Just bought an x box 360 and halo 3. I have about 30 games under my belt and was wondering if you guys had any advice or strategy for getting better or any tactics you use in the game.

Don't have Halo 3, and never played it. Have Halo 2 and play it live occaisionally. My best advice on that is aim for the head. Even if you miss more (which you will), it's worth it. Most decent players will soak up torso shots and hide/recharge shields before you can kill them. A couple shots to the head doesn't give them time to hide/jump/kill you. Even if you are just playing campaign mode, practice going for the head. Also, melee attacks are a must in online play, and I use them in campaigns often too, especially when you reload (btw constantly reloading when you are prone is a must). Remember, that is Halo 2 advice, but I image the tactics don't change much.
