View Full Version : Playoffs (?!)
Timone 01-02-2008, 09:34 AM Well, this could easily be in the OGT: other games thread, but for some reason I just think the playoffs are a little too significant to not have its own thread.
I'm going with Seattle, Jacksonville, NY, and SD in the Wild Card round.
I really hope Washington don't beat Seattle, they are soooo friggin' boring.
Big Swami 01-02-2008, 09:38 AM Playoffs?! Don't talk to me about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs?
Glenn 01-02-2008, 09:38 AM Holy crap!
WTFchris 01-02-2008, 09:52 AM Well, this could easily be in the OGT: other games thread, but for some reason I just think the playoffs are a little too significant to not have its own thread.
I'm going with Seattle, Jacksonville, NY, and SD in the Wild Card round.
I really hope Washington don't beat Seattle, they are soooo friggin' boring.
I'm picking the Skins, Jags, Giants and Chargers.
Timone 01-02-2008, 09:55 AM I'd like to see a Superbowl that doesn't bore the shit out of me this year.
Packers-Pats is what I'm thinkin'.
Hell, I wouldn't mind Packers-Colts either.
I like typing like this.
Zekyl 01-02-2008, 10:04 AM You know, at least those games would be entertaining. I really wouldn't mind seeing the Packers win it all and Favre retiring on top. Unfortunately, if they win it all he'd probably think he still had a lot left in the tank and he'd want to come back and try to do it again (please, don't!)
Timone 01-02-2008, 03:02 PM The Redskins and Buccs put on the worst football game I ever saw in the '05 Wild Card Round, so I want them both to lose.
Wilfredo Ledezma 01-03-2008, 02:09 PM Well, this could easily be in the OGT: other games thread, but for some reason I just think the playoffs are a little too significant to not have its own thread.
I'm going with Seattle, Jacksonville, NY, and SD in the Wild Card round.
I really hope Washington don't beat Seattle, they are soooo friggin' boring.
I'm going with the Redskins over Seahawks, and Buccaneers over Giants in the NFC...
Jaguars over Steelers and Chargers over Titans in the AFC WC Round
I almost want to take the Steelers though...
Glenn 01-04-2008, 03:29 PM I'll be flipping like a mad man tomorrow night
Steelers/Jags and Pistons/Celtics on at the same time.
Timone 01-04-2008, 03:32 PM Ok, tomorrow I think the Seahawks are going to take it in OT over Washington 23-20.
I expect a damn good game between the Steelers and Jaguars. As much as I like Jacksonville's team, with the two headed running attack, and how well Garrard has played...I'm now going to go with Pittsburgh, even with all of their injuries, 14-7.
Timone 01-05-2008, 10:12 AM By the way, and not to brag or anything, the Jaguars have been my second favorite team (even BEFORE this season).
Still, I'm picking Pittsburgh in one of those "I can't explain why I picked them" picks.
Timone 01-05-2008, 07:09 PM This Redskins-Seahawks game was boring as shit until the 4th quarter.
Collins threw a TD to Randle El, the defense got a pick, Collins threw another TD to Santana Moss, and after a fuck up by Seattle on the ensuing kick off Washington have it in the redzone.
14-13 Washington.
Timone 01-05-2008, 07:11 PM I am now officially a Redskins fan for the playoffs, as the Ravens play in Maryland and so do they. :)
Timone 01-05-2008, 07:14 PM 'Skins just missed a 30 yard FG....whaaaaaaat?!
Sean Taylor was definitely NOT carrying that one.
Timone 01-05-2008, 07:31 PM Seahawks just returned an INT for a TD, it's 28-14 now...probably over.
Glenn 01-05-2008, 08:14 PM And now you are a Seahawks fan.
Timone 01-05-2008, 08:17 PM Yep. How'd you know?
Glenn 01-05-2008, 08:25 PM NAJEH PUT THAT RIGHT IN HER CLOSET
7-0, good guys
Timone 01-05-2008, 08:25 PM "good guys"?!?
