View Full Version : The Lions, The Spartans, The Wolverines
Glenn 09-26-2007, 12:40 PM Which football team wins more games this season?
Include possible playoffs/bowl wins (lol)
Since this poll is 2/3 about college sports, the NCAA forum seemed like the best fit.
Another topic stolen from bad sports radio hosts.
WTFchris 09-26-2007, 12:42 PM Good question. I put the Lions at 7-8 wins. MSU about the same. Michigan should win 8-9 IMO.
I guess my answer is Michigan, but I think they'll all be within 1-2 games of each other.
I didn't include post season in those numbers. I doubt the Lions make it. Each could have a Bowl win to add a win.
Glenn 09-26-2007, 12:44 PM If someone wants to post the schedules for all 3 teams, go ahead.
I've done my part.
Zip Goshboots 09-26-2007, 01:17 PM Michigans' Schedule:
Michigan State
Wisconsin
Ohio State
Artermis 09-26-2007, 02:58 PM Zip the hardest game for UM left is going to be Illinois.
Zip Goshboots 09-26-2007, 03:46 PM I'm not buying Illinois. I have a hard time believing they are getting their doody together so quickly. Also, I don't buy their spread offense either. I predict UM will kick their ass.
bball11 09-26-2007, 04:00 PM Ohio State always kicks Michigan's ass, as long as the Lloyd regime continues.
Balkan 09-26-2007, 08:48 PM With the Big Ten playing like it is, this might be appropriate.

b-diddy 09-26-2007, 11:25 PM its so cute how sparty always lets his head go streight to the clouds when the beat up anyone, and i do mean ANYONE.
just last week im pretty sure ND was called glorified highschool team, but then state plays them and suddenly theyre trying extremely hard to win. LOL.
buckdow didnt even go to notre dame.
b-diddy 09-26-2007, 11:26 PM jim tressel has no place in this thread, and calling him a badass is cogently out of line.
WTFchris 09-27-2007, 09:18 AM I hate how NCAA threads always turn into trash talking. I thought this thread would certainly remain logical, but no.
Wizzle 09-27-2007, 10:22 AM Agree....the NCAA forum is starting to suck
The OGT's are not even about the game and it is the same posts in every thread
Zip Goshboots 09-27-2007, 10:27 AM NCAA Threads trashtalking? NOooooooo! Who would have EVER thought that?
Part of being a college football fan is rankling everybody else, especially when you have big "rivalries", you know, the THING that makes college football a little bit more special than the Bills Vs Seahawks in November?
Wizzle 09-27-2007, 10:40 AM Zip, I get trash talking. I realize that a large part of NCAA is trash talking and I love most of your stuff.........but you gotta see how it is kind of getting out of control. I mean, there are specific threads for trash talking so why can't it stay in there? How many different ways to you need to prove that your blue dick is bigger than that guy's green dick? This is why we have lost great posters like Tommy Z.
Zip Goshboots 09-27-2007, 10:48 AM TommyZruns his own web site, and all he talks is recruiting. Great stuff, but he's got his niche and isn't really interested in anything else. Fine by me.
But really, what exactly is "out of hand"? There are seven days in between games, and if comparing penises bugs you, how many times can you say, "Mike Hart rushed 44 times for 154 yards"? How many ways can you dissect a 14-9 sleeper or a 31-14 Sparty victory over an extremely focused in trying to win Notre Dame team?
Actually, it's turned into quite a bit of fun with all the wardrobe choices we've seen, the new vernacular being coined daily, and some other cogent and funny stuff.
This is an excercise in creativity and FUN! Join in!
WTFchris 09-27-2007, 10:57 AM The point of this thread was to discuss who wins more games this year. I answered the question, and you sort of did Zip. Everyone else just interjected stupid trash talking like "Ohio State owns Michigan" or the "Spartans are taking over the big ten" or other off topic comments. Not one person listed the wins they think each team will get. That's the crap I'm sick of. NOT ONE PERSON could even post about the topic in the first post. This thread isn't about Tressel vs Michigan, MSU vs U of M, etc. It's about who will win more games against their ENTIRE schedule of opponents.
But every thread on the NCAA forum degrades into U of M vs MSU. Reading is fundamental people.

MSU 7+1= 8
UM 8+1= 9
I really didn't want to vote for UM because I just don't think they're very good this year, but there it is.
Maybe I should have added GVSU for Herm, they might have won this.
Hermy 09-27-2007, 11:55 AM Lions 5

Well duh. They won't lose during the season, and they have a real playoff. You could combine most people's preseason predictions for the Lions and State and it wouldn't top them.

Reading may be fundamental, but it ain't a box we trap ourselves in.
