View Full Version : Remember what I said about Mike Hart?

I said he might not even be drafted. Well, others are starting to think that, too.

1. Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma
2. Reggie Smith, CB, Oklahoma

3. Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan
He had a poor NFL Combine, and there are some off-field concerns. He recovered with a good pro day, but the prior efforts most likely push him well into the second- or third-round area.
4. Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia
5. Andre' Woodson, QB, Kentucky
7. Martin Rucker, TE, Missouri
8. Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State
9. Ali Highsmith, LB, LSU
10. Mike Hart, RB, Michigan
He has fallen hard after an injury-riddled final season. He followed that up with a poor NFL Combine performance and pro day, which pushes him to the late rounds. There is a chance Hart won't be selected.

Well, I can't say I would be surprised if he goes undrafted.

I bet millen takes him in the 7th if he is around, though not for any good reason. Anyways, I'll admit I was wrong about hart if you admit you were wrong about henne.

Mike will be drafted in the later rounds.

In what way was I wrong about Henne? If I remember correctly, I stated he was an average Big Ten QB. Nothing spectacular, but serviceable. If I said he will not be drafted, then it appears I will be wrong. However, I don`t remember saying that, but if I did, it appears I was wrong.

I think dungver would grab him, low attributes aside he's an amazingly effective Zone blocking scheme runner. Can't say he'd be as effective in any other set up though. Dungver, Oakland, and houston would all be good fits for him. Since Oakland isnt likely its down to houston and denver.

I think he's a 5th-7th rounder still. He'd make a solid 3rd down back IMO.

How disappointed would you guys be if we grabbed him in the 6th or 7th round?

I don't want him. I'm hoping Calhoun can be a third down type of back. I guess those picks are almost worthless anyway, but why not spend them on an OG or two and see if we can get a steal there?

"Average, serviceable" big 10 qbs are not drafted on the first day.

Anyways, your comments:

You want to make another bet? I will bet you Henne is not chosen the first day. And may not be chosen at all...

I realize you freaks who dream of boys clad in blue and yellow are unable to employ objectivity when it comes to one of the football cherubs you so admire, but Henne is not a good QB. He is average at best on a team with a lot of talent around him. The kid couldn`t lead an army of ants down an anthill.

U-M's Hart expects to be drafted in third round
by The Grand Rapds Press

Mike Hart finished his Michigan career with 5,040 rushing yards.Michigan running back Mike Hart joined Bill Simonson on "The Huge Show" on Wednesday to talk about this weekend's NFL draft and his four-year career with the Wolverines.

"Obviously the big question with me coming out is my size and my speed," said Hart, who finished as Michigan's all-time leading rusher. "I'll probably go in the third round (of the NFL draft). I don't think I'll get into the second.

"I'll go from there and try to make it a long career in the NFL. I just want to get there first, and prove myself again."

I don't think he will be drafted in the third but I don't think he'll still be there by the end of the 5th

I heard a "draft expert" on the radio from USA TODAY yesterday who also said that he think Hart is 3rd round bound.

I'd guess 5th or 6th rd, m'self.

I don't think getting to play with Peyton Manning is a bad thing.

The colts is a great situation for him. Zone Blocking Scheme, Sharing time with Joseph Addai, and getting more chances as a receiver out the backfield as the colts are one of the better blocking straight up teams in the NFL.

I agree on the good situation in Indi as well.

Mike Hart gets drafted, preseason All-American Drew Neitzel does not.

Just sayin'....