You're supposed to be objective with your analysis, Glenn.
Glenn 01-05-2008, 08:26 PM Hawk Harrelson reference
Timone 01-05-2008, 08:31 PM The good guys tied it.
Timone 01-05-2008, 09:06 PM 14-7, MY JAGS ON TOP.
HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES, GLENN?!
Timone 01-05-2008, 09:17 PM 21-7 Jags.
This ain't your daddy's Jacksonville Jaguars squad.
This is MY choice to go to the AFC title game to lose to the Pats!
Timone 01-05-2008, 09:42 PM Rothlisberger with his 3rd pick.
Keep ya head up Glenn.
Timone 01-05-2008, 10:47 PM *open mouth, insert foot*
Steelers in it, plenty of time to go.
Timone 01-05-2008, 10:55 PM Wholly shit!! Steelers are IN it.
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:02 PM WOW, Steelers are about to take the lead.
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:09 PM Jags are about to have a massive collapse.
Tahoe 01-05-2008, 11:13 PM I wish the Steelers would have made the 2 so we'd have a better chance of going into OT.
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:22 PM C'mon Jags, don't choke it away!!
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:27 PM YES YES GARRARD!
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:35 PM JAGS!!
Timone 01-05-2008, 11:46 PM Sorry Glenn.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 12:23 AM That was a helluva 4th down run by the QB late in the 4th.
DennyMcLain 01-06-2008, 02:34 AM When do we begin the Official GlennDanzig Suicide Watch????
Still, it was classy to see Rothleschildcheeseburger actually "wait" until Garrand was done with his interview to shake his hand. Most players would've just cut right into the interview.
You stay classy, GlennDanzig.
http://bestuff.com/images/images_of_stuff/210x600/ron-burgundy-3717.jpg
Glenn 01-06-2008, 04:23 AM Yeah, that was disappointing, but not altogether unexpected with all the injuries.
Jax deserved to win, the Steelers just aren't good or deep enough this year.
Nice first year for Mike Tomlin, though.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 04:54 AM Cowher doesn't lose this game, imo...cuz he is a bad ass.
Timone 01-06-2008, 10:22 AM I am very impressed by the Jaguars. They didn't play their best game and were able to squeak one out, in Pittsburgh no less (against a team who rallied back and had seemingly taken the momentum).
Zekyl 01-06-2008, 11:31 AM I was at a buddy's place watching the end of the game. We had a friend sitting on the couch in a Bettis jersey and the rest of us were rooting for the jags. We gave him a hard time the rest of the night. It was great.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 01:44 PM Lions aren't playing. Must have a bye the first week of the playoffs.
Timone 01-06-2008, 01:46 PM You didn't hear? The Lions lost on their bye week.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 03:35 PM The league gave them a bye decade
Timone 01-06-2008, 03:52 PM Thus far I am 2-1 with my predictions.
Tennessee is about to get bitch slapped by San Diego, so it's a given I will be 3-1.
Timone 01-06-2008, 06:59 PM I'm the only one watching this shitty Titans-Chargers game, right?
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:01 PM I just walked in and am watching it. Is there a night game?
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:07 PM Man, these TDs that they give these guys these days. Gayle Sayers would have never tried this reachy, touchy, feely stuff. Oh well, its an evolving game.
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:08 PM I just walked in and am watching it. Is there a night game?
Nope.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:09 PM OSU LSU, Pistons, something, anything for Gods sake, put a good sporting event on for me tonight
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:10 PM OSU-LSU is tomorrow. And I'm not going to watch most of that.
I like defense, but not to the tune of a 17-14 game.
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:14 PM Looks like I'm going to go 3-1 for the Wild Card games (not that it really matters or anything, as I'm not betting with anybody or whatever).
Next week is shaping up to have some good games, assuming SD hold on to win. Seattle @ Green Bay, New York @ Dallas, Jacksonville @ NE, and San Diego @ Indy.
