Lindsey Hunter tells WDFN-AM Detroit his role this season will be as a "player-coach type of guy ... moreso coach."

Hunter also commends Joe Dumars for not blowing up the team after they lost to the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, instead making some small changes to tweak the roster.

Michael Curry has probably already been promised the job for next year, anyways.

It seems to me like Lindsay makes as many boneheaded plays as anyone on the team. Do we really need a coach to teach players how to get 3 fouls in 3 minutes or how to lead a fast break into a turnover or terrible shot? I understand that he works hard, but the guy never struck me as a cerebral player, especially by point guard standards.

Lindsey should have retired back in 04. dumars is the only reason his useless ass has a job. absolute waste of a roster spot.
