View Full Version : Tiger player rankings...
Tahoe 04-11-2008, 10:38 PM 1. Inge Almost 10 rbi's, timely hitting
2. A Lopez 4 games, 0.00 ERA
3. Renteria A few rbis with some timely hitting, and his glove has NOT went in a slump. Very solid SS.
I was going to do a bottom 3 but too many to choose from.
Grilli is the worst, couldn't come up with the other 2.
Timone 04-11-2008, 10:41 PM That's pretty hard to disagree with.
Tahoe 04-11-2008, 10:43 PM Never would have guessed ERent would be top contributor. He's playing pretty good.
Timone 04-11-2008, 10:44 PM Oh, you've gotta give Clete some love. I'm inserting him in the four spot on your rankings.
Tahoe 04-11-2008, 10:47 PM I thought of him...he's definately right there.
Zekyl 04-11-2008, 11:21 PM Did anyone actually expect him to do this well?
Vinny 04-11-2008, 11:24 PM And Guillen up top too, to round out with five.
For the bottom, I'd go with Dontrelle, Cabrera, Polanco, Pudge and Grilli.
Jethro34 04-11-2008, 11:26 PM Owning him in multiple fantasy leagues has me quickly nominating Placido for the bottom three. For someone who almost always scratches out a hit, his massive lack of production is killing the guys that should be getting pitches to hit and runners to advance.
Guillen has been decent.
Tahoe 04-11-2008, 11:28 PM don't disgree...but Cabrera has 3 errors (?) I think thats right. But 2 of those could have easily gone to CG at 1st.
Vinny 04-11-2008, 11:31 PM Owning him in multiple fantasy leagues has me quickly nominating Placido for the bottom three. For someone who almost always scratches out a hit, his massive lack of production is killing the guys that should be getting pitches to hit and runners to advance.
Guillen has been decent.
You're getting Polancowned!
Wilfredo Ledezma 04-12-2008, 12:37 PM Zach Miner is on the bottom
JickBoy34 04-12-2008, 01:24 PM how did we get zach?
Glenn 04-12-2008, 01:30 PM how did we get zach?
In a trade for Kyle... wait, I can't remember
Tahoe 04-17-2008, 12:06 PM E Rent continues to impress me. His production is way more than I expected. I don't know that much about him so not sure if he can continue, but so far he's a pleasant surprise.
Leads the team in hits, 2nd in rbis, 4th in runs scored...and it seems to me his hits have been timely.
Without ERent or 'the inspirational one' we'd be in a world of hurt right now. And they've both produced from the bottom of the lineup...mostly.
WTFchris 04-17-2008, 12:24 PM Check out some of the comments in the thread about the Edgar trade:

Here's mine:
I like the deal myself. I like Jair, but he didn't show me he'd be more than a 5th starter anyway...yet. Sometimes you never get there. We still had a surpluss of arms with 3 young pitchers in the rotation and Miller/Porcello and a host of other borderline majors canidates in the mix.
One of our biggest weaknesses has been the lack of production outside Maggs/Sheff/Guillen (and Granderson last year). There was a huge dropoff in the second half of our lineup last year. I'd really like to sign Lowell as well, and just go balls out for titles the next couple years, but it won't happen.
Yeah, we gave up some good parts, but if we win it all it will be worth it. We still didn't give up any of our rotation, or best few pitching prospects either.
We actually did one step further than my Lowell prediction (Maybin/Miller for Cabrera)
Zekyl 04-17-2008, 01:11 PM DON'T FORGET THAT ONE PITCHER WE GOT IN THAT TRADE. YOU KNOW, WHATSHISNAME...........
Shit, I'd remember if he was worthwhile, I guess.
Tahoe 04-17-2008, 05:38 PM Good find Chris
