View Full Version : OST: Tigers @ Yankees (4/29-5/1)
Wilfredo Ledezma 04-28-2008, 03:02 PM Gm 1: 7:05 PM EST, FSN+, Kenny Rogers (1-3) Vs. Phil Hughes (0-3)
Gm 2: 7:05 PM EST, FSND-HD, Jeremy Bonderman (1-2) Vs. Andy Pettitte (3-2)
Gm 3: 7:05 PM EST, FSN+, Nate Robertson (1-3) Vs. Ian Kennedy (0-2)
Gotta like those pitching matchups. Especially since we don't have to face Chien-Ming Wang, who has pretty much dominated us each year.
Also, Posada is on the DL, he's a Tiger killer as well. Good thing we are catching the Yanks this early, b/c you know at some point they are going to get hot.
Wilfredo Ledezma 04-29-2008, 07:40 AM A-Rod will miss at least the first couple games, if not the whole series.
He re-aggrivated his quad injury last night Vs. the Tribe...
Get ready for Wilson Betemit
Glenn 04-29-2008, 08:18 AM Get ready for Wilson Betemit
Betemit is on the DL, although I think he's eligible to be activated this week.
They have Morgan Ensberg and Alberto Gonzalez, too
DrRay11 04-29-2008, 09:20 AM I have a sinking feeling about this series... Hope I'm wrong.
Timone 04-29-2008, 06:58 PM 11-15 isn't good, but it still looks a lot better than 0-7 and 2-10...
Kenny on the mound, bleh.
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 07:11 PM New York who?
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:11 PM Excellent, 2-0. Rogers is going to need all the runs he can get.
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:14 PM I'm gonna go ahead and predict a 12-5 victory today.
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 07:16 PM The more we trounce these fuckers the better.
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:17 PM Kenny with the strike out. A rare sight nowadays.
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:32 PM Rod Allen loves candy. Baby Ruth, Snickers, M&Ms, nose candy...
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:43 PM 2 to 2
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:43 PM Now the Yanks are gona start teeing off on him.
Vinny 04-29-2008, 07:50 PM Curtis Granderson, YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!!
Vinny 04-29-2008, 07:53 PM Curtis Granderson, YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!!
(Edit: Just realized that's a Bears thing from Devin Hester in Chicago so if you don't get it just ignore it. It's really not that funny or cogent anyways...)
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 07:54 PM Shef baby!
Vinny 04-29-2008, 07:55 PM Welcome back, Gary...
Hughes sucks.
Timone 04-29-2008, 07:56 PM Grandy and Sheffy both go yard!
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 07:56 PM I'm smellin what the Shef is cookin
Vinny 04-29-2008, 07:56 PM Tahoe, you watching the Yanks feed? Did they just show Doc Gooden at the game?
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 07:58 PM I get both feeds this year. I"m getting Detroit. I think its the same video but teams do their own audio.
Rod said...Oh theres a lil golf clap by doc. I laughed.
Timone 04-29-2008, 08:20 PM Wayta go, Kenny. Three straight 2 out walks.
Vinny 04-29-2008, 08:22 PM He's like Todd Jones 'n shit out there.
Timone 04-29-2008, 08:25 PM Never doubted you Kenny!
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 08:26 PM dodged one
Timone 04-29-2008, 08:47 PM The Yankees' PA guy sounds like he's about 100.
DrRay11 04-29-2008, 10:21 PM Let' do it TJ.
DrRay11 04-29-2008, 10:24 PM I despise leadoff walks.
DrRay11 04-29-2008, 10:26 PM 6-4, 1 on, no one out.
Vinny 04-29-2008, 10:28 PM So, I went on the Teacups in Disney World last week. Good stuff, you can really get those things spinning when you're full grown.
Tahoe 04-29-2008, 10:29 PM Never in doubt
DrRay11 04-29-2008, 10:30 PM Game, blouses.
Wilfredo Ledezma 04-30-2008, 06:15 PM Granderson out of the lineup today.
Not sure why.
You know Leyland, he loves to tinker.
WTFchris 04-30-2008, 06:36 PM I think it's the lefty thing.
DrRay11 04-30-2008, 06:48 PM Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it.
Vinny 04-30-2008, 07:17 PM Bondo can't throw a strike to save his life.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 07:43 PM Just got in a couple of mins ago, but CG looked pretty good on that play at 3rd. Range, glove, foot work and throw all good.
Vinny 04-30-2008, 07:46 PM Just got in a couple of mins ago, but CG looked pretty good on that play at 3rd. Range, glove, foot work and throw all good.
Was thinking the same thing. Cabrera would have thrown it a foot wide in the dirt.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 07:47 PM I'm going to say this every time Bondo pitches...sorry, but Bondo needs an offseason work out plan person.
He's twenty friggin four, or so and a proffesional athlete and he has baby fat on him. He starts sucking air by the 5th.
I think a workout plan for hm would work wonders for his pitching.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 07:49 PM Was thinking the same thing. Cabrera would have thrown it a foot wide in the dirt.
Or CG wouldn't have been able to field it.
To Cabs credit, he looked a lot more like a first sacker than CG did on the catch. Granted, thats not saying much.
DrRay11 04-30-2008, 07:57 PM I was thinking, Cabrera just looks like a 3.
Through 3 innings down 2-1.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:19 PM Marcus! Dinger with my man Renteria on so we take a 3-2 lead.
Timone 04-30-2008, 08:21 PM Marcus has been one of My Tigers over the last couple years.
MoTown 04-30-2008, 08:21 PM I'm going to say this every time Bondo pitches...sorry, but Bondo needs an offseason work out plan person.

