So I got bored of winning superbowls on Madden 2008 for the Wii (and yes I had it on pro not rookie), so I decided to change things up a bit.

I started a new franchise mode and made an all Michigan team (college based, not state of birth of course). Here is my team:

(depth chart based on player rating in game) I also color coded them for you based on team colors (U of M, MSU, CMU)

QB Brady/Griese/Stanton (sorry, Henson sucks)
HB Perry/Thomas/Duckett
FB Askew
WR Burress/Edwards/Muhammed/Mason/Toomer/Kircus (KR)
TE Baker (none of the U of M TE's are in the game)
LT Flozell/Staley (Backus is overpaid)
LG Hutch/Kieft
C Ghiaciuc/Goodwin
RG Bass/Kieft
RT Jansen/Runyon

LE Cullen Jenkins/Bazuin
RE Hall/Robaire Smith
DT Peko/Branch/Watson
LOLB Gold/Woodley (peterson makes too much)
MLB Foote/Hopson/Harris
ROLB June/Dhani Jones
CB Law/Woodson/Leon Hall
FS Renaldo Hill
SS Jackson (CB in game, have to play out of position)
K Rayner
P ?

Note, this doesn't have any other players to add besides Backus and Peterson that I mentioned. Also some washouts like Henson, Collins, Terrell are in the game but not good enough for the team.

It's actually not a bad team, and fun to play. My goal is to draft all players from the state regardless of position and rating.

Trying to prove your connection to the state of Michigan isn't tenuous, at best? lol

Aren't there a couple of guys from GVSU and/or SVSU in the league still?

What about EMU and WMU?

I don't think EMU has any. Is Batch still playing (if he is he's worse than Stanton I am sure)? Rice is retired now.

WMU has Jason Babin, but he's slightly worse than Bazuin (and also from a rival).

The only GVSU I have is Kircus, who returns my kicks.

It's definately challenging because the DT's are not good. Peko is the best of the bunch and he's only an 80 rating I think. I get very little sacks without blitzing 1-2 LB's. Also, the RB's are pretty bad in comparison to the rest of the league. Perry is an 81, while every other team probably has an 88 or higher. I can only get about 5-7 yards on good running plays before getting run down. He is a very good reciever though from that position. Hopefully I can draft a better RB.

I also turned the level to the highest (all-pro). I went from 60 point wins to barely squeeking out single digit wins.

SVSU has a few players in the league and most of them are starting as of last year...........

DE -- Paul Spicer (Jacksonville Jaguars)
LG -- Todd Hermanns (Philadelphia Eagles)
MLB -- John DiGorgio (Buffalo Bills)

These guys are in the league, but aren't starters.........

WR -- Glenn Martinez (Denver Broncos)
WR -- Ruvell Martin (Green Bay Packers)

And I know you don't like WMU cats, but Greg Jennings played great last year and emerged as Favre's go-to guy in the 2nd half of the season.

Brandon Carr was just drafted out of GVSU in the 5th round to the Chiefs. Pretty sure that's it besides some scraps.

I forgot about Jennings. I'll have to grab him (half my WR's will probably retire in the game next year). I might grab the LG too since I am low on those. Thanks.

Couldn't the punter be Brandon Fields???

He was the Dolphins punter last year and he went to MSU...

I'll see if he's on there. Thanks.
