I can't wait to see another MSU performance. Last week's game was the most I enjoyed watching MSU in a long long time. Not because of the result, but because of the way they played. Disciplined and agressive. I hope to see more of the same, but BG runs the spread and they beat Minnesota last week. Should be much closer than last week, however I anticipate an even more in-sync Spartan team. This team will get better each wk IMO. Hopefully it'll be another Spartan victory and an impressive one.

MSU 44

BGSU 27

I hope MSU doesn't give up that many points unless 2 of the scores come late when the game is over. I'd like to see another great defensive performance. If BG can put 27 on us, then the BT would put 35-40 and that's not the direction we are headed.

I'm horrible with predictions, but I'll say...
MSU-42
BG-13

BGSU has a very experienced and fairly talented O-line. As well as a poised QB and good receivers, one is very good. Coupled with the fact they run a spread, I think the secondary is going to have a few problems.

BG's offense is 110% better than UAB's

Can I root against a school I didn't attend? Or do your rules call for complete impartiality if you didn't attend?

I'll assume you never root against UofM as an example?

And if you did attend MSU, does that mean you absolutly HAVE to cheer for them? Or are you welcome to have a grudge against them?

Wow, that would make my weekend awfully sucky. I did read up a little more on BG and I'm not real happy about the fact that they run the spread. However, I have complete confidence in Narduzzi and MD being very prepared for it unlike our neighbors down the road. I'm not predicting a close one, but I could see it. I think we are going to physically beat up BG on the Oline though.

Don't worry, I've predicted MSU to lose in 457 of their last 459 games.

So what you're saying is that you have a pretty good prediction track record.

Congratulations to the Sparties. The Omaha World Herald named Brian Hoyer one of it's "Saturday Stars" for his effort against Bowling Green.

Not a pretty game but a W regardless. Good to see the guys play hard through the end, grit out a W.

First real test of the season next week.

A day after the game with time to think about it, I'm pretty happy with yesterday. It wasn't pretty, but Bowling Green made it that way. They were putting 8 and 9 in the box, so we couldn't run like we wanted.

This is a game that we would've lost last year. Despite the frustrating spread offense, MSU still was tough and fought hard when facing adversity for the first time. Something Dantonio is trying to teach.

Devin Thomas was FANTASTIC again and I am starting to LOVE Greg Jones. 2 games in a row he had the hit of the game. Lovin it.

Pitt. falls next.

The defense played exceptionally well. Narduzzi made great adjustments at the half. The offense was not so hot. Minnesota was able to run the ball up and down BGSU. Granted, Perhaps BGSU wasn`t prepared for that as the new Minnesota HC is a spread guy. Also, Hoyer was average. He made some good throws and also committed some drive killers. No big deal, but he needs to consistently make good decisions.

However, I do agree this is a game they would have lost last year. So, that is very encouraging. I think the team comes out sharp next week and buries Pitt.

Zippy, please don`t tell me you are one of those george w. bush psycho-patriots on top of everything else. Wal-Mart Wolverine, psycho-patriot and on disability, that would be too much.

My disability checks ran out, idiot. I'm on social Security now.
Every loafer worth his salt knows that social security is where the big buck$ are.
Plus, that's why it's called "security": Once you get it, you get it for life.
If you weren't so busy getting imaginary degrees, you'd know this stuff, and then you could retire on $74.89 a month like me!
