you can argue the fact that he takes less shots, and obviously more smarter 3 pointers, but isn't that what makes you such a good 3pt shooter? you can certainly argue that hitting a 3 ,double teamed 30 feet away, makes you a good 3pt shooter, but hamilton has established to be a threat from downtown, especially from the corner. If the score was 95-93 with a minute left and youre up, who do you trust more taking the 3? this isnt necessarily whos more clutch but who can you rely on to take the 3pointer for a dagger or to spark a run? sheed billups tay rip or even Jarvis?

Not sure. If he's WIDE OPEN, Tay is a great three point shooter but he struggles when somebody is in his face. Sheed, Jarvis, and Billups are all streaky shooters. If they are on, they can be deadly. Rip is just solid all around so if I had to pick, I would say Rip overall.

If the game is on the line, Rasheed won't hit it so I don't think he's relevant.

I did read. The game's potentially on the line either way. goddamn it.

I don't trust Rasheed taking 3s whether we're up 2 with a minute left or down 2.

i cant even bold properly so fuck me

not clutch but just best. for me, id say richard has slowly developed a great, consistent 3point shot thus far in a Pistons uniform. Billups when he's hot is pretty hard to stop, but rip has the consistency, so ill stick with that

Well, when you're talking up 2 and who you trust the most, clutch is also a factor. I don't trust Rasheed. So I'd say Billups or Rip, slight advantage to Billups.

If Rip doesn't embarass himself at the 3 pt contest like Billups did, I may have to look at it again.

k fine tim. Let's say we were to start a fucking run and wanted to put our rookies in for the rest of the game. who you got? It all depends on the situation too but still. if we were to run a pick and roll and have sheed roll to the 3pt line while billups penetrates and kicks, put up an extra 3 for the pistons. a wide open rip in the corner? put up another 3 on the scoreboard.

Billups is our best clutch shooter. He's earned the reputation from everyone in this league. Maybe we should use that to our advantage and get him doubled and let him kick it to rip?

billups is the best under pressure 3pt shooter in the league!!!!!!get someone running at him with 3 seconds left on the clock, and billups would get all 30 points.

Where in the fuck did my post go?

I'll just repost it.

As we saw in Game 5 vs. SA, even when you're up 95-93 the game is on the line. You can just leave someone wide open so they can fucking hit a 3.

my goodness, i can't even believe there's a discussion. yes, credit to rip for extending his range and becoming a high percentage shooter. but billups is twice the deep shooter that rip is.

rip struggles to get lift on his shot, especially deep ones that aren't from the shortest distance from 3. he's not a good 3 shooter from the top or mid-arc. yes, he's much improved and good for him.

but chauncey is simply a much better shooter- he's got a lot more range and an easier stroke, whereas rip has to get a lot into his shot for it to even have a chance.

If Jarvis Hayes were ever to be part of this contest, he would either A) Win the damn thing or B) Make two out of twenty-four attempts....

theres no inbetween...

Timone

B would be better than how Billups faired, lol.

If I had to put money on the 3pt contest, I'd bet on Kapono. Guy's a beast from 3pt land.

Kapono is pretty sick. I should've known he was in it, as he's the defending champ. But it's gotta come down to Kobe and Rip. Both have been talking smack with one another about winning the thing.

I'd laugh if they both got bumped in round 1.
