They had the CBA online before anyone else too It has a ton of details if anyone cares to read through the bullshit Pharaoh 12-29-2005, 10:54 AM www.pistonsnation.com - credit MUHME WTFchris 12-29-2005, 12:55 PM future draft picks owed: http://www5.realgm.com/src_future_draftpicks.php H1Man 12-29-2005, 06:58 PM future draft picks owed: http://www5.realgm.com/src_future_draftpicks.php Aren't we supposed to get a 2nd rounder from the Dupree trade? Pharaoh 12-30-2005, 02:58 AM Yeah, we are. Even NBA Draft.net doesn't have it listed. WTF? CindyKate 12-30-2005, 02:22 PM it's likely not updated that often. the fine unprotected pick from Knicks to Bulls in the Curry trade isn't showing either. CindyKate 12-30-2005, 02:23 PM btw, basketball-reference.com has a dash in it Anthony 12-30-2005, 03:03 PM works either way. This would be great for those of you in other countries, or even outside Michigan. And it might be cheaper than League Pass, too, but I haven't crunched the numbers. History of NBA transactions. Really, really sweet. http://www.n-c-systems.com/hoops/index.html Holy shit. How long you been sittin' on this Glenn? According to CPB, Bullets traded Jeff Ruland, Cliff Robinson to 76ers for Moses Malone, Terry Catledge, 1986 first round pick (#21-Anthony Jones), 1988 first round pick (#3-Charles D. Smith) on 6/16/86 Wait a minute. The Bullets trade Cliff Robinson in 1988? WTF is that? Cliff wasn't drafted until 89 and then by the Blazers. What kind of stoner bullshit is this website? [Edit: Shit! Now I'm up at 1 am looking through bio's to try and figure out if I'm high or someone is copying some fool's errant facts.] Even NBA.com says Cliffy was traded by the Bullets after the 85-86 season! http://www.nba.com/history/players/malonem_bio.html Cliffy's old but in 86 he was finishing a less than spectacular rookie year at UConn. http://thedraftreview.com/history/drafted1989/images/clifford-robinson.jpg http://thedraftreview.com/history/drafted1989/Robinson-Cliff.htm Kneepad 03-01-2006, 09:27 AM Hi all, I run that transaction archive site and happened to see linkage to the site from this forum, so I figured I'd check it out. Fool, I believe the confusion lies in the fact that there are two Cliff Robinson's who have played in the NBA. The one that went to UConn and played for the Pistons is listed as "Clifford Robinson" and the one that went to USC is listed as "Cliff Robinson". We've tried to keep the two straight, but if we've mixed them up anywhere on the site, please let me know where and I'll correct it ASAP. Fool 03-01-2006, 09:30 AM Damn, now thats service. Vinny 12-12-2006, 01:55 PM ^^ You know whats crazy? Is how much NBA salaries (probably all major sports) have ramped up over the last 20 years. Jordan made chump change even when the Bulls won their last title. Sickening. To interject, jordan actually got $30 Mill per his last year or two. I think it's still the record because of the new cap....your point's still valid though, it's crazy. I still remember when the country went nuts when the Tigers gave Cecil Fielder $7 million. Now that gets you a Jason Marquis and a half a bag of peanuts. Zekyl 12-21-2006, 09:29 AM Actually, it gets you Jason Marquis but you have to FEED him half a bag of peanuts. Stipulation in the contract. Glenn 02-01-2007, 09:03 AM Yahoo just redesigned their Sports pages. Glenn 06-06-2007, 09:50 AM http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/index.jsp Salaries and a bunch of other good stuff. Glenn 08-09-2007, 01:36 PM Anybody got a link that shows what specific trade exceptions (actual dollar amounts) that teams possess? WTFchris 08-09-2007, 04:06 PM I thought TOS had that. Glenn 08-09-2007, 04:09 PM The link that H1Man posted in this thread (post #14) is as close as I could find, but it only has a check mark in a grid if the team possesses a TE, doesn't show dollar values. Joe Asberry 08-22-2007, 08:46 AM nice but long article http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrookpreview/070821&sportCat=nfl In Game 5 of the Cleveland-Detroit playoffs, series tied at 2-2, the Pistons had the ball at half court at the end of regulation with the score tied and 10 seconds remaining. (Actually 9.6 seconds because NBA timekeepers can sense tenths of seconds.) Chauncey Billups took the inbounds pass and dribbled, dribbled, dribbled. He didn't start his move toward the basket until three seconds remained, then, with time about to expire, he heave-hoed a crazy off-balance 3-point try that clanged. How could 10 seconds of sports be more screwed up than this? Detroit did not need a 3-pointer to win, yet this normally high-IQ team ended up with basketball's lowest-percentage shot. The Pistons ran no play -- no picks, no nothing; four guys stood watching as Billups dribbled. After barely drawing iron, Billups grinned at the cameras. All that week, the NBA had been promoting Billups as "Mr. Big Shot." You sense that he took a crazy, unnecessary 3-pointer because he knew that if it did go in to win the game, he would be lavished with praise by sportswriters, extolled on "SportsCenter" and so on. And where was Detroit's coach when all this was happening? My 12-year-old, Spenser, was yelling "Start the play!" at the tube when Billups was still 30 feet from the basket and doing nothing. As regulation ended, Spenser snapped off the television, pronouncing, "Detroit will lose in overtime, and after that, they deserve to lose." Truer words were never spoken.
