View Full Version : OGT Nuggets vs Pistons 10/14 Tahoe 10-14-2007, 06:02 PM Go Pistons! Tahoe 10-14-2007, 06:12 PM AI, Carmelo and KMart out. Timone 10-14-2007, 06:18 PM It on TV? Tahoe 10-14-2007, 06:25 PM Its on 752 here. George Blaha and Gregory Kelser Tahoe 10-14-2007, 06:26 PM I thought we got rid of Flip Murray. Damn Big Swami 10-14-2007, 06:27 PM God damn, Flip Murray isn't even worth his shoe budget. He sucks. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 07:02 PM Flip will go for 28 maybe twice this year and act like thats his normal game. The rest of the time, he'll suck eggs. Matt 10-14-2007, 07:11 PM sweet! it's on TV! i just saw Rip and Max run and alley-oop play that Rip/Ben used to run. i missed that play. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 07:15 PM I'm lagging a lil (Tivo), but I'm a lil disapointed that we are taking a bunch of outside jumpers instead of dominating, or attempting to, the middle. Their 3 best players are out and we're taking jumpers. At least thats how its appearing to me watching it the game in spurts. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 07:16 PM Just saw the Alley oop, it was sweet. And Max with a nice board. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 07:22 PM Friggin Jarvis Hayes unstopable with 16 pts in the 2nd quarter. We don't need 16 a quarter from him, but some consistent offense would be nice off the bench. GB and GK were saying he was looking at this opportunity as a new start. Go for it Jarvis. Fool 10-14-2007, 07:53 PM Um, Stuckey go hard or go home. Uncle Mxy 10-14-2007, 08:32 PM Rip didn't take a shot... cool. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 08:34 PM Did they say if they were going to xray it? It looked bad, but not busted up bad. Hermy 10-14-2007, 08:39 PM They did x-ray. all good. Tahoe 10-14-2007, 08:43 PM Thx Herm. Good win but we should have spanked them with CA, AI and KM out. There's more to preseason games than getting a huge win, I guess. Black Dynamite 10-14-2007, 08:56 PM Stuckey is skillful as fuck. But he has to get his decision making together. Much like Billups did when he first got into the league. But he's gonna be a an immediate impact just on dribble penetration alone. Matt 10-14-2007, 09:01 PM Maxiell finished with 11 rebs. I think he's still a little bit away from playing on instinct and sensing where he should be to get the board or block (much like Ben was). right now he's spending a split second making sure he's in the correct position and i think that hurts his rebounding. but i really did like he tenacity on the board tonight. wow, jarvis hayes looked like Vinny Johnson out there tonight. dude's a flat out scorer. inside and outside. he seems comfortable catching the ball in the post and exploding to the rim. that dimension is going to be huge for us off the bench. how about stuckey taking it hard to the rack and nearly throwing down a monster dunk on steven hunter?? i've got this weird love affair with afflalo's game......i'm convinced he's going to the be that intangible guy who does all the little things to get the team wins. Matt 10-14-2007, 09:03 PM oh yeah, and how about Max hitting those clutch FT's to ice the game? Big Swami 10-14-2007, 10:08 PM I'm really happy with Maxiell tonight. At the very least, he's a million miles ahead of Flip Saunders in the "adjusting your strategy when it ain't getting the job done" department. Atticus771 10-14-2007, 11:19 PM Yeah, looks like Dumars lit a fire under Maxiell. He probably didn't want to lose his PT to Nazr. I'm pleased that he was able to get back to basics and pull down some defensive boards. If he can do that consistently, we might be able to play him in tandem with Amir. Timone 10-15-2007, 01:09 AM What's the next preseason game and when? I talk shit about the preseason all the time, but I love basketball too much. Big Swami 10-15-2007, 08:57 AM The preseason is retarded, but it does give you an opportunity to see the Pistons play. Zekyl 10-15-2007, 12:01 PM I caught a bit of this game on the late night replay. Hayes looked unstoppable on offense. Every time he took a shot I felt confident it was going to drop. Hunter actually looked like he had a bit of an offensive game. I still don't want him to play much this season, but if he keeps playing like that I'll feel a little more at ease when he's in there. Tahoe 10-15-2007, 03:12 PM I think Flip has a long way to go to get the bench to playing close so there isn't a big drop off in play when they come in. Uncle Mxy 10-15-2007, 04:20 PM In examining game footage of Maxiell, I think I understand why he might have problems rebounding: http://wtfdetroit.com/pics/madmax_rock.jpg |
