View Full Version : Mitchell Report Glenn 12-12-2007, 11:08 AM 60-80 names will be made public tomorrow I wonder how many current/former Tigers? Zekyl 12-12-2007, 11:11 AM Who on the current tigers would be named? Sheff? Maybe Pudge? Other than that I can't think of anyone. Glenn 12-12-2007, 11:15 AM Certainly not :howdidwegetminer: Zekyl 12-12-2007, 11:16 AM Hell no, he's far too classy for that. Who'd we get him for again? Timone 12-12-2007, 11:30 AM Pudge will probably be listed. I doubt Sheffield will be, because steroids are only something you put in your butt. Period. Zekyl 12-12-2007, 11:34 AM Nice. MoTown 12-12-2007, 01:04 PM Chris Shelton? Timone 12-12-2007, 01:04 PM Who? MoTown 12-12-2007, 01:07 PM The future of the Tigers! Zekyl 12-12-2007, 02:37 PM Didn't he get cut or something? I swear I heard that recently. DrRay11 12-12-2007, 02:39 PM He was traded for some nobody. Zekyl 12-12-2007, 02:44 PM Big surprise. We should have traded him while he was hot. Wizzle 12-12-2007, 03:10 PM Pudge and Sheff will most likely be on this report.........and then everybody will say "okay, so...now what?" And the answer will be "NOTHING" Glenn 12-12-2007, 04:30 PM Today, Miggy Tejada gets traded, tomorrow he gets outed. Glenn 12-12-2007, 06:10 PM Mitchell to deliver probe 2 p.m. Thursday lol Glenn 12-13-2007, 08:11 AM Hearing some good stuff about this. 1. Those that are expecting BIG NAMES "will not be disappointed" 2. There is at least 1 former Cy Young winner in the report The first name that I thought of, of course, is Clemens, but it's probably somebody like Eric Gagne. Timone 12-13-2007, 10:26 AM News just broke on ESPN that Clemens will be named. Glenn 12-13-2007, 10:30 AM So who is going to file the first lawsuit against baseball? Timone 12-13-2007, 10:33 AM Is Mitchell going to just hold a press conference where he just names everybody? If so, that would be awesome. And tight. Hermy 12-13-2007, 10:42 AM CLEMENS IS BEING SINGLED OUT BECAUSE HE IS WHITE. Glenn 12-13-2007, 10:43 AM Is Mitchell going to just hold a press conference where he just names everybody? If so, that would be awesome. And tight. Yes. There will also be a powerpoint presentation showing behind him with mug shot photos of all the implcated players. Okay, no, but that would rule. I'm guessing that the presser will be more about the overall report and the processes involved and he'll probably refuse to get into individual names and instead refer people to the report and let it speak for itself. Timone 12-13-2007, 10:44 AM CLEMENS IS BEING SINGLED OUT BECAUSE HE IS WHITE. Agreed. This is all clearly a racial issue. [/ESPN] Glenn 12-13-2007, 10:50 AM There will also be a powerpoint presentation showing behind him with mug shot photos of all the implcated players. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/graphics/packageart/mugshots/dontrellewillismug1.jpg Timone 12-13-2007, 10:51 AM http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/babesthatlovebaseball/Under%20Belly/TonyLaRussaMugShot.jpg Big Swami 12-13-2007, 10:54 AM It's baseball. Every one of these guys already has a drunk-driving mugshot you could use. Timone 12-13-2007, 10:56 AM Andy Pettitte named. Timone 12-13-2007, 10:58 AM If Griffey Jr. is named, I think every baseball fan in America will die inside a little bit. Glenn 12-13-2007, 11:02 AM Andy Pettitte named. Mr. Religion? What does the Bible say about steroid use? Timone 12-13-2007, 11:04 AM I think it only says that steroid use as a homosexual will damn you to Hell. Timone 12-13-2007, 11:05 AM bukdow named. Timone 12-13-2007, 11:08 AM FUCK! I've just been told I've been outed! https://www.fresno.edu/images/userimages/FPU_Rustin%20Pickett/6508/coach_beauregard.jpg Zekyl 12-13-2007, 11:39 AM bukdow named. ...as the primary injector. He just loves getting a look at the dudes' asses. Hermy 12-13-2007, 11:47 AM Brady Anderson Manny Alexander Rick Ankiel Jeff Bagwell Barry Bonds Aaron Boone Rafaeil Bettancourt Bret Boone Milton Bradley David Bell Dante Bichette Albert Belle Paul Byrd Wil Cordero Ken Caminiti