For the second year in a row, Wings are hit hard by injuries. Also Osgood hasn't played as well. 3 of their 4 top defensemen are out.

It's all due to injuries. If we were healthy none of this would be happening. 100% of the struggles are due to injuries.

Still missing Cleary, Lidstron, Rafalski, Chelios...

The defenseman are what's killing us. We're having alot of trouble keeping the puck in the zone, and that comes down to the guys at the blue line. When you constantly have to reset, that kills your Offensive flow and you score less goals.

Injuries are a big reason why the Wings are struggling but I don't think they are the only reason. The Wings were struggling well before the injuries but managed to squeak out a few wins when they shouldn't have. That falls on Babcock.

Maybe they should do a commercial. It sure helped these guys feel better about the Islanders kicking their ass every year.
