View Full Version : OGT: T'Wolves at Pistons (4/15, 7:00 PM EST, FSN) Wilfredo Ledezma 04-15-2008, 03:28 PM I don't think Craig Smith is playing. Kstat 04-15-2008, 03:32 PM I'll be in the house for this one. Looking to go out on a winning note before the playoffs. MoTown 04-15-2008, 03:34 PM Loss. Because Wil started the game thread. Timone 04-15-2008, 03:35 PM But he put no poll! Fool 04-15-2008, 03:35 PM My daughter and I will be there as well. I can't wait to see the kids play. She can't wait to see Hooper. gusman 04-15-2008, 03:47 PM going as well, hitting up some bars on the way Timone 04-15-2008, 03:49 PM I'm also going. ok, I'm not. Glenn 04-15-2008, 04:57 PM I'm happy I'm not going. I'll probably watch the Tigers and just hope nobody gets hurt for the Pistons. Go Valter! Kstat 04-15-2008, 04:59 PM If anybody wants to hit me up, ill be in section 215, row 11. Wilfredo Ledezma 04-15-2008, 05:00 PM I don't think Valter's going to be active Glenn, my guess is Pistons play to win this game so they can guarantee homecourt in the Finals... Hopefully if we win tonight, we'll be able to see Samb and Valter tomorrow... also Chauncey may be out tonight, he did not practice (per RotoWorld) Kstat 04-15-2008, 05:00 PM Flip said he's going to rest one starter. Odds are it's Chauncey. Wilfredo Ledezma 04-15-2008, 05:01 PM Minnesota Sweep Tonight (Tigs, Stons win), then the Cleveland sweep tomorrow... Zekyl 04-15-2008, 06:06 PM Its Me to start then? Glenn 04-15-2008, 08:22 PM [smilie=blaha.gif] I WANT LED ZEPPELIN, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE!! Glenn 04-15-2008, 08:28 PM Oh shit, Lindsey is falling in love with his jumper. DE 04-15-2008, 08:29 PM So who's the old dude draining jumpers? Tahoe 04-15-2008, 08:31 PM Nate still pitching. :) DE 04-15-2008, 08:33 PM Dude, take pity on me. I'm flipping channels over the Atlantic at 2:30 in the morning as it is. You're cross posting will end up giving me a seizure. Glenn 04-15-2008, 08:50 PM Dave Cowens reminds me of that drunk uncle that everyone has that works in sales. Black Dynamite 04-15-2008, 09:42 PM Mccants is a dumbass. From his trying to look hateful on Dwight Howards dunk to bumping people and screaming about dunks in a loss, he's a lame. DrRay11 04-15-2008, 09:46 PM Wolves might get this one yet. Not if Stuckey takes over, however. Timone 04-15-2008, 09:49 PM It has taken Al Jefferson a ton of shot attempts (26) to get 30, but I still like the guy a lot. Black Dynamite 04-15-2008, 10:00 PM Al Jefferson is a great compliment guy, but not one you build your team around. Not Athletic enough, doesnt have much range, and his defense is suspect. But as a guy to go to in the post he's damn solid. Timone 04-15-2008, 10:03 PM Tigers and Pistons both in Cleveland tomorrow. Let's burn the motherfucker down. MoTown 04-15-2008, 10:17 PM Which game will Zekyl go to? Kstat 04-15-2008, 10:54 PM 19-2. Kstat 04-15-2008, 10:55 PM Al Jefferson is a great compliment guy, but not one you build your team around. Not Athletic enough, doesnt have much range, and his defense is suspect. But as a guy to go to in the post he's damn solid. He's Kevin McHale part 2. As sure a future HoFer as you can get at age 22, after LeBron. I can watch Jefferson play all game long. He never uses the same move twice. A treat to watch on the low post. geerussell 04-15-2008, 10:56 PM The schedule makers really gave the pistons a smooth landing to finish out the season. Kstat 04-15-2008, 11:02 PM Two things disgusted me tonight: Randy Foye and Rashad McCants. A couple of petulant children out there acting tough when they're down 15 points. Black Dynamite 04-15-2008, 11:11 PM He's Kevin McHale part 2. As sure a future HoFer as you can get at age 22, after LeBron. Yikes i saw nothing of the such. I'd take Boozer over him at the moment. The guy is great in the post though, but no where else....Too one dimensional(post game and a cloud of dust) to start putting him up in the rafters. I think he has to push his game further out much like Zach Randolph did before he becomes a true threat. Though he'll never be a good defender imo. Kstat 04-15-2008, 11:42 PM Yikes i saw nothing of the such. I'd take Boozer over him at the moment. The guy is great in the post though, but no where else.... Where else was McHale great? I'd take Boozer over him too, but not at the same age. I would take Jefferson over Dwight Howard in a heartbeat. Jefferson wipes the floor with Howard every time they play each other. Fool 04-16-2008, 12:02 AM Daughter got a hug from Hooper. A solid game for both of us. Kstat 04-16-2008, 12:08 AM Daughter got a hug from Hooper. A solid game for both of us. Were you in section 216? Zekyl 04-16-2008, 01:19 AM I would take Jefferson over Dwight Howard in a heartbeat. Not cogent. Fool 04-16-2008, 02:34 AM Were you in section 216? 223. Tracked him down over there though so she could say hi. Kstat 04-16-2008, 02:49 AM ah. Uncle Mxy 04-16-2008, 08:24 AM http://blog.mlive.com/kzgazette/2008/04/pistons_nab_34th_home_win_home.html Tuesday's win clinched the league's second-best record for Detroit, meaning it would have home-court advantage if it gets past Boston and the rest of the Eastern Conference an into the finals. "That's nice to have, but I don't think it is critical," Saunders said. "With the 2-3-2 format, I don't know how much it even means." Black Dynamite 04-16-2008, 09:15 AM Jefferson wipes the floor with Howard every time they play each other. Dwight has more upside and is more worthy of building a team around as a true Center. I'd easily take him over Jefferson if i were starting a franchise. Not even close imo. Head to head matchup be damned, the reality is that dwight howard is a big part of his team winning as a center piece on defense and offense. Jefferson is a nice piece to his, but he's far from a game changer. Game changers and great players do it on both sides of the ball(Mchale wasnt as bad a one on one defender as Jefferson and had more range) are a bigger deal imo. But love Jefferson all you want, i'm not calling him a bum. Just not endorsing the HOF next McHale talk. Thats beyond exaggerated and taking him(a post scoring PF) over Dwight Howard(a top 5 true Center already doing 20 and 14 on average)? Not really a good way to build a great team. Which is evident in the records of the teams they've been on in their short careers. BubblesTheLion 04-16-2008, 10:05 AM The schedule makers really gave the pistons a smooth landing to finish out the season. How nice of the NBA to lube the Pistons up before they fuck us, this year. And before the season some of these games should have been meaningful. Glenn 04-16-2008, 10:07 AM I didn't really watch this game, did anything interesting/noteworthy happen? Also, have they scheduled the Stuckey number retirement ceremony for the playoffs or will they wait for the regular season next year? TIA Fool 04-16-2008, 10:14 AM I didn't really watch this game Shocking. did anything interesting/noteworthy happen? My daughter got to hug Hooper. I guess I should have bolded it. Glenn 04-16-2008, 10:15 AM Watched the Tigers instead, didn't want to see a key Piston get hurt vs. Minny. |