Mike Cameron Ramon Castro Jose Canseco Ozzie Canseco Roger Clemens Paxton Crawford Wilson Delgado Lenny Dykstra Johnny Damon Carl Everett Kyle Farnsoworth Ryan Franklin Troy Glaus Rich Garces Jason Grimsley Juan Gonzalez Eric Gagne Nomar Garciaparra Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Jose Guillen Jay Gibbons Juan Gonzalez Clay Hensley Jerry Hairston Felix Heredia Jr. Darren Holmes Wally Joyner Darryl Kile Matt Lawton Raul Mondesi Mark McGwire Guillermo Mota Robert Machado Damian Moss Abraham Nunez Trot Nixon Jose Offerman Andy Pettitte Mark Prior Neifi Perez Rafael Palmiero Albert Pujols Brian Roberts Juan Rincon John Rocker Pudge Rodriguez Sammy Sosa Scott Schoenweis David Segui Alex Sanchez Gary Sheffield Miguel Tejada Julian Tavarez Fernando Tatis Maurice Vaughn Jason Varitek Ismael Valdez Matt Williams Kerry Wood Hermy 12-13-2007, 11:51 AM Albert Pujols oops. DrRay11 12-13-2007, 11:53 AM Pudge, Gary, and Neifi.... Not surprised. And Pujols=for shame. MoTown 12-13-2007, 11:54 AM Are these speculations, Hermy, or do you already know the list? DrRay11 12-13-2007, 11:56 AM YEAH HERMY WTF MAN Glenn 12-13-2007, 12:01 PM Miner in the clear, as expected And no not "The Clear" Also, how many dead guys on that list? I saw at least two for sure. Some of these dudes haven't played in nearly 10 years. Timone 12-13-2007, 12:03 PM Damn. Pujols? IS NOTHING RIGHT IN THIS WORLD??!?! Timone 12-13-2007, 12:04 PM Pudge was one of the more obvious ones. Timone 12-13-2007, 12:04 PM Pudge was one of the more obvious ones. No shit. Hermy 12-13-2007, 12:04 PM I got it off a link of a link, so take it for what the internet is worth. I am a better source than Art, that much is sure. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 12:06 PM Juan Gone was on there twice... Timone 12-13-2007, 12:06 PM There's gotta be more than one Juan Gonzalez in baseball. MoTown 12-13-2007, 12:07 PM There's not a person on that list that surprises me. The one thing that did surprise me was that Pujols wasn't being investigated earlier. Look at him. That's not how a human body is supposed to look. I've been saying that for years. He's bigger than a damn WWF wrestler. Timone 12-13-2007, 12:07 PM I wonder how my Barry Bonds' loving "friend" is going to react now. "GET ME PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF BONDS INJECTING SOMETHING INTO HIS ASS!" Timone 12-13-2007, 12:08 PM There's not a person on that list that surprises me. The one thing that did surprise me was that Pujols wasn't being investigated earlier. Look at him. That's not how a human body is supposed to look. I've been saying that for years. He's bigger than a damn WWF wrestler. I gave Pujols the benefit of the doubt. Then again I didn't start watching baseball until like '04. From what I understood now his body changed significantly from the time he arrived to the present... Hermy 12-13-2007, 12:09 PM There's gotta be more than one Juan Gonzalez in baseball. The Tigers have had more than one. And that list broke about 15 minutes before MSNBC had Albert listed, so I have to take it to be worth something. MoTown 12-13-2007, 12:10 PM I'm just glad Milt Cuyler wasn't on the list. Timone 12-13-2007, 12:12 PM I hope some of these guys are still going to be in MLB 2K8! Timone 12-13-2007, 12:13 PM I think this should be stickied. Disappointed Jeter isn't listed. I guess that asshole really is perfect. Chalk another one up for U of M, goddamnit. Hermy 12-13-2007, 12:28 PM Evidnetly Fox News is reading names off this list, but a couple other people in the know are saying not everything here is kosher. Grain of salt. Glenn 12-13-2007, 12:51 PM Evidnetly Fox News is reading names off this list, but a couple other people in the know are saying not everything here is kosher. Grain of salt. Good to know. I was going to send out a mass email to the whole membership and claim to have the leaked list (courtesy of Hermy, of course). Okay, I wasn't really going to do that, but I'm glad I didn't. Glenn 12-13-2007, 01:01 PM Btw, if this list is indeed legit, THIS is the name that I was really hoping to see: Mark McGwire Ever since that "I'm not here to talk about the past" debacle in front of Congress (still one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever seen) I've wanted at least something on the record about that guy's misdeeds with PED (besides andro). Timone 12-13-2007, 01:15 PM Getting my chips and salsa ready. Not because I'm genuinely excited, but because I have nothing else to do/watch. Timone 12-13-2007, 01:27 PM Anybody else think they should make a movie to follow up on this? "The Mitchell Report" has a nice ring to it. