Wasn't one of those games where the starters mailed it in. They played hard, but they had their minutes limited, and philly just made about 20 shots they had no business making.

Stuckey needs to start making shots at the rim, though. Philly got about 15 fast break points off of his missed layups and finger rolls.

No Rip tonight in Philly...

Flip Saunders has decided not to play Rip Hamilton against the Sixers tonight in Philly. Rip's been taking therapy for an inflamed joint between his left hip and groin. According to Saunders and Arnie Kander, Hamilton is making good progress.

So why hold him out tonight? Simple - Saunders didn't want Hamilton to try to do too much in his first game since March 29. Hamilton's hometown is an hour away from here, and he's going to have around 40 friends and family members here. So it's no time to play hero and have a set back with the playoffs only a week away.

So close...

We still have homecourt against anyone but Boston... by the skin of our teeth.

We only need homecourt against SAS and Utah, the rest of the west is soft.

new Orleans ain't soft. You don't get to be #1 in that conference by being soft.

New Orleans will devour your soul.

we should worry about Boston first, i dont even think HCA is really that good in the Finals, if you can steal one of the first 2 games at the other place, its pretty nice to have 3 homegames in a row...in this case i agree with Flip

Hold on , let me screenshot this thread, print it out, build a time machine, and take it back to the 2007 Dallas Mavericks.

In other words, I stand by my statement.

Except the west wasn't nearly as good last year as this year. You didn't have 2nd tier teams in the west go on 22-game winning streaks.

being that only one team has EVER won the middle 3 games at home...I'll pass on that.

That, and the fact if the pistons are on the road to start the finals, I only get 1 ticket instead of 2.

Actually two teams have won the middle three games...

(The Heat did it in 06', Pistons in '04)

Yeah, that's right. Forgot about Miami.

That said, 2 teams out of 24. Not exactly good odds.

If you get a chance at home court in the finals, you take it.

The Pistons won the middle 3 games on the road in the 1990 Finals.

3 in a fucking row on the other team's home court with Portland at full strength.

I have fond memories.