I'm actually looking FORWARD to watching more of the playoffs. First time I could say that in a couple years.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:14 PM Bowling Green at Tulsa tonight.
I hate BA Tressell, now I hate Miles cuz he's a jackass, I'll tune in to see one of them get beat. That'll be my enjoyment.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:15 PM Its kind of weird how that happens. Its like some years I have to watch every game, then I kind of watch a game or 2. Same thing in Baseball, Basketball.
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:20 PM I'd like to see a playoff in college, but usually EVERY YEAR the bowls top the NFL playoffs imo.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:25 PM This one is over
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:26 PM Sure is.
Next week's games are going to be really good.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:26 PM That pass made Garcia look like Jonny Unitas
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:28 PM The only QB Vince Young is better than, honestly, at this point is Vick.
Not saying much either.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:30 PM Looks like I'm going to go 3-1 for the Wild Card games (not that it really matters or anything, as I'm not betting with anybody or whatever).
My first impression is that...
Seattle will end Farves run and the SS players will be yelling..."You aint seen nothin yet" as they run off the field.
Tough game but Dallas is at home. Dallas.
NE was running out of gas at the end of the year, imo. This is not a gimme.
Indy beats the Bolts
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:32 PM The line on that NE game will be interesting
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:32 PM Jacksonville could probably pose a bigger threat to NE than everyone thought Pittsburgh would earlier this season.
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:36 PM I watched the Redskins-Seahawks game and I gotta say: Seattle is a sleeper. I think their pass rush is pretty sick.Kearney and little brother (Julian Peterson) were getting to big brother (Collins) all game.
But GB have Favre, man. Favre.
Timone 01-06-2008, 07:39 PM Ditka and Merrill Hodge are talking about San Diego vs. NE already, ignoring the fact the Chargers have to go to Indy next week.
I still like Indy's chances the best against NE.
Tahoe 01-06-2008, 07:42 PM Farve played all season, but he ain't seen nothin yet. Wait till next week.
Zekyl 01-06-2008, 08:47 PM Jacksonville could probably pose a bigger threat to NE than everyone thought Pittsburgh would earlier this season.
Especially if NE takes them for granted and just assumes an easy win.
Timone 01-06-2008, 08:50 PM Especially since they've shown they can get the big wins on the road and in the bad weather.
I don't think they have enough to beat the Gaytriots though.
Sure as hell won't be a blowout.
Zekyl 01-06-2008, 09:01 PM The only way the Jags win is if NE overlooks them and comes out unprepared. I don't think it will happen, but its the only way.
Glenn 01-07-2008, 05:40 AM My Patriots will handle the Jags, easily.
Brady wears Wrangler and Stetson.
Zekyl 01-07-2008, 09:49 AM But do you know what he apparently doesn't wear?
Condoms
Zekyl 01-07-2008, 11:21 AM Probably doesn't wear those either. Refer to the white text.
Tahoe 01-07-2008, 11:22 AM lol Zek.
Glenn 01-07-2008, 12:27 PM http://celebsnow.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/101307-brady-stetson.jpg
Timone 01-07-2008, 12:35 PM Thread killer.
Tom ain't that cute anyway, he's got a butt chin.
Glenn 01-07-2008, 12:56 PM Stetson nullifies butt chins.
Zekyl 01-08-2008, 02:50 PM I was going to edit that picture to have him saying "When doing supermodels, wrap your tool, don't be a fool", but I'm too lazy and I have to go to class in a few minutes.
Timone 01-10-2008, 08:38 PM Some dude who works for Scouts (I think) went on ESPN and picked the Jaguars to beat the Patriots.
As much as I like Garrard and Jacksonville as a team...um, no.
Glenn 01-10-2008, 08:46 PM Jeremy Green, and he's obviously just trying to make a name for himself.
