What's causing the increased death rate among babies in the United States?
While the health of infants in many countries is improving, babies born in the United States now face an increased risk of dying in the first year of life.
The U.S. infant mortality rate is on the rise for the first time since 1958, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2001, the infant mortality rate was 6.8 deaths per 1,000 live births -- in 2002, the rate rose to 7.0. (2003 data is not yet complete.)
At the same time, other countries are improving their infant mortality rates to the point that they have surpassed the United States.
Notice the correlation between infant mortality and Jason Maxiell?
Ever since he has been playing basketball on a stage large enough to require the power of pure infant juice, the mortality rate has been on the rise.
This is a national crisis, and I don't think there is anything that humanity can do to stop this force. It's possible Godzilla was an allegory for the legend we are witnessing. Art imitating life, a prophetic warning of what Jason Maxiell will become if he is ever allowed to start.
Thankfully, our faithful hero Flip Super Saunders, will bury him behind 1 dimensional old power forwards with bad knees and no energy.
I am concerned though, what if the power of infants no longer sustains the beast?
What if he requires the blood, and yes, THE SOULS of adults.
Every man woman and child on this planet would be at risk.
We are willing to give up our first born, just like the Egyptians , or the modern example of club tramps.
But are we ready to face this beast if it hungers for more? Can even Flip Saunders stand in it's way!
I'm scared, scared for humanity, scared for my family.
Scared for the NBA.
