I thought that while this is HS Recruiting, for the most part, that the analysis and discussion could be strong enough to warrant its own thread.

Two games today that I'm aware of.

Army All-American game from San Antonio on NBC @ 1:00

ESPNU/Under Armour All-American game from Orlando on ABC @ 2:00

Boo Boo, McGuffie, N Perry, B Smith and Pryor at the Army game. Smith will announce. Looking for scouting reports on him and the others. Jonas Gray also in that game, fwiw.

Dann ONeill, Stonum, C Wilson and others in the other game. No expected announcements that I'm aware of.

Sadly I'll be on the road heading from Saginaw to K-Zoo at 2:15 so I'll miss most of both games, but I would love to come to this thread and get some detailed reports of how these players perform and any announcements made.

I've heard it's almost certain that Brandon Smith will choose Michigan today.

You never know though.

I have no clue who any of these guys are, except for McGuffie and now Pryor...

Maybe I should watch?

Brandon Smith - 4 star S from NJ, UM is among his favorites.

Boo Boo is Cissoko form Det Cass Tech, UM commit, undersized CB.

Nick Perry from Det MLK, 4 star DE considering UM, USC, others

As has been stated, Smith will announce his school of choice during the game today, along with several other players. Speculation is good that he will pull a UM hat out of the bag.

Perry won't be announcing his decision today, but he's the top player in the state who hasn't already announced. UM is making a push for him, but so are several others. Many speculate USC will win this battle, though UM still a possibility.

In his video he called out 5* Will Hill for going to the ESPN game. He wanted Hill there so they could determine the best NJ safety this year.

To me, based on the things I've read, it seems as if Nicholas Perry and the odds of him being a Spartan have become very slim...

I fully expect Perry to be at UM.

Hearing Will Campbell is the best DT at the Jr. Combine and Teric Jones ran a 4.37 on a slow track. Most everyone ran a 4.6 or so. He is blistering fast. He goes to Cass Tech too. Cass Tech becoming a solid school for players.

BooBoo basically said Smith was coming to UM and BooBoo had a strong feeling Pryor was coming too.

Who is Keanon Cooper, I've been hearing his name for the last 2 days, is he considering UM?

Shocked if Perry isn't a Trojan or Wolverine when all is said and done. State has really become the forgotten candidate. Instate, all the attention is on UM winning a bowl game and Rodriguez, along with the chances at getting Pryor. Out of state, USC is getting a ton of attention after blowing out Illinois. They are the hottest schools in the country right now, IMO.

Keanan Cooper is another safety. He's from Texas. Started the year as a 3 star but has come on strong recently and won the skills competition, I believe, at the Army game.

Ok, Pryor looked legit on the opening drive. On consecutive plays, the pocket broke down and he put nice touch on a dump pass that went for 50 some yards because many of the defenders were drawn up to Pryor. Next play, he fakes and keeps, juking in for the TD.

Well, next year, I'll be a Wolverine, baby!

Boo Boo with a 4 yard tackle for loss, then a near pick on the next play. This game is looking like a future Wolverine showcase in the early going. Loving it!

Probably not until signing day.

gotta get TP. they said he wore a UM sweatshirt to the game, but supposedly has a buckeye decal in his helmet. hopefully place by a teammate. this kid looks ridiculous out there. hes got that exact same 'hard to hit' quality vince young has. plus has shown a real nice arm a few times.

Yeah, ppl on GBW are making a big deal of the whole decal thing, I think he's just having fun. He hasn't even visited UM yet, and I think RichRod is going to go after him like a mad man since it's obvious Ryan doesn't want to be here...
