Tough test on the road this week for the Spartans. Gotta win both to hope for a shot at the Big Ten Title. Purdue is a tough venue where MSU got throttled last year. Also tickets are near impossible to get (I tried 483 different times).

MSU is such a flawed team, I can't believe Valenti said they were a Final Four team last week, Drew Nietzel has played like complete trash so far this season, Marquise Gray may be the most inconsistent player in the NCAA, and they aren't getting enough from Summers & Chris Allen...

Given the talent they have, Izzo is really doing a poor job getting his players to respond.

Let's see where MSU went wrong in this game:

1- We are not very good defensively, ESPECIALLY on the perimeter.

2- Walton is a liability on offense. He cannot hit the ocean from a row boat in the pacific.

3- Suton is completely lost on defense. I could tell 5-10 seconds before it happened when he was going to get burned by Hummel. People at the bar thought I was psychic.

4- 0 interior offense. Add that to 0 offense from the outside and its pretty evident that things are not going well.

5- Gotta love the intensity coming out in the second half but where was that the first 15 minutes of the game? Neitzel, Naymick, Walton, Suton, Morgan have all been here before. They shouldn't act likt its there first time in a hostile enviornment.

6- Just like the Pistons, they need to adjust to how the game is called. Izzo needs to realize that this isn't the year 2000 and what worked back then may not be working now. Games are not called the same way.

7- Big Ten refs are unbelievable. I mean do they even know what they are supposed to be doing out there?

I guess its easy to sit here and critique the team and bash them and what not but seriously, this was supposed to be a golden year for MSU. They are dropping a golden deuce on what could have been something special.