Willis can join him.

Come on, dude. He's dyslexic.
Timone 04-30-2008, 08:28 PM Look at that, a commercial for MY school, the University of Michigan.
Hail to the Victors! <---bootlick
Timone 04-30-2008, 08:30 PM Jesus, look at that dome...
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:34 PM Missed a run watching Hillary on Bill O'Reilley.
I hope there is disgust with the mixing of Sports and Politics :)
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:35 PM Can someone rewind this inning for me? thx if you have a quick recap.
3 straight hits? I saw one
Timone 04-30-2008, 08:35 PM Nah, I'm not disgusted. I think we should mix the two more.
Politics should be everywhere IMO. ; )
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:37 PM boy, cabs might need to join Bondo and Willie in that workout thing
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:38 PM Politics is everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 08:40 PM Carlos...you're like 90 years old. You aren't going to steal a bag. Stay close to first.
Timone 04-30-2008, 08:40 PM He's not 90, but his body probably is though.
Vinny 04-30-2008, 08:52 PM boy, cabs might need to join Bondo and Willie in that workout thing
Unfortunately he did this offseason. You should have seen him by the end of last year. He's lost like 25 pounds and still is probably pushing 250.
Vinny 04-30-2008, 08:53 PM Bondo with 0 K's is a bit disturbing. He's pitching well but you've gotta miss some bats at some point.
Timone 04-30-2008, 09:07 PM Ugly throw to first by Guillen, scooped by Cabrera though.
Vinny 04-30-2008, 09:07 PM 11 in a row now for Bonderman.
Timone 04-30-2008, 09:09 PM Farnsworth. Who in the fuck did we trade that guy for anyway?
Timone 04-30-2008, 09:10 PM No fuckin' way.
DrRay11 04-30-2008, 09:12 PM Hell yea, Polanco.
DrRay11 04-30-2008, 09:27 PM I have a feeling Leyland is leaving Bonderman in there too long...
DrRay11 04-30-2008, 09:34 PM Glad I'm wrong again :)
Timone 04-30-2008, 09:38 PM Me too.
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 09:47 PM Roller coaster time
Timone 04-30-2008, 09:48 PM Wrong. It's Clay time!
Tahoe 04-30-2008, 09:49 PM See post #63 :)
Train Wreck 05-01-2008, 01:58 AM Farnsworth. Who in the fuck did we trade that guy for anyway?
Roman Colon and Zach Miner
Vinny 05-01-2008, 04:18 AM lmao
Glenn 05-01-2008, 04:46 AM ha ha
Also, nice perm, Farns.
That dude grabs his cack more than anyone in baseball.
Tahoe 05-01-2008, 08:52 PM Yanks tied it up but its been a fun game to watch, other than Robertsons pitching
Tahoe 05-01-2008, 09:05 PM Ramon Santiago with a great bit of timely hitting. He hit a gapper with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
He has been impressive this year.
Tahoe 05-01-2008, 09:36 PM Miner with a huge out, still 6-4
Tahoe 05-01-2008, 09:55 PM Cabs with a 2 run shot. 8-4. I love kickin the Yanks butts.
Wilfredo Ledezma 05-01-2008, 10:38 PM 1.5 back of Division Lead
Vinny 05-01-2008, 10:59 PM First sweep in NYC since 1966.

MoTown 05-01-2008, 11:36 PM Great night for Detroit!
DrRay11 05-02-2008, 12:16 AM Good game, I was in and out watching this one while working on my mixing room. Saw most of our runs get scored, it was nice.
Vinny 05-02-2008, 05:21 PM How did Cruceta look?
Like 6 of his first 7 pitches were balls but then he settled in nicely. He walked Abreu then went 3-1 on Duncan before he got Duncan and Matsui to ground out and Matsui to line out to left.
DrRay11 05-02-2008, 05:21 PM He was wild for the first couple of batters, but then settled in with a mid-90's fastball and a solid breaker.
