It's ladies night at the Palace, yo!
I believe Willy Green is expected to miss tonight. He loves to kill the Pistons.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 02:22 PM No poll?!
MoTown 03-12-2008, 02:24 PM Settle down.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 02:26 PM I should have known, you sandbaggin' son of a bitch! :D
MoTown 03-12-2008, 02:29 PM I like to keep people on their toes.
Glenn 03-12-2008, 02:30 PM I'm thinking we might see a tie tonight.
Maybe 105-105 or 87-87, not sure.
Glenn 03-12-2008, 03:31 PM Joe shoulda listened to MoTown and got Mo Cheeks instead of Flip 3 years ago
Fuck Mo Cheeks, we need Mo Town.
A real coach of the people.
Kstat 03-12-2008, 03:38 PM Philly has yet to break 80 against us this season.
MoTown 03-12-2008, 03:48 PM Fuck Mo Cheeks, we need Mo Town.
A real coach of the people.
I don't want to toot my own horn, but I sure as hell know how to manage egos. I think the Tampa-2 defense would do wonders for the Pistons. And complacency would not be a problem with me - 75 wins: minimum expectations next year.
Fuck it, I'm calling Joe.
Glenn 03-12-2008, 03:59 PM Dalembert might get 20 boards tonight.
I wonder if we'll play these guys in round 1?
WTFchris 03-12-2008, 04:52 PM Sheed is back tonight, right?
Glenn 03-12-2008, 04:58 PM Sheed is back tonight, right?
Last I heard it was likely that they were going to wait on him until Friday vs. the Spurs at the earliest, but that may have changed.
WTFchris 03-12-2008, 05:00 PM damn. I already put my alpacas in when I thought he was playing. Oh well, Maxiell will save me.
Glenn 03-12-2008, 08:00 PM Hope we have some lube
Up the ol' poopshoot it goes
Defense would be nice
Glenn 03-12-2008, 08:16 PM These guys are chuckers
Are points in the paint so bad?
Must not want to sweat
Laxation 03-12-2008, 08:25 PM I wonder what we have against playing defence today...
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 08:27 PM Even playing good
Basketball, for that matter,
Out of the question.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:09 PM If you find a worse center than Sammy Dalembert than let me know...
Tahoe 03-12-2008, 09:25 PM Even playing good
Basketball, for that matter,
Out of the question.
Is that a post in the Pistons OGT in the form of that Haiku shit you guys do?
Tahoe 03-12-2008, 09:25 PM And 'shit' is in the form of a compliment in that sentence.
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:30 PM Juan Dixon makes turnovers so dumb it makes flip Murray look like a genius. I'm really pissed and feel like he's given the other team severe momentum in atleast 2 different games. Why the fuck cant he stick to shooting 3's and spot up jumpers?
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:31 PM As of 9:17 in the 4th
Theo Ratliff: -15
Juan Dixon: -10
somehow the best part of both of these guys game is supposed to be their D
Tahoe 03-12-2008, 09:34 PM That was a fucking SWEET ASS dunk by Max...on the fly and everything.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:34 PM no call on rip...didn't have to check to know that jack neis is reffing tonights game...
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:35 PM Good foul by Jarvis.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:38 PM Damn, Stuckey made a good push but got too predictable.
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:39 PM As of 9:17 in the 4th
Theo Ratliff: -15
Juan Dixon: -10
somehow the best part of both of these guys game is supposed to be their D
No dixon's defense is a nasty eye sore. What is it with one dimensional players trying to play outside their game(jarvis/dixon)?
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:41 PM not creating enough turnovers, a team like philly should turn the ball over more than 6 times...
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:41 PM and what the fuck is rip missing both FT's for...and dyess 5-10 from the line???
what the hell?
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:45 PM Fucking Pistons, cmon.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:47 PM Sending Dyess to line = sending Ben to line tonight.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:48 PM game over...dyess cant even make a fucking lay up
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:48 PM Dyess shooting layups = Ben shooting layups tonight.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:48 PM fuck what a waste of a night, i literally wasted 3 hours watching this shit
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:49 PM maxiell- 9 minutes
amir- 4 minuets
i mean serioulsy, if your going to toss the game, let the kids play Flipper
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:51 PM Unless we bench Dyess or he suffers an injury, i dont like Theo being the rotation.
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:51 PM maxiell- 9 minutes
amir- 4 minuets

