Is it on FSN or TV20??? I have no idea, I just guessed...

Rip may be out w/ food poisoning, personally I don't think it will matter...

actually, it is on TV20, my bad...

it shouldn't matter. this should be a game we run away with. however, knowing our guys it's also a very dangerous and potential 'letdown' game.

i hope we execute and play smart from the beginning. let's not let these young hawks hang around especially since we have another game tomorrow night.

if rip doesn't play i hope we stick to the 3 guards- billups, afflalo and stuckey. i'd rather the 2 young kids pick up the extra minutes than to play flip murray. i know we activated him tonight but i don't think he should get off the bench- let the kids play!

Sounds like a solid plan to me. Start Stuckey at the 2, then when Billups needs a break move Stuckey to the 1 and bring in Afflalo at the 2, then just keep rotating. That could help stave off the complacency also, since the young guys are much less likely to take a team for granted and coast. They're out there trying to improve their games and prove their worth. And I'm with HW, no one wants to see Flip out there chucking up shots and hogging the ball except maybe Glenn. This is a great opportunity for the youngsters to play.

This is our current playoff opponent right now BTW.

Oh dear lord. Really? I hope that sticks. I'd love to play them in the first round.

Every time we play the damn Hawks their announcers go on and on about that "one glorious night" and "what could have been" [edit: didn't realize I forgot to put that they were talking about Sheed]. I used to think they were joking but not anymore.....

On a side note, I never realized they got Josh Smith with our pick. Not such a bad deal for them after all.

Just imagine what would happen if 50% of our team could play well on the same night.

Just came back to see we lost a 10 point lead. Brilliant!

Damn...rookie mistake by AA. Should have given it up on the break.

Stuck comes back with a much needed hoop.

New career high for Stuckey is in the making. I hope he stays in for the stretch run and wins it for us. He's doing better than Chauncey tonight anyway, and it would be GREAT experience for him.

T on Shee

My guess is that Sheed will NOT be finishing this one.

Terrible decision by Rip to force that 1 on 3.

I think Chauncey heard me when I said Stuckey should stay in for the stretch run. He's making me look bad, but I'll take it. :)

well we eeked out the win. that's all that really matters. sheed was playing like he actually cared early on. wish we could power him up when we needed him because he's an absolute beast when motivated.

would have liked to see stuck and AJ get a few more minutes but it's nice to see them out there, regardless.

damn celtics keep winning though so we're not making up any ground. then again, we're probably better off as the #2 seed so we don't have homecourt against them. we do better without it!

AJ: 6 pts, 4 rbds in 6 minutes and he couldn't see the floor any more than that? Come on.

We did win, however, and credit must be given for that.

LOL @ the Hawks.

That win felt good.

didnt see the game, but stuckey looks like he had another nice night.

i think he's still feeling it out. i honestly believe he will be TAKING minutes in the very near future (either by playoffs or early next season).

Our pick got them Josh Smith? I thought he was an early to mid-1st round pick. Wouldn't our pick have been at the end of the round?

The Hawks feed graphic said so at least, said he was the 16th pick. I'm pretty sure the pick we sent them came via elsewhere.

(edit, I looked it up and it was 17th overall and came via Denver via Milwaukee -- from Rodney White I think...)

Zekyl

Ok, that makes a whole lot more sense. I was wondering how our pick got so damned high.

Man, I love me some Josh Smith.

Enough that you'd rather have him than Sheed?

^ Shut up Bryan. Stop trying to start shit.

02-13-2008, 10:20 AM
No shit starting intended. My apologies, Mr. Malone.

Yeah. Mr. Malone. That's right!

Wouldn't want to get floored by an "accidental" elbow would ya?

I'd take him over Dice and Tayshaun.

Timone
02-13-2008, 11:00 AM
^ He wasn't asking if you'd take him over Dice/Tayshaun.

But that's just Zekyl trying to start shit.

Zekyl
02-13-2008, 12:22 PM
I haven't seen him play much, I'd have to watch some highlights before saying I'd take him over Dice or Tayshaun. I probably would though, based on what I've heard.

Timone
02-13-2008, 12:23 PM
Josh Smith over Dice is a no brainer.

I'm not sure if Smith is as good an individual defender as Tayshaun is, so that's the one you really need to ponder. I know Josh is a terrific help defender.

Cross
02-13-2008, 06:52 PM
Josh is stronger, much more athletic, a much better rebounder and blocker and most importantly, he can take it to the hole. Not that great at shooting but then again he doesnt really need to if he can 360 windmill that shit everytime he has the lane.

id do tay for josh smith

Timone
02-13-2008, 06:55 PM
Cross, it'd be a good thing to get a guy who can't shoot a jumper and relies on his ability to get to the rim.

Thank goodness we have that kind of player in Stuckey, the best thing since The Mailman.

Zekyl
02-13-2008, 06:58 PM
He has the athleticism to be a great defender too.
