I thought the NBA was going to a reseeding format?

If ATL pulls this off and LeBron gets to walk theough them while we are slogging it out with ORL, I will not be happy!

Same thing is happening out west, so I guess maybe there is no reseeding. LA gets Utah, the higher seed,, but an easier match-up for them.

CONSPIRACY!!!!!

There never was re seeding. They never even really considered it, and they shouldn't have to.

A champion should never bitch about its playoff schedule. Champions should be willing to go through anybody.

The number 1 seed played all year long to get home court and they should be able to play the lowest seed, imo.

the number 1 seed has homecourt over anybody they come up against. That's all they earned.

If we wind up with the tougher of the 2 opponents, so be it. if we can't beat Orlando we don't deserve the damn trophy anyway.

i hate to say it, but i agree with kstat.

only pussies should bitch about getting more than home court advantage, play who you play.

It ain't about bitchin about anything. Its about setting up a system. I don't completely disagree with it, just saying I think reseeding has its merits too.

not as many merits as this system does.

We wouldn't even be playing tonight. We'd be waiting until sunday to figure out who we play, and then we'd be starting our series on tuesday.

Uh uh, with all the complaints about the days between games, fuck that shit.

Pistons/Magic game 1 thread saturday>>>>>>>Who do you want to win tomorrow's hawks/celtics game so we can finally get a fucking playoff opponent after 5 days thread saturday

i'm saying to complain about it after decades of playoffs w/o it being an issue to anybody but whiners. The Bulls never complained. The lakers didnt. Its teams with no titles whining about it imo. They are looking for extra perks. But Home court advantage is enough.

And no I wasnt saying you were bitching I'm speaking more to analysts and supposed experts who bring it up.

gotcha, my bad.

I guess if the 7th seed dethrones the 2nd seed. Shouldn't the 7th seed get the benefits of the 2nd seed? Or should the regular season count more?

^ thats the question, imo.

Why not let the top 1-3 teams from each conference pick who their first round opponent will be?