Timone 01-11-2008, 06:41 PM Marcellus Wiley has come out and said the Jags will beat the Pats.
WHAT DOES MARCELLUS WILEY LOOK LIKE?
WTFchris 01-11-2008, 09:00 PM Does he look like a bitch?
Timone 01-11-2008, 09:02 PM Green Bay over Seattle (I'd be rooting against America if I don't pick Favre)
New England over Jacksonville
Colts over Chargers
Cowboys over Giants
Tahoe 01-12-2008, 10:25 PM I like this Gerrard QB. Does he have good fantasy numbers?
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 03:19 PM Rivers is making a believer out of me. San Diego is making a believer out of me too.
b-diddy 01-13-2008, 04:18 PM this should have been rivers coming out party and he decides to make himself the clown by jawing at the fans all game. if belichik didnt already have his game plan to be fuck with rivers mentally, it will be now. what a dumbass.
Timone 01-13-2008, 04:21 PM Crap.
There goes the best chance for NE to lose.
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 04:41 PM I think we have a good chance the rest of the way. SD will be no easy game. 'we'
MoTown 01-13-2008, 04:44 PM Rivers is an idiot. I agree with you, b-diddy. His image is awful, and anyone that says image isn't important in professional sports is retarded. He looks like an immature pre-pubescent boy.
That said, I love San Diego and I would like to see them win. Heal up quick Gates, Tomlinson, and little-boy-Rivers.
MoTown 01-13-2008, 04:44 PM I think we have a good chance the rest of the way. SD will be no easy game. 'we'
Love it.
Timone 01-13-2008, 04:47 PM Rivers is a douche. I really like SD's team overall though.
Go Packers!
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 07:34 PM Dallas has some work to do if they're going to pull this out.
Timone 01-13-2008, 07:48 PM UxKa is now glad he didn't get that Tony Romo jersey.
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 08:17 PM I'd like to post my thoughts on the game but not right now. Watching Tony Romo's presser has me a lil verclept right now.
If I heard him right he just said..."I might go to Vegas and go drink for a couple of days. You know, just get away from people"
Hellooooooooooooooo, dumbass...Vegas is NOT where you go to get away from people.
Timone 01-13-2008, 08:19 PM Being a Romosexual is a sin.
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 08:24 PM Please don't tell me that Rivers is a bigger douche than Romo. I don't know anything about Rivers but Romo is the biggest douche to come along in the NFL in a long long time.
Romo and that chick announcer from NY, tied in doucheness, imo.
Timone 01-13-2008, 08:28 PM Rivers is a way bigger asshole than Romo is.
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 08:35 PM I don't know jack about him, cept that he was hurt forever or something. And he was in that QB controversy for a while.
I'll take your word for it. That fuckin Rivers is a jerk.
Timone 01-13-2008, 08:39 PM But you know who isn't an asshole/douche?
http://www.squibkick.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/brett-favre-mouth-open.bmp
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 08:44 PM But you know who isn't an asshole/douche?
Brian Billick?
Timone 01-13-2008, 08:45 PM Favre, man.
Tahoe 01-13-2008, 08:46 PM Do you like Brain Billick?
Timone 01-13-2008, 08:47 PM Brian Balllick? Yeah.
Now that he's not coaching.
pwnt
Also, Brian is one of the most arrogant sons of bitches I've ever met...even though I never technically met him.
Zekyl 01-13-2008, 11:24 PM But you know who isn't an asshole/douche?
I'm going to go ahead and guess that lovely man that coaches the Patriots. He just seems so happy and kind-hearted.
Timone 01-13-2008, 11:31 PM DID THE PIC OF BRETT FAVRE NOT SHOW UP?
Tahoe 01-14-2008, 12:23 AM Not for me
Timone 01-14-2008, 03:36 AM Strahan: "I hope T.O. got his popcorn ready. Maybe he and Crayton can eat it in his movie theater when they watch next week." (or something like that)
PWNT!!!
