ESPN rates the best QBs, and the one evaluated as the most likely to become the next Manning and Brady, Jay Cutler.
He's rated ahead of Romo, Rothlesburger, Carson Palmer, Vince Young.
Remember when we could have drafted him? Anyone? I know I'm not the only one that wanted to take him.
Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 06:03 PM I think Tony Romo will accomplish more in his career than Jay Cutler will.
I'm surprised theres no ESPN bias in that article.
Zekyl 12-13-2007, 06:04 PM Most sacked since 2006 Player Sacked
1. Jon Kitna 112
2. Ben Roethlisberger 84
Does anyone see a problem here?
Big Swami 12-13-2007, 06:18 PM If Kitna doesn't pray his ass off for a rocket arm and a defensive line he's gonna look like Ali in a few years.
Zekyl 12-13-2007, 06:31 PM Do you mean an offensive line?
Timone 12-13-2007, 07:34 PM That would be nice too.

I'm surprised Roethlisberger is second, the Steelers have a solid O-Line with guys like Faneca and Kendall Simmons...
must be because he's a big frame, and not very mobile...basically the NFL version of Ryan Mallett
Timone 12-13-2007, 10:12 PM Rothlisberger is the second best if not THE best at extending plays though because, like you said, his big frame and the fact you can't bring him down all that easy.
Side note: Every QB in the league > Alex Smith.
Zekyl 12-14-2007, 02:01 AM He's a big dude and all, but he holds onto the ball WAY too long, my girlfriend is a Steelers fan and that's her only complaint with him.
Timone 12-14-2007, 02:18 AM Your gf is a bootlick
Zekyl 12-14-2007, 09:15 AM Agreed.
Glenn 12-14-2007, 09:16 AM If the Broncos put some weapons around Cutler, he could be really, really good.
Zekyl 12-14-2007, 09:18 AM Well they always have a running game. Get him a solid receiver to go with Ashley Lelie and a solid tight end and he'll be set.
Glenn 12-14-2007, 09:21 AM Well they always have a running game. Get him a solid receiver to go with Ashley Lelie and a solid tight end and he'll be set.
Ashley Lelie?
Seriously?
Dude has been on two other teams since he left the Broncos a few years ago.
He's basically on his way out of the league altogether.
JickBoy34 12-14-2007, 09:26 AM lol
Vinny 12-14-2007, 09:28 AM They have Brandon Marshall, who's gonna be (already is?) a stud, and Tony Scheffler at TE.
I like Cutler, he's got that stupid haircut but he also just kind of "looks" like a leader out there. Sounds stupid, I know, but when you see him on the sidelines he just kind of looks like he knows he belongs and knows he's in charge. Maybe I'm just too used to the likes of Joey Strawberries that I think this is so important but I think that's his best trait for a kid so young.
I've only seen like 3-4 of their games this year but I really think Denver's O-Line is a problem this year.
Vinny 12-14-2007, 09:31 AM Also did anyone see that pass into the end zone to Brandon Marshall late in the first half? It was incomplete but Cutler threw it from like the 35 and it was just perfect, high and outside, hit Marshall in stride as he crossed the goal line, just a real pretty ball. Took a perfect play from the corner to break it up.
Glenn 12-14-2007, 09:33 AM He's got the best arm strength that I think I have ever seen.
When the touch comes, wow.
Big Swami 12-14-2007, 10:09 AM Do you mean an offensive line?
Yes, that's what I mean.
WTFchris 12-14-2007, 10:57 AM Ashley Lelie?
Seriously?

Haha.
They've got some good WR's, unfortunately they've been hurt most of the year. Javon Walker, Marshall and Stokely is a solid 3 man setup. Scheffler is a very good TE too. They actually have a very good OL, and young too. Really, the problem this year has just been the injury bug on offense. Cutler should be in good shape provided Young can be the next Davis/Portis/Gary/1,000 yard back.
Their defense is another story. Solid on the outside, weak inside. Terrible run defense. If they can shore up the middle (besides DJ williams), then maybe the opponents won't control the clock and force Cutler to try and catch up.
Zekyl 12-14-2007, 03:06 PM Freudian slip? I meant Brandon Marshall.
DennyMcLain 12-14-2007, 10:09 PM I personally believe that the Drew Stanton U.S American is doing a great job holding a clipboard in the unique situation of a 45 degree tilt. I think that all children such as in South Africa can follow his example of a fumble-less season of the clipboard.
Black Dynamite 12-16-2007, 09:07 AM If the Broncos put some weapons around Cutler, he could be really, really good.
He'll always throw alot of dangerous passes though. did all through college. i like the kid, but imo weapons or no weapons he's got some work ahead of him.
Black Dynamite 12-16-2007, 09:11 AM He's got the best arm strength that I think I have ever seen.
When the touch comes, wow.
we'll see about that.

Black Dynamite 12-16-2007, 09:12 AM I think Tony Romo will accomplish more in his career than Jay Cutler will.
i gotta agree with this, mainly because he'll be smarter for most their careers if not all. Also Cutler is not ahead of Rothliberger.
Zekyl 12-16-2007, 01:28 PM They aren't saying he's better now. They're saying he has the potential to be the much better player.
