Hypothetically speaking - if the Fords finally pulled the plug on this thing, who would the best candidate be to replace him?

With players and coaches there is a lot more buzz about good candidates, but I have no clue who would make a good GM.

I think someone with coaching experience would be far better than someone with just playing experience and commentary, like Millen was.

I would want someone that had negotiation skills and was capable of a strong sales pitch.

If it was a former coach, I wouldn't want someone that would ever pull the whole "I'm firing the coach and taking over" routine.

So, I'm looking for people in-the-know that could throw out some names and bios for me.

I'd like to see 2 peeps replace him till we get our shit together.

I'd like to see a football guy as Prez...a Gibbs type who brings in a younger GM.

No names though.

What about that Wolf character that used to be with Green Bay? I remember hearing his name tossed around a lot in the last offseason.

I'll name a name...Jimmy Johnson for prez so he can have the time he needs to go boating and doesn't have to spend too much time in Detroit. Then let him bring in some hardass for GM.

I'm sure Cowher would love to come here.

Actually sounds like a good idea. We couldn't attract a good GM, but Johnson could.

If Millen were ever to be relieved of his job duties, I would like to see the Lions try and "poach" somebody from New Englands front office...
