View Full Version : The Nazr Mohammed Appreciation Thread
micknugget 12-14-2007, 08:25 PM Hey, now that the guiy is gone can't we show him just a little love?
When I got to go to an event to meet some of the Pistons, he was very nice and surprisingly knowlegeable about hoops. I hoped that he would have worked out here but it just wasn't meant to be. In watching him play, he appears to have all of the fundamentals down but just always seems just a little slow to react.
Oh well, Good luck in Charlotte, Nazr.
Black Dynamite 12-14-2007, 08:28 PM fuck you nazr, you and flip murray annoy me. take a pay cut if you want appreciation. [smilie=heatsmiley2:
As a person i appreciate you as much as the next rich guy.
Tahoe 12-14-2007, 08:30 PM I appreciate that we no longer have his salary on our books
axemanozh 12-14-2007, 08:53 PM I'll admit, I was expecting nothing but blank space in this thread.
MoTown 12-14-2007, 09:04 PM I appreciate that Nazr is gone.
I appreciate that he went to the same school as Tayshaun.
I can't really think of anything else.
Big Swami 12-14-2007, 09:20 PM He was the only true center Detroit had on its roster, and he wasn't really bad. Pistons just didn't have a use for him. Someone else is going to use him in a way that makes him effective, I'm sure.
geerussell 12-14-2007, 10:15 PM In the face of zero competition for the spot, he stone-hands and foul-machined his way out of the starting center job on two very good teams. Goodbye to Nazr and farewell to the only really bad contract on the piston roster.
Zekyl 12-15-2007, 01:59 AM Good luck to him in Charlotte, but I wanted this deal to happen and I'm glad it did.
Uncle Mxy 12-15-2007, 02:53 AM Nazr is who we thought he was. If you want to crown him, just crown his ass. But he was who we thought he was, and we got him off our books.
Wilfredo Ledezma 12-15-2007, 10:26 AM I remember in the ECF last year, in Game 6, Nazr played the last couple minutes of the 2nd quarter, he missed an easy put back, than fouled Daniel Gibson on a 3 point shot...
Wilfredo Ledezma 12-15-2007, 10:27 AM He was Joe Dumars's worst purchase...
This is why impulse buying is not smart...

Hahaha, nice reference.
Glenn 12-15-2007, 04:04 PM I have no ill will towards Nazr.
The guy is a pretty decent player that Joe Dumars made into a very, very rich man.
Tahoe 12-15-2007, 04:09 PM With the exception of maybe a couple of guys, the ill will was aimed at his contract.

He's actually an above average offensive rebounder...
Unfortunately, most uninformed Pistons fans expected him to come in here and be Ben Wallace...

:cogent:
I liked him as an off the bench guy that could muscle down low when we needed, but not someone making that much money over that many years.
Glenn 12-15-2007, 08:52 PM No Super Dupe appreciation thread?
Maybe we can dig up an old one.
Higherwarrior 12-15-2007, 11:35 PM nazr mohammed appreciation thread....?
OK, well i appreciate it's not his fault, but nazr is a tremendously overpaid statue with cement hands.