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 01:30 PM A movie about hor tough it was for him to do this, about all the scandals and blah blah blah, it would fit with all the crap they're putting out these days. Timone 12-13-2007, 01:32 PM ******** on IMDB, at worst. UxKa 12-13-2007, 01:39 PM It could star Harrison Ford as Mitchell and Matt Damon as the wiley up and coming assistant. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 01:40 PM I wonder if Neifi Perez will be in this report...or Lindsey Hunter... Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 01:41 PM It could star Harrison Ford as Mitchell and Matt Damon as the wiley up and coming assistant. they should have Paula Abdul play Barry Bonds Timone 12-13-2007, 01:43 PM Nah, Jennifer Hudson. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 01:46 PM It could star Harrison Ford as Mitchell and Matt Damon as the wiley up and coming assistant. Damon's getting a little too old to play the up-and-coming assistant guy. You've got to get someone in their late-20's for that. UxKa 12-13-2007, 01:47 PM Josh Hartnett? UxKa 12-13-2007, 01:48 PM Where is ARod on that list anyway? Timone 12-13-2007, 01:51 PM George Mitchell: the next great action movie star. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 01:55 PM If Chris Farley were still alive, he could play Jon Kruk in the ESPN studio... John Goodman is a possible candidate. Timone 12-13-2007, 01:55 PM Don't diss John Goodman like that. He fucking owned in The Big Lebowski. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 01:56 PM Josh Hartnett? That would probably work. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 01:57 PM Don't diss John Goodman like that. He fucking owned in The Big Lebowski. Yeah but he was terrible in Evan Almighty... Timone 12-13-2007, 01:58 PM No one will remember that movie years from now. The Big Lebowski is a classic. L-LrjZL7bHs Hermy 12-13-2007, 02:02 PM My list was off on quite a few. Timone 12-13-2007, 02:13 PM Chris Benoit on this list? Tahoe 12-13-2007, 02:17 PM I'm impressed. I thought Mitchell would get up there and candy-coat things. There were a lot of things he said that were hard hitting, npi. He said something like....the owners didn't want testing either. They were more interested in the financial aspect of the game. Right fucking on, Georgie. Glenn 12-13-2007, 02:17 PM http://files.mlb.com/mitchrpt.pdf Timone 12-13-2007, 02:21 PM I have a fear speaking in front of a bunch of people. I respect this man just for going on TV and saying all of this to everybody. WTFchris 12-13-2007, 02:21 PM ^anybody download that thing yet? I'd like to see the list posted, but I can't really download it at work because it hits against our server (which is monitored). Tahoe 12-13-2007, 02:24 PM It gives the names and a couple of paragraphs about the evidence. Cashed checks, hand written notes, etc. I just scanned it quickly cuz I should be going to work here shortly. Glenn 12-13-2007, 02:26 PM Best CNN Breaking News Email ever: -- MLB steroid report: Use widespread, includes biggest stars They had to wait until 2:30 pm to send that out? WTFchris 12-13-2007, 02:27 PM ESPN says all 30 teams have players named in the report. I'm sure Sheff is named in some aspect. Timone 12-13-2007, 02:32 PM LOL WTF IS THAT? Timone 12-13-2007, 02:33 PM I think Mitchell just got pranked. Wizzle 12-13-2007, 02:43 PM Current, Former Tigers in "Mitchell Report" Posted by Scott Warheit