We can send a man to the moon but can't seem to figure out where our aid goes. Brilliant!

WASHINGTON — A federal agency that disburses billions of dollars in humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and pro-democracy programs every year, has inadvertently funneled American taxpayer funds to individuals and entities with "terrorist affiliations" and lacks the safeguards to prevent such incidents from recurring, an internal audit has revealed.

A few paragraphs later

The audit was triggered this spring, after gun battles at Islamic University in Gaza pitted Fatah forces, loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, against their rival, Hamas, which controls the university and has been designated a terrorist group by the United States. After the shooting stopped, Fatah displayed large caches of weapons recovered from inside the university, and the Washington Times reported the school had received more than $140,000 in USAID funding.

"In the basement of Gaza Islamic University, a U.S.-funded institution," said Rep. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., who sits on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and requested the audit, "Palestinian police found several Iranian agents and an Iranian general teaching the students in the U.S.-funded chemistry lab how to make suicide bombs."

Well, Tahoe, we have been told for years that we need Bush to root out terrrorooorororrrrism. Maybe this is a secret ploy to get them to expose themselves!

While we are bashing Bush, I read a story about those Border Guards that the Feds threw in a Fed Max prison for 10 years(?). Everyone has said this is a travesmochery or whatever that word is. So the illegal guy that the border guards shot(while they other guy was shooting at them) was given full immunity by this douche bag to testify against the guards. While waiting for court to testify, he went back to Mexico and was busted for bringing in another couple of bundles of Marijuana. So the Gov't covered it up.

Everyone wants these guys pardoned but Bush won't do it. Why? More Bush croneyism. This was one of his better friends in college or something. The Republican Senators are going to bring this thing to a head next week, iirc, going directly to Bush.

It's difficult when it comes to Hamas. They build hospitals and schools, and our preferred alternative was Arafat's croneyism. They probably would've taken that aid money and lined their pockets. Is that really any better?

If they have no bombs, what threat are they?

EDIT: People wonder why we hold our government people to a higher standard than we do criminals and terrorists. It's because they're not criminals and terrorists. Their behavior is obviously examined more critically than you would just any old clownboat with a gun, because they're Americans, and if Americans aren't doing everything to a very high standard, we might as well be doing nothing at all.

It had a few more-damaging details than the Fox story. I didn't think you had to sign up for it. I just clicked and the article came up.

"This" above refers to the prosecutor in this case, a guy named Johnny Sutton, who's in the same circle of croneys as Alberto Gonzales.

I don't get how a prosecutor who targets cops survives in west Texas.

Sutton, thats the prick.

Well a couple of these cocksuckers need to go to jail. They withheld evidence in the case. Thats obstruction of justice in my book. I'm sure it would be like a Nifong type situation, not a federal pound me in the ass prison.

These fucking prosecutors who think they know what info comes and goes is one of the biggest threats to mankind. Well, that might be overstating it, but they are cocksuckers.

Agreed. Any prosector who knowingly witholds evidence of a suspects innocense should do time. There is no worse crime than to use the force of society in broad stroke.
