I thought we got rid of Flip Murray. Damn

God damn, Flip Murray isn't even worth his shoe budget. He sucks.

Flip will go for 28 maybe twice this year and act like thats his normal game. The rest of the time, he'll suck eggs.

i just saw Rip and Max run and alley-oop play that Rip/Ben used to run. i missed that play.

I'm lagging a lil (Tivo), but I'm a lil disapointed that we are taking a bunch of outside jumpers instead of dominating, or attempting to, the middle. Their 3 best players are out and we're taking jumpers. At least thats how its appearing to me watching it the game in spurts.

Friggin Jarvis Hayes unstopable with 16 pts in the 2nd quarter. We don't need 16 a quarter from him, but some consistent offense would be nice off the bench.

GB and GK were saying he was looking at this opportunity as a new start. Go for it Jarvis.

Stuckey is skillful as fuck. But he has to get his decision making together. Much like Billups did when he first got into the league. But he's gonna be a an immediate impact just on dribble penetration alone.

Maxiell finished with 11 rebs. I think he's still a little bit away from playing on instinct and sensing where he should be to get the board or block (much like Ben was). right now he's spending a split second making sure he's in the correct position and i think that hurts his rebounding. but i really did like he tenacity on the board tonight.

wow, jarvis hayes looked like Vinny Johnson out there tonight. dude's a flat out scorer. inside and outside. he seems comfortable catching the ball in the post and exploding to the rim. that dimension is going to be huge for us off the bench.

how about stuckey taking it hard to the rack and nearly throwing down a monster dunk on steven hunter??

i've got this weird love affair with afflalo's game......i'm convinced he's going to the be that intangible guy who does all the little things to get the team wins.

oh yeah, and how about Max hitting those clutch FT's to ice the game?

I'm really happy with Maxiell tonight. At the very least, he's a million miles ahead of Flip Saunders in the "adjusting your strategy when it ain't getting the job done" department.

Yeah, looks like Dumars lit a fire under Maxiell. He probably didn't want to lose his PT to Nazr. I'm pleased that he was able to get back to basics and pull down some defensive boards. If he can do that consistently, we might be able to play him in tandem with Amir.

What's the next preseason game and when? I talk shit about the preseason all the time, but I love basketball too much.

The preseason is retarded, but it does give you an opportunity to see the Pistons play.

I caught a bit of this game on the late night replay. Hayes looked unstoppable on offense. Every time he took a shot I felt confident it was going to drop. Hunter actually looked like he had a bit of an offensive game. I still don't want him to play much this season, but if he keeps playing like that I'll feel a little more at ease when he's in there.

I think Flip has a long way to go to get the bench to playing close so there isn't a big drop off in play when they come in.
