Dayum.

Nature can be a bit disturbing sometimes.

Let's see that motherfucker try that with an alpaca.

Well, I discovered this on the Unexplained Mysteries forum (being a nerd and all) and they were talking about how a golden eagle couldn't possibly be able to lift and carry a sheep. My question though: how do you fake a video like this?

It's gotta be fake. Those camera angles are too well designed to be spontaneous.

I think it could be real. I saw a video where an Eagle snatched a monkey from a tree and kept flying.

It looked to me like when the Eagle took off with it, the sheep was dead. Easier to carry. And it didn't look like a full grown sheep to me.

BTW...When I saw Denny posted in this thread I thought he was going to say that was him dressed up like an Eagle on vacay.

That's cool. I saw a video where this python ate a monkey. Nature can indeed be very disturbing sometimes!

Looks fake to me. The eagle goes over to the sheep, the camera angle shifts just a little bit, and then all of the sudden the sheep is lifeless.

Nice horror music for the film, though. I was waiting for Michael Myers to jump out and stab the eagle and have lunch and dinner.

If you talk to people in Montana and Wyoming, they hate eagles with every fiber of their being. Seems like they all have some story about a pet being carried off.

I always thought eagles were cool. Now I know they are cool. When they fly, the noise they make sounds like an orchestra playing.

Ha, this must now be the official "Golden Eagles are Bad Ass" thread. What was animal the eagle went after in that video?

There are bald eagles up at our lakehouse in WI, there is a nest about 100 yards away. People with smaller pets do have to be careful. I don't think anybody has outdoor cats, and people with smaller dogs can only take them out on a leash. The only pets you see running free in the yards are bigger dogs, about 60+ pounds.

The question is: where do the eagles take the pets, and what do they do with them?

Can anybody say "probe"?

I see some potential for alternative revenue sources.

Who do we send the eagle's royalty checks to?

I don't want the hassle of tracking him down for a mailing address like we had to do with Harold Reynolds and Barbaro. We still owe Keith Nichol a buttload of cash.

You could always pay the eagle in alpacas, I'm sure the eagle would appreciate it.

Okay, what's to keep them from doing this to people?

Maybe we can send a bunch of these bad boys over to Iraq and get our troops home.

Fuckers would be surrendering left and right as to not feel the talons.

They'd be more scared than they would be of nukes, I bet.

I was watching a special on the History Channel a few weeks ago and they talked about how raptors used to prey on our ancient ancestors.

It was cool, yet kinda frightening. Some redneck was on there and claimed to have been almost carried off by some sort of flying creature when he was a kid.

I bet it was an airplane.