Wont happen with Theo.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:52 PM ^^werd. I called it.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:53 PM I like Theo alot, he's just useless against small teams like Philly...
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2008, 09:54 PM my god, turnover are u kidding me
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:54 PM Theo may be an ass fuck in our rotation. Because Dyess is not being benched, so its gonna eat at Maxiell and amir(Amir especially).
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:54 PM Rip TO, dun.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:55 PM Rip bailed out.
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 09:56 PM I like Theo alot, he's just useless against small teams like Philly...
Most teams are fast and Theo is a sludge. I dont care for him being in the rotation unless Dyess didnt exist. Its gonna fuck our whole postseason over if this shit keeps up. Flip Saunders is going to have adjust based on teams. And I doubt he does.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 09:59 PM gotta foul
Black Dynamite 03-12-2008, 10:00 PM I'm not trying to be hard on Theo. Its more about what we're doing with him. I do think he's a great shot blocker still. But If our coaching staff uses him every night in every game, he was an unfortunate pick up.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 10:04 PM Fuck.
DrRay11 03-12-2008, 10:04 PM GOD DAMN BREWERY!
Tahoe 03-12-2008, 10:05 PM another fadeaway bullshit shot. We're the Pistons damn it! We should be agressive, not friggin fading away.
Timone 03-12-2008, 10:09 PM Fading away? Is it late May already?
Tahoe 03-12-2008, 10:11 PM ^ exactly. CBill dribbles up top then a fadeaway heave from just inside the 3pt line.
Beautiful!
Higherwarrior 03-12-2008, 10:24 PM what a pathetic job tonight. an inexcusable, embarrassing loss.
DrRay11 03-13-2008, 12:19 AM ... and bad, too.
Kstat 03-13-2008, 04:03 AM Good thing I have tickets for sunday and tuesday, I guess...
Higherwarrior 03-13-2008, 07:22 AM ^ do us a favor? run up to flip and smack him in the back of his head regarding his substitution 'pattern'....? that would be great. thanks!
Big Swami 03-13-2008, 07:56 AM I was there. Team looked sluggish all night. Don't know what the problem is. Stop passing the ball to Dyess.
Glenn 03-13-2008, 08:41 AM Philly has built themselves a nice team there.
Dre Miller didn't do shit last night (injury?) but he's a solid PG.
They've got some young scorers in Green, Williams, Carney, etc.
Young and Smith both look promising.
Dalembert, while shaky on offense, is a legit big man in today's NBA (he quietly had 15 rebounds, 3 blocks and a couple of steals last night).
I hate Reggie Evans, but he plays "balls out" (lol) and gives you 10+ boards (when given solid minutes) and lots of hustle.
Iguodala is getting better all the time, has all the tools and is going to break the bank on his next contract. He's a guy that you might be able to build a team around.
Lots of promise there. I'd prefer to dodge them in the playoffs if possible.
Glenn 03-13-2008, 08:45 AM Juan Dixon makes turnovers so dumb it makes flip Murray look like a genius.

That's a joke, right?
Zekyl 03-13-2008, 08:55 AM Fading away? Is it late May already?
:cogent: :sirdouche:
Black Dynamite 03-13-2008, 08:57 AM http://www.wtfdetroit.com/forums/showpost.php?p=227077&postcount=2
Worse at something doesnt make you the same. Flip couldnt hit three's on Dixon's level either. so no they arent the same. :P
Glenn 03-13-2008, 09:11 AM That's a joke, right?
Not at all.
To be clear, I'm not saying they would take us out, but if they bring hustle and energy every night during a series, they could sure take a game or two and stretch that bad boy out to 6 games, especially if "we" take them for granted and try the ol' patented "Pistons sleepwalk".
Timone 03-13-2008, 09:17 AM Here's what I think about a playoff series with those big bad Sixers Glenn is scurred of:

Glenn 03-13-2008, 10:23 AM Anybody want to start the Spurs OGT?
I have an agenda against them, so I'm not the guy.
Big Swami 03-13-2008, 01:27 PM I think from watching the game last night, I can now see for myself very clearly what a lot of us have been saying: that the Detroit Pistons have serious deficiencies that are going to prevent them going very far in the playoffs this year.