Glenn 01-14-2008, 10:04 AM UxKa is now glad he didn't get that Tony Romo jersey.
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/2025/romoclearancefd7.jpg
Zekyl 01-14-2008, 10:06 AM They're Romocycling to save the Dallas environment.
Timone 01-15-2008, 05:30 PM Igor Olshansky, fellow Ukie, has come out and talked trash about the Pats.
Great, now you guys are going to lose 52-14.
Timone 01-15-2008, 05:48 PM Hearing Plaschke on ATH say that Favre could be the one to "take down Tom Brady" and end the Patriots dynasty got me SO pumped!
Zekyl 01-15-2008, 11:51 PM Every time a national television talking head praises favre, his stubble intensifies. I think that's what fuels his rocketarm.
MoTown 01-16-2008, 01:28 PM Hearing Plaschke on ATH say that Favre could be the one to "take down Tom Brady" and end the Patriots dynasty got me SO pumped!
Tom Brady is overrated anyway. He's not even the highest rated passer on his own team!*
*minimum one pass attempt.
Timone 01-16-2008, 03:04 PM Fucking ESPN is blowing up these comments by Igor Olshansky.
Seriously, it's not a big deal.
Per the usual for ESPN though.
Glenn 01-17-2008, 08:13 AM Norv Turner is really pumped up for this weekend.
http://electricityandlust.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/al-gore.jpg
Zekyl 01-17-2008, 08:30 AM For some reason, when I look at that picture of Norv, I feel as though I should be working to help the environment. I'm not sure why.
MoTown 01-17-2008, 11:14 AM http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/0116/nfl_cold_weather_412.jpg
Betting against Farve is like raping blind women. It's just wrong.
Timone 01-17-2008, 07:09 PM For some reason, when I look at that picture of Norv, I feel as though I should be working to help the environment. I'm not sure why.
You can help the environment by denouncing your not so tenuous connection to the shithole that is Cleveland.
Zekyl 01-18-2008, 01:49 AM I'll gladly denounce my non-existant connection, just for you Karl.
Timone 01-18-2008, 05:59 PM I hate it when ESPN has Breaking News and come to find out, the news isn't big at all.
However, they just reported that Rivers will not play vs. NE probably.
SD, you're REALLY fucked now.
Glenn 01-18-2008, 06:01 PM Partially torn ACL, along with a strained MCL.
Timone 01-18-2008, 06:03 PM Sorry Glenn, but if SD can somehow win in Indy and then in NE with Billy Volek leading the way, it is WAY more impressive than your Steelers in '05.
Glenn 01-18-2008, 06:06 PM I'll be pulling for my Chargers to pull it out over my Patriots.
And vice versa.
I think both teams will be extremely focused on winning.
Jethro34 01-18-2008, 06:22 PM http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/0116/nfl_cold_weather_412.jpg
Betting against Farve is like raping blind women. It's just wrong.
So I should change my target audience to deaf mutes without hands?
MoTown 01-18-2008, 09:29 PM That's generally the most acceptable target, imho.
Timone 01-19-2008, 07:24 AM Four football fans--
a Colts fan, a Seahawks fan, a Chargers
fan, and a Patriots fan--
are climbing a mountain and arguing
about who loves his team more.
The Indianapolis fan insists he is the most loyal. 'This is
for the Colts!' he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain.
Not to be outdone, the Seattle fan shouts, 'This is for the
Seahawks!' and throws himself off the mountain.
The San Diego fan is next to profess his love for his team.
He yells, 'This is for everyone!' and pushes the Patriot fan off the
mountain.
Glenn 01-19-2008, 08:06 AM Then Brett Favre decends from the heavens and throws him off, too.
Timone 01-20-2008, 08:07 AM My predictions:
SD: 17
NE: 41
NYG: 12
GB: 20
Glenn 01-20-2008, 08:15 AM Brady vs. Favre would be utterly orgasmic.
