Actors own a wealth of knowleadge:

Ritter, 54, fell ill earlier in the day while working on the sitcom "8 Simple Rules ... for Dating My Teenage Daughter" and died of a torn aorta at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. His family is suing Lee and a radiologist, Dr. Matthew Lotysch, who did a body scan on Ritter two years earlier, for $67 million.

The doctors deny wrongdoing. The radiologist has testified the aorta was normal in the scan but Ritter had coronary artery disease at a relatively young age.

Yasbeck told of the long wait to hear what was happening after Ritter was wheeled away, and of overhearing someone calling "code blue," which she recognized from an audition she had done for the show "ER."

Did you know that in a recent study, it was found that the
average American golfer walks about 900 miles a year?

Another study found American golfers drink, on average,
22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means, on average, American golfers get about 41 miles to
the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud...

I always walk unless I don't have much time. Why should I pay an extra 10-15 bucks a person for that anyway? I spend more time off the cart anyway (because I suck so bad I hit it 3 feet sometimes). Half the fun in golfing is being outdoors doing something, why make it quicker? Might as well put a roof over all baseball parks while you're at it too. Who cares about tradition and ambiance? Make it more convenient.

That's why golf isn't a sport.

I do agree it's not a sport. It's a hobby like Pool, Darts, Ping Pong, Hot Dog eating and Poker.

And while we're at it, NASCAR is not a sport either. It's no more of a sport than Horse Racing, Motorcross, Demolition Derby and all those other contests that are not sports.

Maury is about the best thing on daytime TV right now. I really miss Ricki Lake.

Funny story: when my sister was dirt poor and living at Greenfield & W. Chicago, she couldn't afford a birthday present for me, so she made me a tape of some Ricki Lake shows and a bag of weed. The Ricki Lake episodes were "The Best Of 'You're Not All That'" (which were the prime segments of "You're Not All That" pts. 1, 2, and 3) and "If You Don't Stop Smoking Weed I'm Leaving." It was the only time in my life I actually pissed myself from laughing so hard. I'm not proud of it, but there it is.

Yes, I know this.

I don't smoke weed anymore. If a pothead doesn't piss everyone off by being stupid, immature, and boring, there's always the chance that they'll end up in the can because they hung around the wrong people.

I want very much for marijuana to be decriminalized. I also want very much for people to stop smoking it and find something better to do with their time.

Being that I have a leap day kid now, I learned some useless shit about leap day.

Leap years do not happen in century years not divisible by 400. So 2100, 2200, 2300 etc will not have leap day. If my kid lives to be 96 he will go 8 whole years without a 'true' birthday.

Leap years do not happen in millenia years divisible by 4000. So 4000 will not have a leap day.

There are leap seconds. Depending on how the gravity of other celestial bodies affect the Earth during the year, scientists may add one second to June 30th or December 31st.

Also, in non leap years a leapers legally recognized birthday is Feb 28th, so when he turns 21 he can drink on the 28th rather than March 1st.

Those are the right teams. There's no 'Illinois' teams just Chicago teams so I don't feel a need to root for them. However the Cubs used to have a farm team in my city when I was little and I went to those games, and I've been to Wrigley a ton of times too. I'm closer to UW than UI and have been to a million UW games. The Wings because I thought Stevie Y was the shit. Cowboys because I felt bad for them in the late 80's, then once they started winning it was nice. The Pistons are the one team I can't figure out why as easily. Basketball was my least favorite sport for a long time, really only been a fan for about ten years. It's my number two sport now behind football.

There's my life story with sports. If you read all that you must be really bored lol.

'Missing' penis sparks mob lynching

By Mannir Dan-Ali in Lagos
Police in the south western Nigerian state of Osun say they have embarked on a constant patrol after mobs lynched at least 12 people since last weekend.

All the killings occurred after the victims were accused of making people's genital organs disappear.

The Osun state police commissioner Ganiu Dawodu, who dismissed claims of organ disappearance, told the BBC that the mob killings started two weeks ago and has swept though six main towns in the state including the university town of Ife and the state capital of Osogbo.

''We are terribly worried about the mass hysteria leading to such mob action,'' Mr Dawodu said.

Mobbed

The most gruesome case occurred on Friday when hundreds of members of the evangelical sect Brotherhood of the Cross went to the town of Ilesa for their annual convention.

While the sect members were on a house-to-house preaching mission, someone raised an alarm that his penis had disappeared.

An angry mob descended on the visiting evangelists and burnt eight of them to death. Two buses and a car were also burnt.

The Osun state police commissioner said that they have since arrested two persons including the man who raised the false alarm about disappearing genitals.

Police action

Mr Dawodu told the BBC that the hysteria generated by the incidents is connected to similar accusations in Oyo state where at least six people were burnt to death last month.

Oyo state police commissioner now insists that everywhere is quiet and they have charged a number of people arrested over last month's killings.

In neighbouring Osun the police say they have rescued six people from the hands of angry mobs.

The lucky ones include a woman who was rescued after a mob put a tyre around her neck and was about to set her ablaze.

The police and the state governor have gone on local television and radio appealing to the public not to take the law into their own hands.

They have also appealed to religious leaders and traditional rulers to ask their followers not to take part in such mob actions.

As in Oyo state, the police in Osun have deployed plainclothes detectives on streets of major towns to keep an eye on those they accuse of raising false alarms.

The work "amok" as in "run amok" comes from Indonesia, where certain tribal men have a sincere terror of their penises shrinking and getting sucked into their bodies. Sometimes they get so taken by the fear that they lose control and will strike out at anyone they see.

I'm dead serious about this.