December 13, 2007 14:00PM Both current and former members of the Detroit are among the many names that are included in former Senator George Mitchell's steroid investigation report which was distributed both to the media and to Major League Baseball this afternoon (And can be fully accessed, 408-pages and all, at Major League Baseball's official website. I have briefly skimmed through the report, and former Detroit Tigers Mark Carreon, Hal Morris, Phil Hiatt, Fernando Vina, and Nook Logan are listed in the report as is Juan Gonzalez. Gary Sheffield is the only current Detroit Tiger mentioned in the report (through his association with BALCO), and the name Ivan Rodriguez does not appear anywhere in the 408-page report. Other major names included are Roger Clemons, Andy Pettitte, and Miguel Tejada. An interesting part of the report did find that in 2004, anabolic steroids were found in the Detroit Tigers locker-room. At the end of the 2004 season, a clubhouse employee was cleaning out the Detroit Tigers locker room when he found a black toiletry kit that was locked. He and another Tigers employee opened the bag and found unused syringes and vials that they determined were anabolic steroids. They did not report the incident. The employee said that he could not remember who the bag belonged to. There is no word yet on any potential discipline from Major League Baseball as a result of being named in the report, nor has there been any reaction, yet, from the named players. A great review of "what's next" for players after being named in the report can be found on SI.com, where Michael McCann reviews in-depth the consequences of being named in the report. Timone 12-13-2007, 02:43 PM Whaaaaaaaaaat? DrRay11 12-13-2007, 02:50 PM No Pudge. Sheffield is mentioned, basically with the stuff involving "the clear" and "the cream." I downloaded the report and searched for Tigers players who had been under suspision. It talks about what Gary said in his book about not knowing that it was steroids if it was, and that he rubbed the cream on his knees. It did not make him stronger. But yeah, Pudge not being on there is a bit of a surprise. Big Swami 12-13-2007, 02:52 PM Page 109 is where the awesome shit starts. "Unreported incidents." MLB has got to be the biggest cover-up squad in the history of organized crime, or the dumbest bunch of dumbfucks who ever fucked a dummy. MoTown 12-13-2007, 03:01 PM Nook Logan??? That's awesome. Timone 12-13-2007, 03:29 PM The fuck are they bringing Rob Parker on for? Vinny 12-13-2007, 04:13 PM Page 111: Given Canseco’s more recent and highly publicized admissions of his own steroid use, the connection between Canseco and the steroids Valdez was carrying while traveling with him now appears obvious. At the time, however, a report in the San Francisco Chronicle described the connection as “tenuous” (although soon thereafter a Chronicle sports columnist expressed some skepticism and also stated that baseball did “not even have a rule against steroid use” and “[t]heoretically, a baseball player could keep a bottle of steroids in his locker in the clubhouse and eat them during interviews”). Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:22 PM Vinny, I'm impressed. And what happened to Nook Logan. At one time he was considered one of the fastest guys in the league, right? Then he dropped off the map. Timone 12-13-2007, 04:24 PM Wasn't he having a "good" (an "ok" season to most) season with Washington a couple years ago? Wilfredo Ledezma 12-13-2007, 04:33 PM Chris Benoit on this list? Ha. Timone 12-13-2007, 04:45 PM No one's surprised to see Todd Jones isn't in this report. :/ Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:46 PM Wasn't he having a "good" (an "ok" season to most) season with Washington a couple years ago? I remember hearing his name with another team after we cut him, but I couldn't remember who. Who was it he was competing with? Someone that we eventually got rid of and got caught for steroids. The guy that was really inconsistent. Its right there and I can't think of it. Timone 12-13-2007, 04:48 PM Alex Sanchez? Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:49 PM No one's surprised to see Todd Jones isn't in this report. :/ Wouldn't steroids make him good? Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:49 PM Yes, Alex Sanchez, thank you. Timone 12-13-2007, 04:51 PM Wouldn't steroids make him good? Yeah, that was the joke. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:55 PM Read it wrong, read it as a question, not a statement. Can we get him on steriods? DD, work your magic! See if those employees kept that little black bag. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 04:56 PM If it had been long enough ago, I'd have said the bag was Higgy's or Juan Gone's Timone 12-13-2007, 05:01 PM So Pujols isn't in the report? Timone 12-13-2007, 05:03 PM Kruk pulling a Glenn, whining about the names being made public. Zekyl 12-13-2007, 05:19 PM Why shouldn't they? If you work for a major corporation and you're caught cheating, ex. fixing the books for profit, its made public. They broke the rules in a sport that is highly publicized. There's no reason this shouldn't go public. Tahoe 12-13-2007, 05:53 PM They had to name names or the report would have been looked at like a half assed job and/or a cover-up. Everyone would have been digging and it would have been non-stop questions to everyone involved. Its a good thing they got over that hurdle. Glenn 12-13-2007, 06:26 PM Clemens claiming he's innocent, of course. Tahoe 12-13-2007, 06:40 PM The players association kind of took off the gloves on Selig, imoa. Those fucking babies cry about anything. The report ripped the owners too. This isn't the owners giving those babies spankings, they got them too. Nothing will become of this but its all out there now. Fool 12-13-2007, 08:17 PM Is doing steriods like traveling or getting away with an offensive foul? Zekyl 12-13-2007, 08:43 PM Its like Dwyane Wade getting all the calls. You know its there, you know he's flopping like a madman, yet nothing will ever come of it. No matter how much he's outted for it or how much the league says it will look into that type of behavior, it will continue unabated. Tahoe 12-13-2007, 08:50 PM I expect that the testing will get a lot tougher and the league will negotiate as tough of penalties as they can get, but I don't think they'll go back and do anything to those players. Timone 12-13-2007, 08:50 PM WTF?! Wade doesn't flop. Vinny 12-13-2007, 09:54 PM Is doing steriods like traveling or getting away with an offensive foul? No, that's pine tar. MoTown 12-13-2007, 10:02 PM Steroids is like having Tim Donaghy reffing your game. Fool 12-13-2007, 10:24 PM Motown is Capo now? Congrats. MoTown 12-13-2007, 10:29 PM Thanks! I've been wanting this job for a very long time now. alsoi'vebeenacapofor3months (http://wtfdetroit.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10245) ps you congratulated me in the thread Fool 12-14-2007, 12:36 AM http://readingwritingliving.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/nice-airport-airplane_12202.jpg MoTown 12-14-2007, 09:24 AM Over my head? Glenn 12-14-2007, 09:25 AM One name that I was really glad to not see is Cal Ripken Jr. That would have really been depressing. The Mark Carreon revelation was crushing enough. Big Swami 12-14-2007, 09:57 AM One name that I was really glad to not see is Cal Ripken Jr. That would have really been depressing. The Mark Carreon revelation was crushing enough. Cal is a saint and can do no wrong except maybe put up mediocre stats. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-14-2007, 11:51 AM I was going to print the Mitchell Report and read at school between my finals, but it turns out there isn't enough paper, or ink in my house to print all 4,000 pages... damn, looks like I'll have to play solytare on my phone instead :( D's Nuts 12-15-2007, 06:40 PM Per espn.com today Pettite admitted using HGH in 2002. