Don't miss critical free throws this time Gilbert...

BTW...I like the fact Washington is running their yaps, so fuck a Charles. It's making a series that I wasn't interested in a week or two ago interesting. Doesn't hurt that it seems like the two teams don't like each other either, because I like new rivalries developing.

When teams legitimately don't like each other, it makes everything SO much more interesting.

Same here. When LeBron dunks, he tends to surprise the fuck out of me.

Thank you Washington and Cleveland (can't believe I said that), for a great start to this year's playoffs!

I was at the gym, so I only saw a little bit of it, but how did Jameson get a Tech when LeBron grabbed his leg and threw him?

And how did LeBron not get a tech when he intentionally elbowed Haywood in the face after a foul was called.

note: I know the answer, but I still wanted to ask the question.

I can see that Cleveland's decided to use the lame Miami tactic of having every fan wearing the same colored t-shirt; because, of course, that's what makes a crowd great.

i knew the wizards were fucked when kstat picked them. he also was ripping cleveland so the cavs will robably win the title this year.

LeBron DID get a tech on that play. They called a double tech on James and Haywood and a tech on Jamison for running into the fray a little too ferociously.

I love how this guy accuses me of always being wrong, I wind up being right, and he goes and does it again in another thread, and hopes nobody will notice he just got owned...

I'm not sure if it's sarcasm or not, but it's funny as hell.

b-diddy
04-19-2008, 07:12 PM
its not sarcasm at all. your almost always wrong.

you said phx had no chance going into the 3rd overtime. they had an excellent chance and it cme down to no one giving help on a slashing ginoblii.

you do see the difference, right? just because the suns lost doesnt mean they had no chance. you were wrong and yet you still thing you 'owned' me. that amuses me. very kstatian.

So, do you guys like the Wiz or the Brons tonight?

Timone
04-21-2008, 04:11 PM
Brons in another close one.

Honestly, I did like what I saw from the Wiz in game 1 though. Hopefully they can do the same things they did Saturday and this time close the deal.

I will be disappointed if there are no altercations in this one though, because the first game left me wanting more.

Glenn
04-21-2008, 04:13 PM
It's clear that the Wiz are going to need their "A game" to beat the Cavs in Cleveland (playing 5-on-8 is tough)

I'd love to see it, but it might be wishful thinking.

Timone
04-21-2008, 04:16 PM
Of the two games tonight (the other being Jazz-Rockets), this is the only one I'm watching.

Haywood had a "break through" game in game 1. Can he sustain it? If so, that'd be pretty nice for the Wiz. Deshawn needs to shoot better than 1-9 or whatever it was as well.

Timone
04-21-2008, 07:08 PM
Dear LeBron,

You are a great player. Get used to the fact that people are going to be grabbing you and fouling you hard. They're trying to prevent you from getting an easy layup or dunk. Stop acting like a baby.

Besides, it's not like you need that to motivate you.

Timone

Tech on Arenas, flagrant on Verajao. I love it.

Black Dynamite
04-24-2008, 10:44 PM
Just one game, but they are on the right track. The cavs are used to series adversity though thanks to two years of playing against us in the playoffs.

I will say that Lebron is too built an athlete to be soft about the physical play coming at him. Credit to the wizards for being willing to get physical with them

It's good to see the Cavaliers lose, but I'm getting mightily sick of the various Wizards' players celebrating after every made basket. Even Antoine Walker didn't shimmy that often.

I won't mind when he does it to Detroit, because scoring over Sheed in the playoffs is an accomplishment worth celebrating.

I did find LeBron's postgame quotes amusing.

He basically called Washington's crowd atmosphere "inferior" to Detroit's.

MoTown

Now that Cleveland lost a game to the Wizards, does that mean they were just "fucking around and should be ashamed," or does that term only apply when the Pistons lose a game?

Big Swami
04-25-2008, 09:00 AM
Cleveland's crowd is inferior to Detroit's too. Detroit has all the guys who talk shit behind the opponent's bench. The only crowd more enthusiastic is Utah, and those people are just plain obnoxious. The kind of crowd that cheers when an opposing player is injured.

Glenn
04-25-2008, 09:03 AM
I remember hinting at the fact that the Wizards just might be better without Arenas, it's really starting to look that way.

Somebody is going to have to be really stupid to throw a max deal his way.

Also, I heard that the Wiz crowd was chanting "overrated" very loudly for LJ in addition to booing him every time he touched the ball (I only caught bits and pieces of the game).

Love that.

Only to the pistons who have a far shittier opponent than the cavs. Now if Boston got it handed to them at home, then yea.

Kstat
04-25-2008, 12:35 PM
"far shittier?"

The Sixers finished a whole 5 games behind the Cavs, and had a far better record after the all star break...

Black Dynamite
04-25-2008, 01:09 PM
They are also a far worse team. Dalembert is their only interior presence and Igoudala is fairly one dimensional. After that its rookies, inconsistent andre miller, and nobody's. Shame on the cavs for underachieving, props to mo cheeks for getting the sixers to overachieve. But the sixers are not that good and have very lil' talent overall.

Timone

100-97 Cavs, just under 6 seconds to go.

The least Washington and Atlanta can do is tire out Cleveland and Boston a little before they meet in the 2nd round, assuming the Cavs and Celtics both advance.

Washington’s Darius Songaila Suspended
Posted May 2 2008 12:13PM

NEW YORK, May 2, 2008 – Washington Wizards forward Darius Songaila has received a one game suspension without pay for striking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the face with his hand, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 3:20 remaining in the first period of Washington’s 88-87 win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday, April 30 at Quicken Loans Arena. Songaila will serve the suspension tonight when the Wizards host Cleveland in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference First Round.
