Yikes. I'll be in AA Saturday for the UM-Iowa game, which I thought was winnable for UM. I guess we'll have to see. I'm not excited for a defensive struggle.

no worries about that, UM doesn't play any defense.

If Iowa can hold MSU to 36, they just might shut Michigan out.

I actually read the first paragraph of the story a couple of times to make sure it was MSU's mens basketball. I agree WTF?

Definitely.

I'm just hoping this is like Wright State in 2000, gets us motivated for every game, even the crappy ones. But wow, that was crap.

I watched the game - it was terrible. MSU's offense was non-existant. I think Izzo is a great team coach, but a lot of times I don't think he uses his players to the best of their abilities offensively. They were on nearly a 10-minute scoring drought, and that's when they should have started running some plays for Neitzel or Morgan, but it was still that stale "team first" offense.

Like I said, I think Izzo is one of the top 5 coaches in the nation, but I've always thought he needed to use his players on offense a little differently. I've been saying that since the Cleaves/Peterson era.

Hey, here's a stat for ya: The Izzo is 3-14 in his last 17 Big Ten road games.
hmmmmmmmm

Last 2 years - not very good Izzo teams, and winning on the road in the B10 is hard as hell.

My name is not Tre.

Izzo fucked up.

(fingers crossed Wright State 2000 effect nonetheless)

Seriously, this is sad. I can't believe I'm saying we need more Spartans.

After the loaf of turd they put on the court in Iowa, they're sticking it to O$U right now. They will likely match or surpass this weekend's 36 before halftime. Currently with 3+ minutes left in the first half they're leading 32-11.

Well, they won by 6. Let off a little from the 21 point 1st half lead, but a win nonetheless.
Good bounce back for the Sparties.

You guys have to remember: Tre has them going to the Final Four this year, next year, and beyond!
You want Sparties? Only about one tenth of one percent of the Sparties are worth a shit. I'll say DSC is one of them, and probably all the Sparties on this board are. But the rest, not worth a fuck. Total jagoffs.

Zip, I used to have Bukdow level hate for you, but your cool in your own way.

And damn straight Izzo got the team back on track. I think the first half was almost to get back at Izzo for being so pissed at them. Second half they eased off way too much. But we got the win, and that's all that counts.
