If I could find video of Cash performing the song "13" written for him by Glenn Danzig, that would cinch this.

On a related note, Rick Rubin might have been another good addition to the field.

both of these guys are dylan bootlicks, but i guess i'll go with lennon.

you could make an argument that lennon was a bit of a hypocrite, a bit pretentious, and a bit of a follower who flagrantly wanted to lead. which would all be true, imo. on the other hand, unlike 99 % of people who share those traits (which is pretty much everyone) lennon was strong enough to acknowledge these faults and earnestly try to correct them.

i love people who honestly try to fight their inner demons. plus jauqim phoenix and reese witherspoon didnt piss on his grave yet.