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-15-2007, 08:11 PM Now Clemens is in a tough spot, now if he wants to say he did it for "2 days" like Pettitte did, everybody will accuse him of lying since he's already denied it... sucks to be Roger right now Tahoe 12-15-2007, 08:17 PM Are HGH and Steroids treated the same under the law? My buddy just bought a bunch of HGH over the net. He has ordered steroids too. Actually prohormones, I guess. Splitting hairs. I know, I know, I should ask my buddy. Everytime I do, he says, its all legal. Yea right! Timone 12-15-2007, 08:35 PM Is this your same "buddy" that's a Christian? *wink* Wilfredo Ledezma 12-18-2007, 09:36 AM Who saw Fernando Vina giving his story to Bob Ley...tell me with all the fidgeting he did he's not guilty as reported... Glenn 12-18-2007, 09:38 AM Agreed on the Vina thing. It looked like he was just thinking, "Please don't fire me, ESPN". I think they probably will, eventually. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-18-2007, 09:41 AM Ditto, although they'll report he was fired for some other reason, like they did with Harold Reynolds... it's a shame, Vina was a Tigers advocate on Baseball Tonight this past year... What a corporation!! Mike Tirico can stalk employees, and get charged with sexual harrasment, yet he's got his own radio show and hosts MNF, then Harold Reynolds supposively hugs a girl the wrong way, and gets canned... Zekyl 12-18-2007, 11:17 AM Gotta love corporate America. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-18-2007, 11:18 AM Disney = Evil Empire Timone 12-18-2007, 09:15 PM Agreed on the Vina thing. It looked like he was just thinking, "Please don't fire me, ESPN". I think they probably will, eventually. "I took it, but you know Bob, I was hurt...I wanted to play every inning of every game." Bob asks about the checks. "Yeah, I think they were all for the HGH...but Bob, I love to play the game of baseball, I was hurt. I didn't want to get bigger or stronger." Tahoe 12-18-2007, 09:18 PM Is this your same "buddy" that's a Christian? *wink* No, I have more than one bud. :emo kid: Tahoe 12-18-2007, 09:19 PM They are all hiding under the I was hurt bullshit. Today, Wilbon said I wish someone would say...I had to keep up with Bonds for chrissakes. Timone 12-18-2007, 09:21 PM I feel sorry for Vina. I don't know why. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-19-2007, 09:28 AM I feel sorry for Vina. I don't know why. Probably because it's more embarassing to defend yourself on video, rather than over the phone like David Justice did... You could actually tell Vina was lying, whereas with Justice, you'd never know Glenn 12-20-2007, 03:55 PM In case you guys missed it the other day, Pete Rose was quoted as saying that the steroid controversy is "making a mockery of baseball". lol Much like that haircut does, Pete. b-diddy 12-20-2007, 08:03 PM i liked rose's point. if these guys are being concidered for the hall, he should too. more to the point, this whole "give back the awards" "destroy the awards" etc arguments really piss me off. whether they should have or not, these achievements happened. you cannot go backwards and say these dont count because you PROBABLY cheated to achieve this. it would set a horrible, and unfair precedent. sports writers should punish them by not voting them in the hall. Tahoe 12-20-2007, 08:05 PM i liked rose's point. if these guys are being concidered for the hall, he should too. more to the point, this whole "give back the awards" "destroy the awards" etc arguments really piss me off. whether they should have or not, these achievements happened. you cannot go backwards and say these dont count because you PROBABLY cheated to achieve this. it would set a horrible, and unfair precedent. sports writers should punish them by not voting them in the hall. So if someone cheats on a test in HS or College and gets caught, the achievements happened so they should be accepted? b-diddy 12-20-2007, 09:24 PM if someone tested positive for ritalin, or was said to have taken ritalin during HS, despite not having ADD, they shouldnt have their diploma taken away, thats for sure. especially if the school did