View Full Version : Sean Taylor... dead Hermy 11-26-2007, 10:43 AM Shot in the groin. Extremely critical condition. Someone broke into his house this morning. Glenn 11-26-2007, 10:45 AM Bad news seems to follow that guy around. Timone 11-26-2007, 03:44 PM Yeah, I don't think this is good for that football team. Tahoe 11-26-2007, 04:33 PM ESPN just reported that he was clinging to life and unresponsive. So they went to a reporter that he's doing OK. So WTFK? Tahoe 11-26-2007, 07:32 PM 52 minutes ago... Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has fallen into a coma following surgery for a life-threatening gunshot wound suffered early Monday morning at his South Miami home, FOXSports.com has learned. Taylor "flatlined" twice during the surgery, the NFL Network reported. Redskins officials are en route to South Florida to visit Taylor. One source said there is a concern Taylor suffered brain damage from the loss of blood and may not survive. "It doesn't look good," the source said. "But he's young, strong and extra healthy. That's what he's got going for him." MoTown 11-26-2007, 10:26 PM I can't believe how bad this is. When I heard "shot in the leg" I just kind of rolled my eyes. This is really serious. Zip Goshboots 11-26-2007, 10:32 PM MSN reporting that he has awakened from the coma. Timone 11-26-2007, 10:39 PM Doctor told him to squeeze his hand if he heard him and he responded by doing so. UxKa 11-26-2007, 11:06 PM Apparantly a week ago someone broke into the house and left a knife (possibly a machete) on his bed. Due to that Sean went back there since he is injured to watch over the house, and they came back for him. Kind of pieced that together from TV and some links. I hope he pulls through OK. I hate the 'Skins with a passion but you have to look past sports in these situations. Hermy 11-27-2007, 07:04 AM dead. Glenn 11-27-2007, 08:37 AM There are some people you just have that feeling that "it's not going to end well for them". Mike Tyson, Ron Artest, etc. 24 years old and set for life (financially). I would not be shocked at all if it comes to light that he knew the culprit. Timone 11-27-2007, 03:58 PM RIP. UxKa 11-27-2007, 04:54 PM http://www.freewebs.com/aj3380/candle.jpg Timone 11-27-2007, 04:55 PM There are some people you just have that feeling that "it's not going to end well for them". Mike Tyson, Ron Artest, etc. Sadly this is true. Tahoe 11-27-2007, 05:18 PM Tough, the guy hasn't been burried yet, but the question has to be asked. Random act of V or someone from his past. If, IF, he did know something was up, the last thing I would do is take my 2 yo baby in the house with me, after the break in last week. ??? RIP Timone 11-27-2007, 06:09 PM Well, I forgot who brought it up in here but someone had left a kitchen knife on his pillow after breaking into his house a week or so ago. UxKa 11-27-2007, 07:38 PM ^^That was me. So much crap swirling yesterday not all was true as I stated, probably could have guessed that. A knife was found in his home after the breakin, somewhere. The machete was his for protection. Timone 11-27-2007, 07:54 PM Yeah, the knife was found on his pillow. Didn't hear anything about a machete for his protection, but the knife being left was confirmed. Tahoe 11-27-2007, 08:03 PM I'm gonna use something in a category of a gun if I think I'm getting broken into. Not a knife or machete. I have a S&W .44mag, but that would shoot right through walls, unless I use ammo that barely makes it to the end of the barrel. I have a 9 and a .357 ready and waiting. Tahoe 11-27-2007, 08:15 PM Sean Taylor's attty just said they strongly believe that the peeps in the incident between Taylor and ??? crew a couple of years ago were involved with this. They have turned over ALL of their records to police. UxKa 11-27-2007, 08:53 PM I'm gonna use something in a category of a gun if I think I'm getting broken into. Not a knife or machete. He was on probation due to the incident you mentioned in your next post so he couldn't legally have a gun. What I think is messed up is that because his life is public, any athlete at that, the media basically advertised 'Hey heres a rich guy who cant own a gun!' Tahoe 11-27-2007, 10:05 PM I never thought about that. Thats messed up. He couldn't really protect his family. Timone 11-28-2007, 04:53 PM I'm sick of ESPN making every goddamn thing about race. Fuck you ESPN. Then they try connecting this with Kurt Cobain? Fuck you again ESPN. Zekyl 11-28-2007, 04:59 PM How in the hell did they try to connect this to Kurt Cobain?! Timone 11-28-2007, 05:00 PM They talked about how Cobain had a drug past and whatnot and how Taylor had a past of his own. Uh, great...except if you believe Kurt actually killed himself. Glenn 11-28-2007, 05:02 PM They talked about how Cobain had a drug past and whatnot and how Taylor had a past of his own. Uh, great...except if you believe Kurt actually killed himself. I'm starting to think that Courtney Love killed Sean Taylor. Timone 11-28-2007, 05:15 PM Because he's black? Zip Goshboots 11-28-2007, 11:58 PM I never thought about that. Thats messed up. He couldn't really protect his family. Anyone who commits a crime of misdemeanor assault or above can't own a gun. Too fucking bad. Protect his family? How many people who have guns to "protect their family" become the victims of their desire to "protect their family"? http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7499442?MSNHPHCP>1=10637 gusman 11-29-2007, 12:03 AM what is the black KKK??? b-diddy 11-29-2007, 12:41 AM jason whitlock used to be the best sports writer in the biz for a brief period (after hunter s thompson died, before whitlock left espn). since he left espn, he has been borderline unreadable, but generally dead on. there is something seriously wrong in society today, and whitlock has dedicated himself towards addressing that. like most issues, whitlock is using taylor's death to address broader themes. right now race seems to be trapped in the right/left paradigm, which might explain why 40 years after A.A. it appears we might be moving backwards. furthermore, i dont think most of america is ready to discuss the race issue at an adult level. b-diddy 11-29-2007, 12:45 AM incidentally, it was trivia night at the bar and one of thte team's names was "sean taylor... doubtful for sunday". Fool 11-29-2007, 08:15 AM That's very quality. Black Dynamite 12-02-2007, 12:28 PM I would not be shocked at all if it comes to light that he knew the culprit. But it would be fairly premature to lean that way. The way he was shot and killed is a lil' awkward. Hard to say what the background is outside of robbery. Also i didnt know he was dating Andy Garcia's niece. UxKa 12-02-2007, 12:35 PM Apparantly the guy who shot him (Rivera) did yardwork and some other odd jobs around the house for extra cash. They say they didn't expect him to be home when they broke in. Technically they shot in the direction of his gf and baby which is pretty fucked up. Rivera: http://i.l.cnn.net/cnn/2007/US/12/01/sean.taylor/art.rivera.wbbh.jpg Black Dynamite 12-02-2007, 12:39 PM Good deed not going unpunished. Way of the ironic country that is america. |