Timone 01-20-2008, 08:22 AM Oh it will be.
The Favre part that is.
MoTown 01-20-2008, 08:26 AM Here is the weather forcast for Green Bay today:
Currently: -13F
Feels like: -32F
Game:
Mostly Sunny.
High: 5F
Low: -6F
Partly cloudy. Dangerous wind chills may approach -30F. High near 5F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph.
Fuck that. Have fun watching that game, Green Bay Fan. I bet you the Packers almost wish Dallas had won.
Timone 01-20-2008, 08:35 AM Fuck that. Have fun watching that game, Green Bay Fan.
I will!
GO PACKERS
Timone 01-20-2008, 11:01 AM I am so sick of Chris Berman. Every time the fucking guy talks...
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 12:44 PM Unfortunately I think GB will win today and the injuries will catch up with SD.
Timone 01-20-2008, 12:48 PM ^ GB winning is unfortunate?
HOW??
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 12:51 PM Cuz Bret Favre is a communist.
Timone 01-20-2008, 12:52 PM No, YOU are for not liking Favruh/America.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 12:55 PM Favruh is soooooo passe'.
Ring Ring...who is it? The 90's calling.
Timone 01-20-2008, 12:56 PM Ring ring...your Lions suck.
Favre is timeless.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 12:58 PM I'm a Pats fan, 2nd team in the AFC is SD. I like the NY Giants too and sometimes pull for GB cuz they're in our division.

I'm not questioning your fanhood, man. I KNOW you're dedicated.
I just think any negative comments about Favre are out of line. Hell, even GLENN agrees with me. And he's an arrogant SOB.
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:23 PM Liking what I see out of the SD defense.
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:31 PM Brady throws a pick!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 03:41 PM Brady throws a pick!
Thats weird. I mean for a guy from UofM to throw a pick.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 03:44 PM CBS seems to be more shameless in their self promotion than other networks, but thats OT, and I DON'T DERAIL THREADS.
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:47 PM Thats weird. I mean for a guy from UofM to throw a pick.
He's not a true Michigan man.
NE's about to score here. Rivers is too hobbled to do anything, so the Pats are about to open it up me thinks.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 03:51 PM Fuck these games are so hard for me to watch with all the commercials.
XBL>NFL
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:53 PM Tahoe, did you know you're #5 now?
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:55 PM NE's about to score here. Rivers is too hobbled to do anything, so the Pats are about to open it up me thinks.
Wrong.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 03:58 PM Tahoe, did you know you're #5 now?
#5 what? Sorry, I'm friggin hung over as hell. My brain isn't awake yet.
Timone 01-20-2008, 03:59 PM #5 all time!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:00 PM ALL TIME WHAT?
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:01 PM If SD was healthy, this could have been the end of NE.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:01 PM You're like 34 behind Codename V.
You should get it now.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:05 PM Ya ya ya ya ya... I gotcha now.
So you are saying I'm in WTF's 5. I am both humbled and honored.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:06 PM omfg pats are about to punt for the third time
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:07 PM They're going to hang around and win it at the end.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:09 PM I think we need a "Philip Rivers...Courageous" thread going.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:09 PM Get a long drive going and a 2 pt lead at least going into half...
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:10 PM This is a mess. LT has played only one series. If SD can somehow win this game...
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:10 PM Damn bad time for a pick
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:11 PM God damnit Chambers.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:12 PM Hold them to 3.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:12 PM ^quit prognosticating
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:14 PM Seriously, where in the fuck is LT?
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:17 PM This is getting ugly. Fuck.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:29 PM C"mon San Diego Super Chargers!
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:32 PM 14-9...blah. Should be at least 14-13.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 04:32 PM I thought NE was going to make it 21-6 so going in 14-9 is kind of a good thing.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:53 PM INT!!!
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:54 PM LOVING SD's D.