everything but encourage the taking of ritalin, many people had been taking ritalin, and people had been cheating for generations without recourse. Tahoe 12-20-2007, 09:27 PM I'm not familiar with ritalin. Is that an analogy to steroids in sports? b-diddy 12-20-2007, 09:37 PM is cheating on a test? Vinny 12-28-2007, 08:00 PM Crazy shit: WTFSteroids.com (http://www.professionalmuscle.com/forums/archive/index.php/f-2.html) Black Dynamite 12-31-2007, 10:02 AM One name that I was really glad to not see is Cal Ripken Jr. That would have really been depressing. So you guys are bound by the MItchell Report? Cal could have very well tried the stuff. Steroids have been in sports as long as they've been around. I'm sure as soon as HGH became available guys used it. My possibly favorite player of all time is Nolan Ryan, and its not out the realm of possibility for him either. With that said, if he ever became accused of any of that shit. I'd still say he's one of the greatest pitchers of all time. Either way i'm glad about one thing. Names are being thrown out besides BOnds. I'm tired of him taking all of the heat for something maybe more than half the league did. And players would watch him burn at the stake before they stepped up on how dirty they've been. Glenn 12-31-2007, 10:06 AM I can agree with that. I was simply stating that I was pleased that Cal's name was still clean, doesn't mean that he never touched the stuff, but he hasn't been implicated. When the Mitchell report came out, I'll admit that it changed the way that I think about Bonds in some ways. He's still an arrogant ass and a liar, but maybe taking so much of the heat for this shit by himself, when he knew damn well that tons of others were getting a free pass from the public, contributed to his bitterness? Hey he was always a bitter prick. Unfortunately thats a crime in the court of public opinion. So he was a perfect candidate to make the lone target. No one liked him personally and he was breaking records that some couldnt touch even with steroids. Mainly because he was an exceptional ball player in the first place. With that said, I think Bonds was bitter more with the people who didn't think to look at spreading the blame more so than the fellow players letting him take all the heat. Canseco is mad at them. But i dont think Bonds is. Timone 12-31-2007, 10:46 AM Speaking of Canseco, I might actually read the sequel to Juiced (it's in the works). Glenn 12-31-2007, 10:50 AM Speaking of Canseco, I might actually read the sequel to Juiced (it's in the works). He's going to claim that ARod has roided. Timone 12-31-2007, 10:52 AM Oh, what? I just wanted to see if he was going to shed some light on what his castmates from "The Surreal Life" did. Black Dynamite 12-31-2007, 11:07 AM Oh, what? I just wanted to see if he was going to shed some light on what his castmates from "The Surreal Life" did. Well the bitches tried to hump him. that was pretty apparent not counting the very lesbian looking brat. Though Da Brat will still claim to be a 33 year old tom boy. Tahoe 12-31-2007, 04:43 PM Canseco pretty much told the truth, as far as I can tell. Zekyl 12-31-2007, 09:03 PM Yeah, he did, but everyone hates him for it because he just did it to make money. Uncle Mxy 01-01-2008, 12:57 AM http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/1231sunsnb1231.html A news release was delivered Sunday to Suns forward Grant Hill, who paused briefly on his first read of the headline. It said, "Hill becomes the first NBA player named in Mitchell Report." Zekyl 01-01-2008, 02:02 AM Holy crap, really? I mean, I suppose it doesn't really surprise me, he had some really shitty injuries, but wow. Timone 01-01-2008, 04:30 AM I buy it (Hill being named, not steroids/HGH). b-diddy 01-02-2008, 10:08 PM it wasnt in the mitchell report, it was in the kerr report. im pretty sure he did it just to shamelessly draw attention to his bid for the presedency, too. Tahoe 01-04-2008, 08:29 PM LOL Congress wants Clemens to testify. OMG, I would take off work to watch that douche testify.
