View Full Version : Fun with stats again - Pistons on career list?
WTFchris 02-28-2008, 07:57 PM I noticed today that Billups is 21st all time in 3 pointers made. Most of the guys ahead of him are not playing anymore. He could easily be in the top 10 in another couple years.
Who else do you think will finish on those top lists?
CindyKate 02-28-2008, 08:14 PM Sheed. T's.
Kstat 02-28-2008, 08:23 PM Rip will be near the top in scoring by the time it's done.
geerussell 02-28-2008, 10:15 PM Amir Johnson, blocks.
Timone 02-28-2008, 10:21 PM Sir Douche Baggins, posts.
Zekyl 02-28-2008, 10:40 PM SDB is already #1.
Glenn 02-29-2008, 10:23 AM I wonder who the Pistons all-time PER leader is?

You think so? The lowest scorer on the top 30 list is Mitch Richmond with 21 PPG. RIP averages 18-20 PPG here. RIP should pass him in games played, barring injury though. He's played 659 games so far and Mitch only played 976. RIP should probably be able to play about 1200 games or so I would guess. That would be another 10,000 points or so, putting him about 25th on the all time list.
I guess it depends on your definition of near the top.

You'd have to think Hill.
WTFchris 02-29-2008, 11:38 AM Whoes dead last? The Binary Man?

Your E-Penis is so huge it is beyond attractive into freakishly gross.

My hunch would be Bob Lanier.

PER is adjusted for pace, so I would guess not.

The world may never know:

Also note that it is impossible to calculate PER (at least in the conventional manner described above) for NBA seasons prior to 1978, as the league did not keep track of turnovers before that year.
Uncle Mxy 03-01-2008, 03:05 PM I just took basketball-reference.com PER #s for Lanier and Hill's Detroit seasons, added together and divided by the # of seasons:
Lanier: 22.6
Hill: 22.5
That's close. http://www.basketball-reference.com/about/per.html shows how they sort out PER for older seasons.

In that case, in stead of using Player Efficiency Rating, you can always use the New Efficiency Rating Definition.
Uncle Mxy 12-12-2013, 07:52 AM new stat with no Pistons listed:
