So, just because Dallas beat NO in the last meaningless game of the regular season I'm supposed to believe that their problems are fixed and they're going to come out and win this series? I don't think so.

Zekyl

I'm with SDB, NO wins this series. Dirk may make it interesting, but he doesn't have enough to push them over the top. Jason Kidd is not shutting down Chris Paul. Its just not happening.

Is it bad that I've liked Dallas for a long time (my parents used to live in Dallas so I've always had a bit of interest in them) but I'm rooting against them just because I want Avery fired so we can drop Flip and hire him?

Nowitzki spent time in a hyperbolic chamber. When he was in there, he watched Dodgeball and Zoolander...he also got dumber. Zoolander is one of the worst films ever

Fuck you, Tirico!

the crowd seems jacked. i want to pick dallas because they are the more established, tested, team. and i think they desperately want to win this series.

orleans is probably a little under respected and overlooked, though. chris paul is probably the mvp, and chandlerhas emerged as a legit big man, a young marcus camby.

these teams are pretty even, i think, but i got to go with the veteran, desperate team. who knows though. the only thin that would surprsie me would be this ereis ending in 4 or 5. should go 7.

Timone

Being overlooked helps NO.

b-diddy
04-19-2008, 07:31 PM
the pistons have the monopoly on being overlooked. but its cool, by them being the 'overlooked' team, we become the overlooked for being overlooked team. which is even better.

by the way, NO, utah, and we are the only teams that can claim being overlooked. and right now i would say we have only a tenuous connection to that list.

Timone
04-19-2008, 07:32 PM
Yeah, I remember some dude on ATH saying the Pistons were flying under the radar. My ass they are.

Dallas has come out playing extremely well. Looks like NO really is a good matchup for them. Even though I picked the Hornets, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs pulled this one out.

Who ever comes out of the west is going to be a wrecked shell of themselves. These teams are murdering each other in every game.

right now i think there is an outside chance i watch every single game of these playoffs.

its a serious committment, but i have alot of free time and few committments. i might have to miss a night here or there, but i think ill be watching damn near every game. why the fuck not? itll be years til we have another one that matches this one. who knows, i might have like 15 kids some day, might be the last playoffs i can really go 'all in' like this.

Timone

Ok I'm back.

diddy, I'm probably going to watch every game except for Rockets-Jazz, which is weird because that's a better series than Boston-ATL.

If I had to pay money to watch any NBA player play, it would be Chris Paul.

That little fucker is amazing. It's like watching Zeke all over again.

Could it be any more obvious that Hubie loves Chris Paul?

He makes a couple plays...

Trade for McGrady. Because he's dumb when it comes to putting teams together (even though I like Tasty McGravy)

Unbelieveable 1st quarter.

Just insane.

CP3 for MVP.
Benn saying that forever. Kobe gets an elite center to get his team up into its spot, Chris Paul benn making his team this good. He gets robbed if he doesnt win it.

Black Dynamite

• Paul first player in history with back-to-back 30-pt, 10-ast, 3-steal games. Also first player in history with 30 points and 10 assists in first two career playoff games.

WTFChrisPaul.com :yingyang:

I dont know, but the hornets may be my favorite in the west ahead of LA if they meet. Mainly because whatever matchup Kobe has, its not even close to the mismatch of laker pg's on Paul.

I still can't believe I picked Dallas to win this series on the Playoff Challenge thing.

What the fuck was I thinking?

Black Dynamite
04-22-2008, 10:47 PM
I'd give wil"brother"fredo's left arm to have Stuckey be as aggressive as Paul. In do time maybe, but he still has to get more drives going in this coming game.

What a difference home court makes.

Dallas gets beaten down a couple times in NO, then come home and look good. The Hornets are still within 9 though, so this game still isn't over.

Timone
04-27-2008, 11:40 PM
NO up 13.

I'm kinda disappointed with how these first round series(es) out West (and CLE-WSH out East) are turning out. NO about to go up 3-1, SA up 3-1, LA up 3-0, and Utah up 3-1.

The 2nd round matchups, assuming all the teams with the leads advance, will be VERY good though. LA-Utah, SA-NO, ORL-DET (assuming they beat Philly), and BOS-CLE? Fuck it, I'll take it.

Fool
04-27-2008, 11:42 PM
That's because the depth of the West was overated, just like the Pistons.

Timone
04-27-2008, 11:43 PM
I'm starting to agree just a little bit. The records will disagree, but Denver plays zero D and they really have no chance at all (I thought it'd go 6). PHX/DAL were also both fucked from the start as well apparently.

Timone
04-27-2008, 11:46 PM
Kidd should be ejected for that IMO.

And he is.

It looked like he was looking for Jake "The Snake" Roberts' patented DDT.
