nazr is exactly the kind of player that would look good on a avg to bad team.

Like Flip Murray Nazr is a solid addition in in starter minutes. But doesnt have what you'd want for a spark coming in relief. Thats the issue honestly.

I suspect Nazr and team got the benefit of the hometown whistle a few times. He can't generally stay on the court for 27 minutes, let alone 37! Apart from his game-killing tendency to foul instead of defend, he's a good player.

Mohammed's early returns as the Bobcats' starting center have been even better than expected, as he's averaged 17 points on 61 percent shooting, 11 boards and 2.3 blocks in 33 minutes during his first three starts. The Bobcats have been desperate for some solid play in the middle, so they'll give Mohammed as many minutes as he can handle. He'll come back down to earth a bit, but close to a double-double with one-plus block per game is not outside the realm of possibility.

Well, except for the fact that the Bobcats lost last night, and West+Chandler having a better game than Okafor+Mohammed was a factor. Having only 2 fouls in 29 minutes -is- a personal victory for Mohammed, though.

Jan 1 Mohammed had six points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes Monday in Charlotte's overtime victory over Indiana.

Recommendation: Since he was taken out of the starting lineup as part of Bobcats coach Sam Vincent's most recent shakeup, Mohammed has 10 points and 13 rebounds in two games. This comes after averaging 14.4 points and 11.8 rebounds as a starter in five games. Vincent has his mind set on using Emeka Okafor at center, and Mohammed isn't the greatest defender, so Vincent will probably not insert him as a power forward. Mohammed wasn't particularly mobile when glued under the basket, and his deficiencies are more exposed when chasing players away from the hoop.
