DualShock 3

Announced at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, the DualShock 3 is a controller for the PlayStation 3 that incorporates the features and design of the SIXAXIS wireless controller with vibration capabilities. It is scheduled for release in Japan in November 2007 as a separately sold accessory. The controller is expected to debut in North America and Europe in Spring 2008.[3] Hands-on accounts at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show describe the controller as being heavier than the standard Sixaxis controller, and capable of vibration forces comparable to the DualShock 2. According to GameSpot, DualShock 3's "rumble was a touch weak";[4] while various others reported more refined vibration effects than the DualShock 2, particularly with the Metal Gear Solid 4 demonstration.[5] The DualShock 3 is said to have very precise vibrations centered around the two analog sticks.[citation needed] There will also be vibration volumes.[citation needed] This means the vibration strength will vary, so if you're shooting a gun, you will feel a more subtle vibration than if a grenade were to go off right by your ear.[citation needed] The controller itself will have SIXAXIS and DUALSHOCK 3 written where the SIXAXIS name is written now. SIXAXIS will be on top with DUALSHOCK 3 on the bottom.

Yea because they were superior and advanced beyond Sony technology. It had nothing to do with the lawsuit Sony lost to the originators of the rumble. I mean the red rings of death thing is a myth started by the Sony Liberal Media.

lol...I'm grabbing mines this winter. Grabbed a 30 inch hdtv for the bed room, so might as well get a next gen system sooner rather than wait for mgs4 like i originally planned. I still wished that 360 and ps3 both had better libraries though.

Okay, I know we've had our debate...but the 360 library right now is top notch! I can't even keep up honestly. I'm trying to get the best games, but it is difficult to get through them in time to get what is out there. You could go out and get Ghost Recon, Gears of War, Forza Motorsport 2, Halo 3, Bioshock, and just be overwhelmed like never before. If you aren't satisfied with their library, I'm guessing you haven't played those games listed above.

Played them all. I admire your "never say die" attempts to assume things no matter how many times you end up in left field. Of course it'll take too long to correct you on every one of your assumptions.

Ghost Recon-sucked again. But i've never liked the ghost recon games, in fact outside splinter cell, i hate most tom clancy games. Though that vegas rainbow six was pretty good to my surprise.
Halo 3- Decent game for an FPS, but i'm not much of an FPS guy. Kinda like Madden it didnt really dare to take any gambles beyond halo 2.
Forza MotorSport 2- looks nice. In fact its a solid racing game. Doesnt blow me away, but its not bad either.
Bioshock- as a FPS, it played better than Halo 3. Doesnt have the multiplayer magic that Halo has going for it, but as far as 1 player FPS goes, it felt better.
Gears of War-Another FPS(even you can see this pattern). Didnt play it long. But I liked it. Not enough to care if i never play it again though, but it was cool. The guns were pretty fresh.

So yea i must be crazy to not be going crazy over the great batch of FPS games dominating 360's market. Or maybe I like different genres of games. Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, Heavenly Sword (played it, liked it overall, takes a minute to get used to the combos), MGS4, Socom, is more variety in the exclusive market. One thing I'll give sony credit for is that they and publish make great variated games on their own. 360 has yet to show me exclusive games of the quality of Halo in other genres. I've waited forever for them to, and they've never showed up. As far as the library goes, every game worth playing in their 3rd party library that isnt FPS will be on ps3.

I think 360 is a great system if you like FPS games. they do them better than anyone. They should since Microsoft PC is the original FPS home. But outside of that its still cool. But not blowing PS3 away.

Now with all that said would you please stop derailing every thread involving ps3 with your 360 cyber vendetta. I get it, you love 360. good for you. If you're trying to convert anyone, you suck at it. Even if you didnt its a lost cause trying to change peoples minds. Nobody is on the fence anymore. And if they were, your abrasive behavior probably pushed them closer to PS3.
