View Full Version : Hello?
Zekyl 10-15-2007, 11:50 AM Is anyone paying any attention to the Wings? I've only seen a few games but they've looked pretty damn good from what I've seen. Hank is leading the league in points and the line of Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom has been dominant.
Tahoe 10-15-2007, 01:44 PM I would love to, but only get a game a month, if I'm lucky.
Go Wings!

Also, nobody will probably get this.

I don't know how to thank you guys, but let me start by saying...
I love you
Tahoe 10-15-2007, 09:17 PM Maybe this will help you out Zek...

LOL @Chevalde(sp?) joining the fight. You know dude was already at center ice when the fight broke out. Kid never stayed in the net.
Zekyl 10-16-2007, 10:00 AM Never saw that goalie fight before...
"Chevelde not quite the same type of athlete as Joseph" - You think?
Timone 10-16-2007, 12:21 PM Hey, the NHL forum is alive and kicking after all!
Let's party!

I haven't seen em yet. There have been two games on TV here but I had to be places both times. Either way go Wings!

What's not to like here? If it wasn't for two games against Chicago where they let them back in, we would be a one loss team. Oh, and let's not even forget Hank. He's on a 13 game point streak. That's funny...we've only played 13 games. That fucker is the wind beath my mother fuckin' wings.
I know that hocky is the red-headed step child of this site, but if you want to see great hockey, check 'em out.
MoTown 10-31-2007, 10:27 AM I've been watching... they've looked great so far, with the exception of the Chicago games, where they looked like a different team.
Shugadaddi 10-31-2007, 01:47 PM Yeah...I was at that last one. It was 2-0 Wings when I got up to get a beer. When I came back it was 2-2. I know they can't win 'em all, but they need to beat THAT team.
MoTown 10-31-2007, 02:15 PM Lang was on a mission.
Zip Goshboots 10-31-2007, 10:32 PM How can hockey be the red headed step child when Detroit is Hockeytown?
Tahoe 10-31-2007, 10:43 PM It was a sad day when ESPN dumped the NHL or whatever happened.
Zekyl 11-01-2007, 04:58 PM Hank has been destroying the league. He is unquestionably our second best player behind Lidstrom.
WTFchris 11-01-2007, 05:04 PM Hank has been destroying the league. He is unquestionably our second best player behind Lidstrom.
Hank is on my fantasy team because I knew he'd tear it up. Now if I could only get Pavel to go along with Nick and Rafalski (who I already have), all those power play points would be mine...
MoTown 11-01-2007, 05:10 PM Interesting fact:
The Wings have outshot their opponents in every single game this year except one, in which Chicago outshot them 27-26.
I like the way the season is going so far.
Timone 11-02-2007, 10:30 PM Try to stay on topic guys
all night long...all night...
Wilfredo Ledezma 11-06-2007, 12:43 PM You'd never know the top team in the NHL plays in Wayne County...
Timone 11-06-2007, 01:32 PM Is that a knock on Wayne County? I live in that county!
Wilfredo Ledezma 11-06-2007, 02:05 PM not at all, wayne county is everybody's backyard, and they have the best team in the NHL, and you wouldn't even know it...
i live in macomb co btw...
Zekyl 11-07-2007, 09:58 AM Some jerkoff for ESPN said Detroit should step down as hockey town and it should go to Minnesota. Said Detroit wouldn't even be his #2 option, it would be Buffalo. Not 100% sure he was for ESPN, but he was with one of the big sports coverage groups. Unfortunately, I didn't actually get to read the article, had a friend tell me about it.
MoTown 11-07-2007, 10:20 AM Too many people from the media are way too concerned about the label of Hockeytown.
Get over it.
Timone 11-07-2007, 01:15 PM Well considering they don't even sell out their home playoff games...
Wilfredo Ledezma 11-07-2007, 01:52 PM Well considering they don't even sell out their home playoff games...
Because Illitch has poor economic thought, it's obvious the NHL isn't as "popular" as it once was, but w/ the prices, you'd never know that there was even a strike...
