In Bill Simmons most recent chat (http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/special/billsimmons?event_id=18257) he keeps bringing up the idea of Rasheed and Max for Amare Stoudamire? Would we really do this? Aren't we already soft enough in the middle? I mean, this would give us a legitimate low post threat night in and night out, but Amare has no defense whatsover. It would be Flip's dream and the fans' worst nightmare! Or am I completely wrong?
Last year I would have said no despite Amare's upside. This year JMax has seemed a bit questionable, and Samb and Amir have show some stuff. Do I think we would have a better shot at the title this year? Probably not. Could it help us down the road? Possibly.

I'd love to have Amare, but I don't like giving up Rasheed. He can dominate games at will. The only problem is that he never wills himself to do that.

The Pistons aren't winning shit with what they have now anyways.
If you look to next year or farther... Amare and Amir with Samb off the bench could be a nice frontcourt. How long is Amare signed for right now?

He's got about 4 more years I think, but that's just off the top of my head so it could be wrong.

I really don't think you can trade Rasheed Wallace without blowing up this squad.

I'd do it straight up but not with Maxiell also. We'd still need an effective and tough backup. Maybe Amir can handle that and maybe not.

Nah, don't destroy our team chemistry. Everyone in that lockerroom loves Sheed, and this year he has been a model citizen. Plus, Sheed's game is more suited for a long career, and I don't think Amare's game will hold up once he gets older.