Timone 01-20-2008, 04:55 PM Get a fucking TD.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:02 PM Their inability to score a goddamn TD is going to cost them. It's inevitable.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:11 PM God, I hate fucking Maroney.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:15 PM Cromartie!!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:23 PM Imagine i just posted a pic of the players holding up 4 fingers, as in the 4th quarter. I'm too lazy to go find one. SD players that is.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:25 PM Did LT play in the 3rd?
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:25 PM Brady has played like ass and the Pats are going to win because of that bitch Maroney and the fact SD couldn't score a fucking TD.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:25 PM Did LT play in the 3rd?
Nope.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:30 PM Game over. Fucking bullshit.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:30 PM SD's D looks defeated.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:31 PM Well it'll be up to Bret Favrahrahrah to fuck up NE's 'pursuit of perfection'
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:32 PM Time for Rivers to throw more balls into the ground.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:32 PM Man I envy you, if you've honestly never had a beer right now.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:35 PM Time for Rivers to throw more balls into the ground.
Holy shit, your powers are amazing
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:36 PM good news for SD: they only need a FG, then they'll be within 6.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:37 PM Man I envy you, if you've honestly never had a beer right now.
I don't drink unfortunately. A beer sounds good to avoid dealing with more Pats talk though.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:38 PM I don't drink fortunately. A beer sounds good to avoid dealing with more Pats talk though.
fixed
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:39 PM I honestly think I'll pull for Favre in the Super Bowl. And I don't pull for the cheeseheads, ever.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:39 PM The fuck are they punting for?
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:40 PM I honestly think I'll pull for Favre in the Super Bowl. And I don't pull for the cheeseheads, ever.
Knowing my luck, the fucking Giants will go in and beat GB.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:41 PM I'm hoping for a good one. I haven't heard about the weather yet.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 05:43 PM Weather.com has Green Bay at 0F, feels like -18f. I love it.
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:44 PM ME too. I'm watching and not playing. :)
Timone 01-20-2008, 05:58 PM Man, that's gotta suck for LT.
This is fucking gay.
geerussell 01-20-2008, 06:42 PM If Favre loses today and cheats us out of the best superbowl matchup in years, I'm never eating cheese again.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 07:03 PM God damn this is hard to watch. I mean one fucking play and back to ridiculous fucking commercials. At least play for 3 straight minutes or something. Its bad enough having to listen to their on-air commercials interupting the game, but then we take long breaks playing the same commercials over and over, every minute and half.
FUCK!
Glenn 01-20-2008, 07:41 PM Anybody catch that Subway commercial with the ref talking about "blowing that last call"?
It's brilliant.
Glenn 01-20-2008, 07:42 PM Oh, and I don't care about this game anymore, I'm just imagining Pam Oliver's nipples right about now.
I bet she could cut glass with those puppies.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 08:58 PM Anybody catch that Subway commercial with the ref talking about "blowing that last call"?
It's brilliant.
As commcercials go, it was good, but FUCK commercials.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:00 PM I have denied that the old Bret Favre has really returned, cuz the media keeps telling us he has and then they go 6-10 or something. So this time I wasn't going to believe it, but it looks like the old man still has it.
johnnycomelatelyiknow
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:03 PM That was a huge score for the Giants right there. GB gets a score that was hugely helped by a penalty and the NY Football Giants respond with 7 of their own.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:13 PM WTF? Interception by the Giants and they fumble it back to GB for the first down.
Its like its inevitable that Favre is going to the Super Bowl this year.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:34 PM I don't remember what the Giants gave up for the first pick to get Eli, but at the time they took some heat. I think they're justified in their trade. He seems to be getting better every year and gets better later in the season...where the Lions typically fold.
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:36 PM I don't remember what the Giants gave up for the first pick to get Eli, but at the time they took some heat. I think they're justified in their trade. He seems to be getting better every year and gets better later in the season...where the Lions typically fold.
They drafted Rivers, then traded him for Eli.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:39 PM Just straight up?
