Glenn 05-09-2008, 11:39 AM Jazz owner Larry Miller to skip Sunday playoff game
SALT LAKE CITY, May 8 (AP) - Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller says he won't attend Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals because it's being played on a Sunday.
Miller, a member of the Mormon church, says he won't attend because of religious reasons. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourages members to avoid non-religious activities on Sundays.
Miller told The Salt Lake Tribune he probably won't watch the game on TV or listen on radio, but his wife might watch the game and give him updates while he takes a long drive.
The Lakers-Jazz game will be Utah's first Sunday home game since the 2001 playoffs.
Apparently, "taking a long drive" is a religious activity.
WTFchris 05-09-2008, 11:46 AM And apparently his wife isn't religious.
Tahoe 05-11-2008, 04:07 PM That wasn't a flagrant 2 imo. Just making sure he didn't get the bunny.
Black Dynamite 05-11-2008, 10:49 PM AK47 doing a Tayshaun on kobe using his length. good move. Like any series, there's no clear cut winner until somebody loses on the road (not counting game 7 of course)
Timone 05-15-2008, 01:19 AM Okur's a bitch. Dude can't even defend a Frenchman, let alone prevent Gasol from punking his ass.
Tahoe 05-15-2008, 05:15 PM The refs let Gasol punk him though, imo. I mean he's fighting an achilles tendon situation and the refs let Gasol push him around. I thought there were 3 straight possessions last night where PG douched MO with no whistle.
Wilfredo Ledezma 05-16-2008, 03:12 PM Maybe I'm being unfair, but despite having a legitimate stud in Deron Williams is their a tougher team to watch than the Utah Jazz?? I mean seriously, for whatever reason, and maybe I only have myself to blame, I just cannot sit down and watch an entire Utah Jazz game (unless they're playing Detroit).
Glenn 05-16-2008, 03:16 PM I'd rather watch the Jazz than the Cavs and Spurs.
WTFchris 05-16-2008, 03:32 PM I agree with Glenn. I'm not a fan of either team(Jazz or Lakers) but Boston/Cavs is the worst series going right now.
Tahoe 05-16-2008, 03:40 PM I hope this isn't taken wrong...but whenever I watch a Jazz HOME game I'm constantly looking in the stands for an African American. It looks like there are more AAs on the team than in Utah.

Timone 05-16-2008, 10:58 PM Might as well root for the Jazz in this one. Three game sevens can't hurt.
Timone 05-16-2008, 11:05 PM LA is pissing on the legacy of Joseph Smith.

I agree that Utah fans are the absolute worst. Philly sucks pretty bad too, and Knicks fans are just total assholes to their own team, but Utah fans are, bar none, the most obnoxious basketball fans on the planet.
