I believe MSU will win soundly. I think the combination of running the ball and playing attacking tough defense will be too much for ND. Only thing that worries me is the emotional aspect of the rivalry.

I don't have a freaking clue on the Michigan game. I could see it going either way. I believe Penn State is the better team though. However, Michigan owns them. The fact that Penn State is leading the nation in run defense really stands out to me. Their special teams might be the difference in the end because they are very very good in this area. I'll say Penn State wins on a huge special teams play.

Yeah, I think MSU handles ND, too. ND will come out jacked to the moon, but you can`t play on emotion the whole game. MSU`s pound it out running game and aggressive defense will wear down ND. Everyone and their brother is trying to find a way for Jabba and his jackass team to win this game. MSU just needs to go down there and execute and kick ND`s ass like they should.

PSU`s run defense is why I think they will win the game. UM and Mouth Hart will be effective, but not enough to control the clock and the game. UM`s pass defense will be tested too. Also, as you say, PSU`s special teams are very good whereas UM`s has shown some vulnerability. UM wants this game bad, but I think PSU is just a much more well-rounded, sound football team.

I'll be very impressed if PSU holds UM to 13, I'd love to see it. It could happen if they shut down the run/Mouth.

ND takes a quick 7-0 lead but MSU goes on to win big, 38-13.

UM loses to PSU by 5-7 points in the last 2 minutes of the game.

I sense a Michigan upset here. Hart roars for a buck fitty, and the dual threat of Henne/taller Henne gets it done.
I'm with Hip in that UM's defense might feast on Morelli, and I think, as hard as this may seem to grasp, that Lloyd is in JoePa's head.

In all fairness, they don't wear anything close to maize anymore. It's more like velocity yellow. It's like the tint is on overdrive.

Totally agree! It sucks, I love the split. And I can't stand waiting for 3:30 BTW. I'm hating it right now as I stare at 4 and a 1/2 hours til gametime. yuck

I was just complaining to the wife about waiting til 12:30 for UofM. Never mind.

edit...This prolly belongs in the pet peeve thread, but even after waiting through a half hour pregame show, they start with more moronic(IMO) analysis for ??? 15 more minutes? and 5 more sets of commercials. So the game will prolly start closer to 1. Ridiculous? you be the judge.
