btw, correct me if im wrong, but it appears penny pincher's net worth went up about 30% this year (~a billion dollars). good for him.

my favorite is the wins to player cost ratio.
peaked in 2004, and has steadily decreased since.
perhaps there is a correlation between success and spending. i realize its kind of a reach, but worth a thought.

I think the spending has stayed the same or even gone up with the tax threshhold, it's just the number of wins that have gone down (playoff wins count double).
