Cross 12-20-2007, 08:10 AM Well okafaor was 6 and 9 so he probably had more touches because okafaor was cold but still...WE MISS YOU NAZR
...
b-diddy 12-20-2007, 10:33 AM nazr is exactly the kind of player that would look good on a avg to bad team.
Black Dynamite 12-20-2007, 10:56 AM Like Flip Murray Nazr is a solid addition in in starter minutes. But doesnt have what you'd want for a spark coming in relief. Thats the issue honestly.
Uncle Mxy 12-20-2007, 10:59 AM I suspect Nazr and team got the benefit of the hometown whistle a few times. He can't generally stay on the court for 27 minutes, let alone 37! Apart from his game-killing tendency to foul instead of defend, he's a good player.
CindyKate 12-20-2007, 01:54 PM yeah, 4 fouls in 38 min for Nazr. Wow
Zekyl 12-20-2007, 02:56 PM That sounds about right. I'd have guessed 5 but 4 is just as typical.
CindyKate 12-21-2007, 07:53 PM 6 pts, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 stl, 1 ast in 12 min before he commits his first turnover and foul
Timone 12-21-2007, 09:29 PM 19 and 14 against the Knicks...
Figures. I say he goes for a quad-double in his first game against us.
That's right, us.
Tahoe 12-21-2007, 10:06 PM Nazr who?
Big Swami 12-21-2007, 11:09 PM Nazr's tearing it up for Charlotte right now. Evil Keith is right: the rules for who plays and who doesn't change when your team sucks balls.
Glenn 12-22-2007, 01:15 AM Nazr is tenuously connected to greatness.
Glenn 12-22-2007, 07:58 AM Dec 21 In his third game with the Bobcats after coming over in a trade from Detroit, Mohammed had 20 points and 14 rebounds to notch his first double-double in nearly a year in Charlotte's 105-95 win over the New York Knicks Friday. Mohammed continued his impressive play by hitting 8 of 11 shots and all four free throws.
Advice: Mohammed should continue to get more opportunities, and thus put up better numbers with his new team. He had 17 points and eight rebounds in a win over Utah Wednesday, and has played an average of 33 minutes his last two games, well above what he was playing in Detroit.
Bobcats 2-0 since inserting Nazr into the starting lineup.
Uncle Mxy 12-22-2007, 09:22 AM 5 fouls, 28 minutes.
Glenn 12-26-2007, 09:07 AM Nazr Mohammed (C – Charlotte)
Mohammed's early returns as the Bobcats' starting center have been even better than expected, as he's averaged 17 points on 61 percent shooting, 11 boards and 2.3 blocks in 33 minutes during his first three starts. The Bobcats have been desperate for some solid play in the middle, so they'll give Mohammed as many minutes as he can handle. He'll come back down to earth a bit, but close to a double-double with one-plus block per game is not outside the realm of possibility.
Uncle Mxy 12-26-2007, 09:32 AM Nazr is this year's Shaq -- oh boy!
Zekyl 12-27-2007, 10:56 AM Nazr is lumbering around, fouling everyone, and playing like shit?
Oh, you meant this year's Nazr is like Shaq used to be. My bad.
Glenn 12-29-2007, 06:11 AM 15 pts
14 reb
3 stl
1 blk
another Charlotte Bobcat victory
Uncle Mxy 12-29-2007, 06:31 AM Well, except for the fact that the Bobcats lost last night, and West+Chandler having a better game than Okafor+Mohammed was a factor. Having only 2 fouls in 29 minutes -is- a personal victory for Mohammed, though.
Glenn 12-29-2007, 06:33 AM Shit, I thought they won.
My bad.
Glenn 12-30-2007, 11:07 AM Nazr came off the bench vs. Orlando as Vincent decided to go with a small lineup.
The Cats small starting lineup was a combined -66, but Nazr was +9.
Zekyl 12-30-2007, 11:34 AM Ouch. Looks like that was a smart coaching move. We really should get a coach like that!

DarkOliveGreen text = bashfulness?
Zekyl 12-30-2007, 11:55 AM Eh, just picked a green and went with it.Way to point out my bashfulness. Now I'm all red in the face.

I think they decided they needed two players to bang on Dwight Howard.
4 points, 6 rebounds, 4 fouls in 20 minutes -- more like the Nazr we know.
Glenn 12-31-2007, 03:03 PM Bobs using that small lineup again and they are -35 already in the 2nd quarter.
Nazr is a swimmingly +5
Glenn 12-31-2007, 03:36 PM Starters now -46
Nazr still a team-leading +8
Glenn 01-02-2008, 08:39 AM Jan 1 Mohammed had six points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes Monday in Charlotte's overtime victory over Indiana.
Recommendation: Since he was taken out of the starting lineup as part of Bobcats coach Sam Vincent's most recent shakeup, Mohammed has 10 points and 13 rebounds in two games. This comes after averaging 14.4 points and 11.8 rebounds as a starter in five games. Vincent has his mind set on using Emeka Okafor at center, and Mohammed isn't the greatest defender, so Vincent will probably not insert him as a power forward. Mohammed wasn't particularly mobile when glued under the basket, and his deficiencies are more exposed when chasing players away from the hoop.
You could have written that post the day they made the trade.
Glenn 02-11-2010, 08:25 AM Dude is on fire.
Pharaoh 02-11-2010, 09:19 AM 20/20 game!
