View Full Version : Scientology Freedom Award Winner Fool 01-16-2008, 08:21 AM http://gawker.com/5002269/the-cruise-indoctrination-video-scientology-tried-to-suppress MoTown 01-16-2008, 08:37 AM Nothing this guy does surprises me anymore. He and all his little cult friends are all nut-jobs. Rumor has it that his kid isn't even his - it's Elron Hubbard's frozen sperm. I heard that and started laughing, but then I thought to myself - "Would I really be that surprised?" No. On sadder news, Will Smith is starting to become a Scientologist. It's been nice knowing you, Will. I enjoyed your movies up until this point. Zekyl 01-16-2008, 09:53 AM Last I heard, Jerry Seinfeld was one. MoTown 01-16-2008, 09:59 AM According to Wikipedia he's not. He "took a few courses a number of years ago." Big Swami 01-18-2008, 07:04 AM I pretty much wrote off Beck as soon as he became a Scientologist. I'll continue to enjoy his albums up to 2006. Sea Change and Guero were fantastic. Same with Jason Lee, Mimi Rogers, Jenna Elfman, Isaac Hayes, Chick Corea, etc. Cruise is a joke and he's a shining example of how Scientology has nothing to offer people to make them mentally healthier. Isn't it funny how Scientologists co-opt words like "freedom" and bastardize them almost to the point that they mean the exact opposite of what everyone else means when they say it? BTW this whole "KSW" thing that Cruise is talking about in the video is "Keep Scientology Working." It was a policy handed down from the Church that everyone has to agree to every time they take a Scientology course. Basically, it says that if you're taking a course you're a Scientologist, and you're either going to take it as far as you can go, spend all your money, and fight the evil anti-Scientology forces with all of your might, or you're one of the bad guys and you should prepare to be dominated by Scientologists when the shit goes down. Timone 01-18-2008, 07:16 AM Beck? I read he was a Satanist... Must've just been a rumor then. Uncle Mxy 01-18-2008, 10:33 PM I pretty much wrote off Beck as soon as he became a Scientologist. I'll continue to enjoy his albums up to 2006. Beck's been a Scientologist all along. Zip Goshboots 01-19-2008, 07:36 AM With all that money and fame, the LAST fucking thing I would want to be doing is going to church. Fuck that. You have all the fun in the world, and then on your deathbed have the pope come over and hand him a check. BAM you're forgiven (it's in the bible. Not the check part, just saying "Aw shit. I'm sorreeee)". Timone 01-19-2008, 07:46 AM Zip's right. And take it from me, being #1 on WTF's posting list and all. Uncle Mxy 01-19-2008, 08:52 AM I will say, though, Scientology does attract a lot of hotties. I keep waiting for a girlie magazine that isn't chickenshit to do a "Babes Of Scientology" layout. Zip Goshboots 01-19-2008, 09:28 AM And the first movie: Scientologist Ass Ramming Babes (They don't need to lube it up, they're Scientologists). Zip Goshboots 01-19-2008, 09:31 AM Here's some good Scientology porn names: Tom "Cruise" Missile John Trannyvolta L Ron Hubbhardon That's all I can think of. Dumb idea. Glenn 01-19-2008, 09:33 AM And the first movie: Scientologist Ass Ramming Babes (They don't need to lube it up, they're Scientologists). When you're a Scientologist, and you get rammed in the ass, you know you have to do something about it, because you know you're the only one who can really help. Uncle Mxy 01-19-2008, 03:16 PM http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1579963/20080118/index.jhtml b-diddy 01-19-2008, 03:27 PM i cant wait til i can read about SP's in history books. geerussell 01-21-2008, 02:10 AM I wouldn't pick on scientology exclusively. Most of their tenets are no less absurd and their methods of operation little different than those of "real" religion. Big Swami 01-21-2008, 09:53 AM G, the problem with Scientology in particular is that they suffer from all of the least palletable characteristics of every other religion. They evangelize under the thin disguise of charity, they relentlessly promote their famous members, they insist that members disengage from their non-member families, they extract enormous sums from their members, they hide their highest teachings, etc. DE 01-21-2008, 02:12 PM I normally consider this personal and I'm going to try to be very vague in some ways to avoid anyone ever knowing who I talk about; but I had a very close family member almost taken in by Scientology. He/She went to Vegas for a trade convention and ended up at a "life and money management" seminar (or something very similar). He/She got back to Detroit and told his/her spouse that they would be having a life trainer (I don't remember the exact title) coming to their house to live and within a week had already given gobs of money to Scientology. I don't come from a very rich family but there is family money and some members of the family, this one included, have big access to it. My family had to scramble like mad to make sure they didn't get to it too, and were actually very lucky that that money hadn't been "donated" as well. After that, a few of the family went to a cult expert. The first thing he told them (I wasn't there, but my parents were and this is what they told me) was that Scientology was one of the worst. Basically we got a bit lucky when the family member started to realize that he/she was ruining a lot of peoples lives with what was going down (and a lot of shit went down) and the family was able to after a very tense time, get things more or less back to normal. It was a horrible time for everyone involved and I, obviously harbor, absolute hatred for Scientology. We only see the fun (EDIT: Funny) and stupid side of it mostly, Tom Cruise acting like a moron or John Travolta making shitty movies; but Scientology is downright evil and destroys lives. Here in Spain they have cult status (meaning that they are a cult and not a religion and do not receive privileges as such), and I couldn't be happier about that. Wizzle 01-21-2008, 04:49 PM Beck? I read he was a Satanist... Must've just been a rumor then. nope, he just has a devil's haircut and that's all I have time for today Uncle Mxy 01-21-2008, 10:39 PM I worked for/with a Scientologist at one point. He never proselytized on that point, and things were friendly. He ended up working for a company run by a famous non-actor Scientologist, or else I might still be working with him. I was propositioned by Scientologists in Royal Joke once. This cute girl walks up to a buddy and me and says "Would you like to see a free movie? It starts in 5 minutes." We almost nipped at the bait until I noticed it was Scientology. I spent some time in Scientology central, in Clearwater FL, and was scared by the level of influence they have. I thought the shrine(s) to Scientology in the LA area were bad, but Clearwater has 'em beat. Fool 01-22-2008, 08:38 AM nope, he just has a devil's haircut and that's all I have time for today It's just in his mind. Satan is Cake's motor.
