View Full Version : OGT: Homecoming game 2007: Purdue at UM
b-diddy 10-13-2007, 02:11 PM the offense is alive, i havent been scoreboard watching but i have a suspicion that UM sneaks back into the top 25 this week.
mike hart's first td run is definitly a top 10 candidate.

Did you wait to see if they'd win before starting a thread? Looks like that was the case. Here it is football season, you get 12 games for the YEAR in your sport, yet you didn't have an OGT until halftime. Either my theory is correct or you're too busy spewing terrordome bullshit to actually discuss your team's upcoming game. I'd think if State's #1 sport was fball, I'd have an OGT on Sunday.
b-diddy 10-13-2007, 02:22 PM speaking of "terrordome bullshit"...
Tahoe 10-13-2007, 02:29 PM I was going to ask Tre if he'd consider decaf this morning, but I think this morning Tre's all "Fuck water, I'm eating coffee dry"
Tahoe 10-13-2007, 02:42 PM 41-7. Next!
Zip Goshboots 10-13-2007, 03:40 PM It's basketball season. Tre found his balls under the bed again.

I would just like to commend Tre's classy posting style, as exhibited in the above post. Once again, Tre shows his unique ability to not bring himself down to other posters. If all posters were like Tre, there would be no need for silly things such as a Terrordome. Alas, we all can't achieve the brilliance Tre exhibits on a day-to-day basis. He truly is the Micheal Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth, and Muhammad Ali of message board posters.
I think we, as WTFDetroit posters, need to spend more time praising Tre. We are truly in the presence of excellence.
shags 10-13-2007, 04:11 PM Now, on to the game. Michigan looked GREAT. Easily their best game of the year. If it weren't for a fumble at their own 5 yard line, it may have been 48-0 before those last two meaningless touchdowns. Offense executed well, and Purdue's spread wasn't effective at all (neutralized with blitzing).
The biggest worry is that Hart went down due to injury (again). Hopefully he's back next week. Minor's injury looked much more serious. They're new kicker is also infinitely better than Gingell, so it may not cost them a game.
Tied for 1st in the Big Ten. We'll see what happens next week against Illinois.

with basketball starting up, and state's third loss in a row tonight, fanshaw will probably be taking a long vacation from posting in football threads. and since i wont pay too much attention to bball, i guess i wont have too many more opportunities to call you a dancing bear.

LOL!!!!!!!!! ANOTHER CLASSIC UMer LINE! "I DON'T CARE ABOUT BASKETBALL" "I'LL PRETEND I DON'T CARE AND DON'T PAY ATTENTION SO I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH MY TEAM SUCKING ASS AND HEARING ABOUT IT.
Not so fast my friend on football season. I stand by my prediction of 7 wins and I believe in my team. In good times and in bad. How could you ever question a MSU fan and their stick-to-itivness? We know all about trudging through rough football times. I just hope you are man enough to eat your words if you are wrong about MSU.
HipDigIt 10-13-2007, 05:18 PM I agree.
I like Tre. Besides he's got the Gasbags number. Fuck when I came on this site I didn't realize this was the Official Blue&Yellow outlet for flexing their muscles that command a 4-state region. Yowza!! Impressive.
HipDigIt 10-13-2007, 05:22 PM ...is that after Appleatin' State and then the Quack Attack it was all "MAN THE FUCKING LIFEBOATS." Now 5 wins in a row over a bunch of fucking cadavers it's "ALL ABOARD!!!" A true laugh riot. Sociologists should study this shit. Pretty interesting.
b-diddy 10-13-2007, 05:23 PM woops, ment to say pay attention to basketball for a few months. my bad again.
b-diddy 10-13-2007, 05:24 PM who's on board that jumped off after the asu or oregon losses?
Zip Goshboots 10-13-2007, 05:31 PM Sorry Hip: This is the wrong board to look for bandwaggoners. The UM fans on here have been self deprecating, but not wavering in support of UM.
Your fight is with the Lackeys on the other board who are all borderline manic depressives to start with.
UM fans who support UM are gasbags, and MSU fans are sumpin' special because they bandwaggon for their basketball team and support their pathetic football program. I get that.
But here, no one jumped ship, unless they'd given up on Lloyd years ago. That won't sell here.
But, you DO have the Sparties yapping at the heels of Michigan fans, talking shit about football, a sport they've proved their worthlessness in.

I haven't seen one post from an MSU rooter here that said they were going to be all that. I'm the biggest offender because I bet you a book that MSU would go bowling. Bowling can be 6 wins. BFD. Wait...that IS a BFD when you root for MSU.
Balkan 10-13-2007, 05:48 PM Let me interject here and ask a question. I heard Mike Hart and the second-string RB was hurt during this game. Any knews on how bad the injury is?
b-diddy 10-13-2007, 05:57 PM hart was walking w/o a limp in the 4th qrter.

I was really thinking of the Big 10 dealio on the other site. This place is such a blue gush pile I scroll more than anything. Hey and "write on" That's what these things are for. I'm just not that much of an A2 fan as I missed the long arm of Bo/Canham in the formative years. I got out alive.
Anyway, my bad, I wouldn't really know if anyone went overboard here. I take it all back.

I'd suggest that peeps read this again, and read it slowly cuz every line is spot on.
Glenn 10-13-2007, 09:02 PM Well, about the game...
UM showed that they have the ability to handle a spread offense (albeit a spread offense with an overwhelming lack of talent).
Now let's beat a mobile QB from a good team and then we can start talking about something productive coming from the season after all.
JickBoy34 10-14-2007, 12:19 AM Fuck this bullshit...I need a break, I'm out of here...
Baker 10-14-2007, 01:56 AM Posted after Diddy claimed MSU had their 3rd loss coming tonight:

Diddy?
b-diddy 10-14-2007, 08:52 AM wow, and completely coincidentally, look who didnt need to go into hiding this weekend.
sorry, no congrats to you. not how it works.

RIGHT ON, diddy.
About the game: I have only the final score to judge it by: at one point it's 48-7. The final is inconsequential, but surely that means something to many who thought UM would lose this game.
I'm going to give some credence to having to break in nine new defensive starters, but you-know-who down in Columbus did the same thing last year and didn;t lose a regular season game. So now the Defense is rounding into better shape.
But, aside from the fact that Henne missed two games with the injury, how do you explain the offensive woes the first two games?
Well, 9-3 is looking more and more like a realistic expectation, and that should be followed up by another Outback or Citrus Bowl.

Diddy talks a bunch of shit and isn't man enough to admit he was wrong. Just more high character stuff. As you repeatedly claim I hide, you can't back it. You can see by my posts in the gaming forum I was here all week. I was also here on the NCAA board on like wed-thurs. Is there some sort of deadline in which I have to post by following a loss. The week following isn't soon enough for you? It's not like I waited until another victory, I was here a few days after a loss!!!!!! Do you know how studid you sound. Posting after a loss the following week is no longer good enough, if you don't post immediately after-you're hiding. What a bunch of BS! Face it Diddy, you talked a bunch of shit, weren't man enough to admit you were dead wrong AGAIN, and followed it with lies about hiding. Pussy.
b-diddy 10-14-2007, 12:29 PM offense and defense are tied together. if one side suddenly is much worse, the other side often struggles too.
last year the d was giving us great field position, and wasnt giving up endlessly long drives. kinda throws your offense out of rhythm dealing with that.
not a complete pass, cuzz we certainly werent prepared the first two games, but i think its an element.
