This one was a tough call. I think Pacino got the nod based on two roles: Michael Corleone and Scarface.
Not enough to overcome Connery's body of work, IMO; but you really can't argue because Pacino is definitely a presence, and I don;t think he has turned into a buffoon like someone said earlier. Tough matchup.
