Hitchcock was great, but kissing the asses of pretentious actors until they do what you want is not exactly cool. Kerouac was kind of creepy, but he was a lot cooler.

That's way cool. I'm voting for him.
I was never a Kerouac or Hitchcock fan, but I love horror and Hitchcock was way ahead of his time. I also thought Kerouac was more famous than he really is... a couple days ago some game show was on TV, the question was "Who wrote 'On the Road'" and I was the only one who knew the answer let alone knew who Kerouac even was. I never read the whole book either, got bored after a bit.
