View Full Version : Are y'all feeling the Lions?
Tahoe 09-14-2007, 07:26 PM I mean we are undefeated. Please get on the train. Yes, there is a trainwreck ahead but aren't trainwrecks fun?
Seriously, has anyone kind been thinking when you're bored and driving or something, THIS could be the year?
Timone 09-14-2007, 07:28 PM Only when I'm drinking.
Is the game even going to be on TV Sunday? If not, then I guess the rest of the Walmart Lions aren't yet.

This is like when the pretty girl looks straight at you, and you're feeling lucky. She mouths "hi" to you. Hot damn!!!! You're "in".... until you realize it's the man directly behind you she's communicating with.
Fuck that whore... and fuck the Lions... those WHORES.
b-diddy 09-17-2007, 04:42 PM nothing funny to add. the offense is exactly what i expected, the defense is better, but jon kitna is already playing through concussions in wk 2. its going to be fun till the party's over because jon kitna got railroaded one too many times due to lack of running game and no 0-line. i like tatum bell alot more than i thought i would too.
another + is we atleast seem to act like a professional, veteran team out there in form and substance. this is the most likeable lion team in 5 or 6 years, and easily the best. too bad its liable to collapse at virtually any second. i fear for kitna's life vs the bears.
Glenn 09-17-2007, 04:45 PM I wonder what Martz could do with Byron Leftwich?
b-diddy 09-17-2007, 05:38 PM seems logical but how long does it take to learn martz' system.
MoTown 09-17-2007, 05:57 PM I wonder what Martz could do with Byron Leftwich?
I've been wondering why the hell the Lions haven't tried to pick him up. Kitna's crazy, and I'm almost positive he's going to get hurt so then we're stuck with JT O'Sullivan.
He's young and might work out.
Why not?
Tahoe 09-17-2007, 07:01 PM Without Kitna I'm NOT feeling the Lions as much. JT concerns me. I was about to say Millen should see if he can make a trade for a vet or bring in Leftwich, but mentioning Millen is kinda like stepping in quicksand or something.
micknugget 09-17-2007, 07:30 PM Having to have O"Sullivan play showed me a huge problem with th eLions and I doubt that it will get fixed. Without Kitna, this team is poo.
mercury 09-17-2007, 07:51 PM I'm feelin' Kitna... he's the anti-Joey... even if his QB rating won't be good... gotta like a guy that gives everything without backing down... besides it's about damn time the fans got behind a QB instead of running him.
As for the Liions.. every sarcastic, demeaning thought cross the skull but I will say that the pass protection has improved (despite some glaring breakdowns)... last year you could count to 3 1000 and the QB was sacked, fumbled or tossed it up to the gods... now they are holding them off until 5 1000 (so far)... it's the difference from finding the secondary receiver or having time to scramble.
Same could be said for the pass rush... it's getting there much quicker...
Then again we haven't played a good opponent on the road yet.
darkobetterthanmelo 09-17-2007, 10:55 PM Leftwich would suck here, the whole point of the martz offense is getting the ball out accurately and quick, both things leftwich struggles with. Plus he would get sacked every other play, he is more suited for an offense like Pittsburgh or baltimore.
Tahoe 09-17-2007, 11:01 PM Who does fit our system?
Balkan 09-18-2007, 12:10 AM Man, I go hibernate for three months and the whole Detroit Sports world is upside down. However, I do like how Mr. Kitna reacts to tight games. Praying to the Gods is always good.

Well I've been praying to the Old Ones for just a couple of easy goddamn Lions wins, and it appears that Cthulhu has finally answered.

I hope he doesn't go to Baltimore...they already have Byron Leftwich (aging McNair).

No
Big Swami 09-23-2007, 09:40 PM No
Death, taxes, and the Lions pissing away a good streak.
Timone 09-23-2007, 09:51 PM We can still win the Big Ten and go to the Rose Bowl guys.

WTFchris 09-25-2007, 04:40 PM Typical, the female isn't even interested.
D's Nuts 09-25-2007, 08:12 PM Sounds like problems at home Christopher???
Tahoe 09-25-2007, 08:33 PM Truth is I am still feeling the offense. The Miracle Man threw for 450? Our offense put up some good numbers on Philly in Philly.
The defense didn't get the memo that the FIRST defender CAN tackle the runner. Not taking anything away from Westbrook, but that was lame. The D looked like a bunch of amateurs.
Big Swami 10-01-2007, 11:44 AM The Lions: genius playmakers, and good coaching, but the big men are wimps. Tackle someone! Defend your QB, you fat weeping vagina!
Tahoe 11-05-2007, 10:27 AM I am, but reserve the right to change my mind often.
