Lets be realistic, the Jew will not allow a financial opportunity to slip past him.

Glad you came to your senses on the Lakers-Celtics being what Stern wants (I don't agree on the Jew comment).

God, as much as ESPN, Bill Simmons, and David Stern would love for this to happen, I think it would be a real bitch if it did.

I mean, can you imagine how many stupid ass flashback clips of Magic & Bird that would get shoved down our throats that entire series?? I mean Christ, I get a headache just thinking about it...

However, I don't think the Lakers will make it out of the West, and I don't think Boston will make it out of the East.

Fuck what the damn jew wants, I hope America gets "stuck" watching a Spurs/Pistons series again...

Detroit might lose to LA, but I doubt it, and they would certainly lose to the Jazz.

Everyone else is our property.

If we get past the Celtics, which we won't. David Stern loves to send his superstars to the finals at the expense of our Pistons.

Passion of the christ was pretty good if you dont have that anti-religion chip on your shoulder. Havent seen apacalypto but heard good things about it. Either way why are all the nutjobs(woody allen, michael jackson, the pedophile who directed rosemary's baby and the other gay pedophile who directed powder) typically solid in their art?

Timone

I'm not religious but I'm not anti-religion. I just don't feel like watching The Passion.

Its a movie, shouldnt make you feel uncomfortable. Pretty graphic remider of how barbaric the era was. Makes doing time these days look safe.

Also yea the Lakers vs Celtics rig isnt a big issue yet, so derailing may happen.

I never saw the passion of the christ. I saw the South Park knock off version.

I'd laugh is this was the Finals... and we got 4 completely one sided blowouts leading to a sweep. I mean, not one single remotely competative gave. That would serve Stern right.

Wilfredo Ledezma
03-26-2008, 05:21 PM
I could live with this finals matchup if the Celtics got swept...

I think that could be worth it...

I myself like Braveheart and that's it. Lethal Weapon? Consipiracy Theory? The Patriot? Those are all good. Payback, Ransom, Maverick, Mad Max, and Signs are all watchable.

I can't stand by his personal beliefs, but he's one of the best actors out there IMO. I challenge you to find many better actors. I'd probably put Tom Hanks and Harrison Ford up there, but who else would you put above him?

And also, Lakers vs Celtics would suck. It might be about as gay as the coverage of the Patriots undefeated run.

WTFchris
03-26-2008, 05:41 PM
He's 16th all time in gross money, but several of those above him are not great actors (Cruise, Bloom, Robin Williams)

Black Dynamite
03-26-2008, 08:18 PM
bloom is a pretty boy who got to be part of two ridiculously high selling trilogies.

Cruise is a good actor imo. nothing amazing but i personally think he's a very solid actor. Another psycho on the personal field though. Oh and we were talking about his directing efforts. Acting wise he does have a ridiculous high quality resume with quite a few favorites(The Patriot is a personal Favorite).

I've gotten 10000x more entertainment out of Mel Gibson's movies than I would out of a Celtics-Lakers finals.

On a personal level, Gibson and Stern can both go play 2 guys 1 cup.

Mel Gibson is a hack. Braveheart was easily the worst movie to ever win an Academy Award. I remember liking it the first time I saw it, but I saw it again recently and it's damn near unwatchable. It's so emotionally overwrought you'd think it was directed by a 14-year-old goth girl. Most "blockbuster" movie actors are terrible and make me want to puke.

Apocalypto was much much better than braveheart.
I think they gave Mel an oscar because he surprised everyone he made a pretty decent war epic in his second every try directing movies. Never seen the passion, but now that I know Monica Belluci is playing the most famous whore of them all, I'm IN for this.

Wow, i loved Braveheart personally and still do. Better movie than the garbage that was winning awards this year. But to each his own there. My pick for worst academy award winner is easily Titanic. Nothing comes close to making me puke as a movie.

Titanic's story was incredibly shmaltzy, but at least it wasn't a completely inauthentic historical epic written and directed by someone whose sole purpose was making himself look tough. It's like someone gave an Academy Award to "Bruce Willis presents: Bruce Willis Beats People Up And Looks Cool in the Middle Ages, written and directed by Bruce Willis (a Bruce Willis production)."

Its not gibsons fault the studio forced him to play a lead character in his 20's. Nevertheless if you are trying to insinuate Titanic as a better movie than Braveheart, then i'm pretty hurt by such a lie. :emo kid:
