My last CMU/WMU matchup as a college man, and its on a freakin Tuesday.

Bending over backwards so that it can be on ESPN2 and no one will watch it.

Gotta love it.

Western Rocks....Central Sucks....

Is Dan LeFevour still the QB for the Chipps??? I remember I heard somebody say last year that he has NFL potential...

Thought that was an interesting nugget

He's a sophomore this year. He was a true freshman last year and played very well.

CMU was awesome last year, anytime a school like that produces 3 NFL players (even though Mormino and Bazuin were placed on IR prior to the season starting)...you know your a good MAC school

LeFevour is a redshirt sophomore actually Chris, but he is extremely impressive. I think he'll get some "Big Ben" type hype going into next year possibly. There have been many good QB's coming out of the MAC in the last 10 years and someone will pick up the Dan LeFevour story for sure.

He's very mobile too. He has like 600 yards rushing this year. I'm not sure how he'll measure out in the combine though.

Who cares about the game, biggest party ever when these schools get together.

Simmons just got ejected, whomever Simmons is. I guess their best offensive weapon.

I knew sooner or later, at some point in time in the future, that the Chips would get a TD.

WMU just came back and scored. Tie game at 17

That turned out to be a great game to watch. 2 td in 33 secs for WMU to take the lead. And prolly win it.

CMU ends up coming back with another TD to take the lead and win it. 34-31.

This game ended up being exciting as hell, imo.

The Chips MAC Champs!

I saw the last play...WMU made it exciting, got off about 8 laterals before f-ing it up...

Nice job Chipps!

Suck it Broncos. That was an entertaining game. Stupid play call when Lefevor fumbled the ball and gave the Broncos the go ahead score. Why not run the ball and kill the clock?

I was nervous on that last play, they got pretty close really.

Broncos fans might be mad about the Central TD, but the play before was a TD and the refs F'd it up. The refs were not good in general really.

Agree the play before was a TD. CMU is in Mount Pleasant just outside Midland Mich. I have a tenuous connection. Go Chips

The play that had me shaking my head was when WMU received the kickoff after the last score with 18secs left(?) and he ran the ball almost to midfield. He should have went down instead of the lateral which lost him 20 yards? I mean almost to midfield, with 12+ secs left, your QB only needs a 20-30 yd play for a fg to tie the game. Not sure why coach put in the lateral there. Understood with 2 secs left but not the play before.

I didn't understand that either. I also don't understand the 3 man rush on hail mary plays either. teams do that all the time. Why not send 4-5 guys? Then they never get the chance to throw it 60 yards. At most you have 5 guys in pass routes, so you can drop 6-7 guys back still and should be able to cover those guys long enough for the pressure to get there.

Our QB doesnt have a good arm...anything over 15 yards is a huuuuge stretch. Good game....pretty shitty we lost my senior year...but so it goes.

I will say however that anyone thats been to this game knows its more about the pre-post parties than the game itself.

This turned out to be a pretty good game. The refs were bad overall, some pathetic calls. I'm a Central student and I laughed on the last pass interference call that might have cost WMU the game. We got bailed out on that one for sure. I wish I could've been there, stupid ass Tuesday game. Yeah, we got to be on ESPN 2 but how much exposure did we really get? YOu wouldn't have even known there was a game played that night by looking at ESPNs website. Nothing on Sportscenter either. They didn't care about the game. The fans and students do. Fuck ESPN, and play on the weekend or even Thursday.

Yet none of them can dominate like Greg Jennings did the lions on Thursday. I dont know if i should brag or be sad.

Also Broncos took down #25 Davidson in basketball....woohoo topa the MAC baby!
