Reading some right wing blogs today, guys are scared as hell that they're about to get clubbed in the senate/house coming up here. Can some of you junkies fill me in, what kind of numbers would the dems need to gain to get a supermajority capable of:

1. Stopping all fillibusters supposing Obama wins

2. Overriding a McCain veto on partisan lines

If someone has time, a link to some early projections would be nice too. It looks like almost every seat thats R+5 and above is gonna be endangered....what would that look like?

289 and 67 on the veto thing....guessing I learned that in govt.

Today's word is Senator Stevens and John Cornyn are both on the hotseat in contests that haven't been in play in decades...

I was going to post an article by Karl Rove about this Herm, but didn't think anyone would read it. He says the Republicans are in trouble.

You hear a lot of talk these days about how McCain could very well walk away with this thing, but the GOP strategists don't seem very optimistic. Either way, they're downright gloomy about their chances in Congress.