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:44 PM Yeah. Eli pulled a John Elway and didn't want to play in SD.
Btw, Favre time.
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:47 PM Oh fuck, America may be dealt a huge blow.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:52 PM If there wouldn't have been a penalty? Yes.
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:54 PM OT to decide the NFC Champion? Hm, sure, I'll take it. With college OT rules of course!
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:55 PM Oh fuck! Eli just may do it!
Shit!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 09:57 PM Eli will have more titles than Peyton when both are done.
Timone 01-20-2008, 09:58 PM Knowing my luck, the fucking Giants will go in and beat GB.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:00 PM NO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MoTown 01-20-2008, 10:00 PM LOL
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:00 PM America has a chance
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:00 PM FAVRE IS STILL IN IT!!
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:01 PM HE VANERJAGTED IT!
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:02 PM GREEN BAY WANTS THE BALL AND THEY'RE GONNA SCORE!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:06 PM I hope BF throws a pick for a TD
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:07 PM FAVRE BLEW IT!
Crap!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:09 PM The Giants FG kicker can't hit shit right now, I wouldn't be worried if I were a Packer fan.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:10 PM He's gonna make it.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:10 PM Here comes NE's 4th championship.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:11 PM Weren't the Giants and Lions both tied at 6-6 or something?
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:12 PM That's unfrigginbelievable. Eli Manning? Taking his team to a SB?
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:13 PM Props to the Giants. They turned it over, missed fgs and it seems gave GB every chance to win this thing, but they couldn't.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:13 PM WTF, the game just ended and ESPN still has fucking Tom Brady on.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:15 PM 2 weeks of NE/Brady love on ESPN.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:16 PM 3 road wins by the Giants? Damn, they deserve it.
Finally we get to see Pam
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:16 PM Well, good thing I'm not a Packers fan. I wouldn't have been able to take this one.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:18 PM 2 weeks of NE/Brady love on ESPN.
Yeah, pretty much.
NY shouldn't even show up to Media Day.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:20 PM Well, I guess an under control Manning could be a better matchup for Brady than a bad throw making Brett Favre.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:22 PM Even though he seems like a dick, I kind've feel good for Coughlin.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:23 PM Giants can stop the run but not sure about their pass D. ??? And that'll be more important.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:23 PM Manning done unfroze the fronzen tundra
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:25 PM Not trying to mean or anything like that, but I bet if you asked Eli "Quick, whats 2 plus 2?"
He might pause for a lil while
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:26 PM My cousin plays for NY. Go Giants!
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:28 PM Crap, nvm...he plays for Pittsburgh now.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:29 PM My cousin was in NY once. Go Giants!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:30 PM Whats his name, T. Mailman?
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:30 PM Matt Lentz
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:31 PM Oh, you aren't kidding? Right on
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:32 PM No joke.
He played for the Wolverines too!
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:35 PM No fucking way.
Timone 01-20-2008, 10:36 PM (insert pic of Mark Dantonio)
No joke.
Matt Lentz (born November 19, 1982 in Ortonville, Michigan) is an American football guard and tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Michigan.
Tahoe 01-20-2008, 10:40 PM Thats pretty cool.
YOU, my friend, are NOT a walmart Wolverine fan.
Glenn 01-21-2008, 05:47 AM They drafted Rivers, then traded him for Eli.
The Chargers also got two picks that ended being Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding.
Zekyl 01-21-2008, 10:19 AM I have denied that the old Bret Favre has really returned, cuz the media keeps telling us he has and then they go 6-10 or something. So this time I wasn't going to believe it, but it looks like the old man still has it.
johnnycomelatelyiknow
Turning point in the game, RIGHT there.
Zekyl 01-21-2008, 10:22 AM The Chargers also got two picks that ended being Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding.
I'd say that deal worked out pretty well for them then.
And Karl, your connection to UM is NOT tenuous, at best.
Timone 01-21-2008, 06:45 PM IT's just tenuous.
