Is anyone paying any attention to the Wings? I've only seen a few games but they've looked pretty damn good from what I've seen. Hank is leading the league in points and the line of Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom has been dominant.

I would love to, but only get a game a month, if I'm lucky.

Go Wings!

I haven't seen em yet. There have been two games on TV here but I had to be places both times. Either way go Wings!

What's not to like here? If it wasn't for two games against Chicago where they let them back in, we would be a one loss team. Oh, and let's not even forget Hank. He's on a 13 game point streak. That's funny...we've only played 13 games. That fucker is the wind beath my mother fuckin' wings.

I know that hocky is the red-headed step child of this site, but if you want to see great hockey, check 'em out.

I've been watching... they've looked great so far, with the exception of the Chicago games, where they looked like a different team.

Yeah...I was at that last one. It was 2-0 Wings when I got up to get a beer. When I came back it was 2-2. I know they can't win 'em all, but they need to beat THAT team.

How can hockey be the red headed step child when Detroit is Hockeytown?

It was a sad day when ESPN dumped the NHL or whatever happened.

Hank has been destroying the league. He is unquestionably our second best player behind Lidstrom.

Hank is on my fantasy team because I knew he'd tear it up. Now if I could only get Pavel to go along with Nick and Rafalski (who I already have), all those power play points would be mine...

Interesting fact:

The Wings have outshot their opponents in every single game this year except one, in which Chicago outshot them 27-26.

I like the way the season is going so far.

Some jerkoff for ESPN said Detroit should step down as hockey town and it should go to Minnesota. Said Detroit wouldn't even be his #2 option, it would be Buffalo. Not 100% sure he was for ESPN, but he was with one of the big sports coverage groups. Unfortunately, I didn't actually get to read the article, had a friend tell me about it.

Too many people from the media are way too concerned about the label of Hockeytown.

Get over it.

Well considering they don't even sell out their home playoff games...

Because Illitch has poor economic thought, it's obvious the NHL isn't as "popular" as it once was, but w/ the prices, you'd never know that there was even a strike...
