View Full Version : OGT: Pistons @ Bucks Timone 12-01-2007, 08:53 PM Just in case anyone forgot/cared. Atticus771 12-01-2007, 09:24 PM Sounds like we're doing well so far. Milwaukee isn't a pushover anymore, and we're doing some good things with rebounding. MoTown 12-01-2007, 09:31 PM I forgot about this and was watching the Wings. Turned it on and they've been kicking ass ever since. Afflalo getting a lot of PT. Playing really well against Redd. Cross 12-01-2007, 10:57 PM I like how no one got over 30 mins..except billups and aa gt 21 btw flip scores 16 in 10 minutes... Tahoe 12-01-2007, 11:00 PM Playing COD, but will be checking in. Zekyl 12-01-2007, 11:46 PM I was watching on and off throughout the game. Afflalo was looking pretty solid, like he could be a great bench contributer in the future. Max looked dominant during the parts of the game I saw, he had a few great blocks from the weak side during one stretch. Overall, a great showing. Kstat 12-01-2007, 11:48 PM through 10 wins, the Pistons have four wins by 24+ points. in the entire 2006 season when they won 64 games, they had five wins by 24+ points. Zekyl 12-01-2007, 11:51 PM Maybe the starters have realized that if they want to keep their minutes down, they have to put up an insurmountable lead. FP22 12-02-2007, 12:12 AM through 10 wins, the Pistons have four wins by 24+ points. in the entire 2006 season when they won 64 games, they had five wins by 24+ points. We are a much better garbage time team now. With Flip scoring in bunches, AA defending and knocking down shots, Hayes hitting jumpers everywhere, Amir blocking shots and getting putbacks, Nazr rebounding and getting putbacks. That team 2 years ago had an old vet running the GT PG spot, who didn't care to be out there along with guys like Mo Evans, Dale Davis, Darko, Rook Max, and Delfino. Leads used to drop like crazy in garbage time nearly every game. Now we're just pooring it on. Tahoe 12-02-2007, 12:53 AM through 10 wins, the Pistons have four wins by 24+ points. in the entire 2006 season when they won 64 games, they had five wins by 24+ points. What does that mean to you? It could just mean we come garbage time we have guys that keep pouring it on? Or our bench is better? Or....???? They're still just dubyas, right? Kstat 12-02-2007, 04:50 AM It says to me that this team is in the business of stepping on the necks of other teams, as opposed to letting them back in the game. Killer instinct. This team has it in spades. Do I believe attitude is the reason? Not entirely. I think Afflalo, Hayes and a vastly improved Maxiell give this team the luxury of resting starters and maintaining a big lead during the heart of the game. In the meantime, the starters come back in rested and go for the kill, wheras in 2006 they were often running on fumes and trying to hold on. I believe when Rodney Stuckey is back and acclimated, this team is going to maul people like they did after they got sheed. The defensive intensity is insane with the 2nd unit, sans Murray. Big Swami 12-02-2007, 11:10 AM What does that mean to you? It could just mean we come garbage time we have guys that keep pouring it on? Or our bench is better? Or....???? They're still just dubyas, right? There's two different kinds of W's. The first kind of W takes everything the starters have to give and the team needs time to recover. The second kind of W gives your starters rest, gives your youngs playing time and confidence, and gets you more ready for the next game. EDIT: Glenn, I am humbled by your new avatar. I really do find myself hating Flip Murray less these days. Uncle Mxy 12-02-2007, 11:54 AM Buckmeat. It's what's for dinner. Black Dynamite 12-02-2007, 12:22 PM Oh and Glenn your new avatar can suck a pair of donkey's balls. Ball hogging in garbage time again. Makes me turn off the game when he does that. Also Hunter actually surprised me. He was much better as a true PG than Flip. Helped get alot of chances for our bigs. If he keeps it up i'm all for the Hunter movement. Thats a big if. But yea he played damn good. Tahoe 12-02-2007, 08:26 PM I'm looking forward to Stuckey coming back too. I wish it was a big man returning, cuz thats where I feel this team is lacking the ability to go all the way. Rip, CBill and Tay can do it, but Sheed and Dice don't have that superb defensive presence that a team needs to win a championship. Black Dynamite 12-03-2007, 08:30 AM Rip, CBill and Tay can do it, but Sheed and Dice don't have that superb defensive presence that a team needs to win a championship. Cheick Samb needs to see more time over Nazr. Amir Johnson and Maxiell are a decent defensive combo off the bench though. |
